2020 Thor A.C.E. 33.1 - Thor's Number 1 Selling Motorhome

hey everyone I'm Matt welcome back to another video today we are taking a look at the all-new 2020 Thor Ace this is model 33.1 this is a new floor plan by Ace and Thor Motor Coach which I'm pretty excited for because as you guys know I'm not a huge fan of the ACE product from Thor but this one is a good one we are going to take a look at the outside features first then the inside features then I'm going to give you three things I love about this motorhome and three things I dislike about it we're starting in three two one hi everyone again my name is Matt from Matt's RV reviews it's the the 2020 Thor 8 and as I said I'm not a fan of this RV and it has nothing to do with Thor or this that it's all personal opinion I feel like for a little bit more money the Thor wind sport is a lot better brought up but at the end of the day that's just my opinion it's not up to me it's up to you the consumer and I'm just here to kind of educate you and show you around now with that said this wants a new floor playing the 33.1 which actually does get me fired up because it's a great floor plan which I really like now the door ace with all that being said Ace is the number one selling motorhome in the country because of its price point dollar-for-dollar hands-down the ace is the number one selling motorhome in the country if you guys don't know a stands for Class A Class C evolution so it's a class a Motorhome you're gonna want to watch out a stands for Class A Class C evolution so it's a class a Motorhome floor plans like a Class C kind of combo all-in-one but let's get started the model is 33.1 but the actual tip to tip length is 34 feet 8 inches right here you do have chrome mirrors with a camera right and built-in side it's not even a good car really and what makes a vase unique it's kind of this front growl right there to help prevent the sunlight from coming in when you're driving down the road also I will say big improvement to the 2020 aces and 2019 aces with the front headlights I think they look very mean and aggressive really nice you do have frameless windows throughout the whole RV something that I really like that Thor does this is a doggy window or for me a kiddy window I swear to God when I go camping my cats sit right there looking out the window at us having a good time while they are inside the camper Supper you do have a full awning with LED lights it's electric awning and I like how this floor plate has two slide outs both on that side not on the camp side so you do get all your camping space you have storage right there [Music] more storage right here and I love how Thor started doing these on suicide door type of things so it makes it so you can get a longer object in the RV [Music] right here you do have a TV on the outside a little bit more storage here also if you look right there they do have LED lights into storage also right here you do have your power plugs so if you do have a golf cart you can park it outside of your motor right here is your propane tank it is an 88 pound propane tank also I'll put all the specifications about this motorhome blanks with right all down in the description below right here you do have a 6 gallon DSi water heater here are some of your leveling of batteries right here you do have a propane quick connect if you want to have an outside grill and then here you have a little bit more storage and it is the 50m motorhome and that was the power point coming around the back you do have an 8,000 pound hitch but this motorhome cannot tow 8,000 pounds um when you take the GVWR in the GCW are you'd be safe around 4,500 pounds fully loaded and if you watch what you load then you can tell more so it's safe to say five to 5500 but again you really want to weigh your motorhome before you tow anything more than 5,000 pounds you have a bumper on the back which I'm a huge fan of so many motorhomes aren't doing this for some reason and I'm a fan of it you have your camera right there and then notice how its integrated in the back taillight that's just one less hole on your motorhome and you do have a one-piece TPO roof let's go up there and take a look up here on the roof again it is a one-piece TPO roof it does have a 12 year warranty you get not one but two air conditioning systems which is nice some of the aces they use only have one air conditioning system so I'm glad they upgraded that you do have slide toppers on both slide outs right there's your wine bar and right here it is prep for solar and if you haven't already make sure you hit that thumbs up button what other RV salesman's gonna climb up on the roof to show you what feature that it has on it it just fit on myself also wrapping up with the back your fuel fill up here it is an 80 gallon fuel tank and I do like how it's in the back so you can access it on both sides [Music] coming around the driver's side here it's your 50 amp power cord hookup here's your generator and say you get this hang on a Cummins 5500 gas generator I have come in some not Cummings sorry everybody I had a lot of people I'd be but I'm unsubscribing it's Cummings yeah seriously Cummings over here you have more storage [Music] also note that right there there's a drain hole so if any moisture or wetness or if you want to clean this with a hose you do have a drainage coach right there here's your city water connection [Music] here's your wet Bay now if you guys saw my video last week on the Thor magnitude right it has the same wet Bay the difference is this is an entry level gas Motorhome and that was a two hundred thousand dollar super seat this wet Bay I am totally fine with in this product that magnitude though whoa wrapping up that's all storage there [Music] more storage there awesome great the outside Owen I didn't mention Ford v10 engine 460 pounds of torque one of the f53 chassis the outside of this RV looks great but it looks even better on the inside let's go take a look [Music] so this is normally the part where I walk through the motorhome with the slide-outs closed but we can't find the keys and I really have to make this video today and you guys will understand why by the time you're watching this oh boy this motorhome it's it's a deep slide but there's still plenty of walk space throughout and I'll have a picture with the slide-out closed right now and yeah get started with the front cockpit area so in the passenger seat I love what Thor does with the driver side table this is it sounds silly this is one of my favorite features it's a sturdy table when you look at the integra coaches there's such pieces of crap on the table part I absolutely love what Thor does here also you have power there and cigarette lighter power and then you do have your doggie window over here in the cockpit area Oh new Thor has these new 10 inch screens their navigation there it's the radio it's your left and right blinker your Bluetooth but I like helps navigation now I don't think you should use navigation in the Motorhome it's better to use your cellphone but a lot of people want navigation and yeah just a normal cockpit - area on your LCI electric leveling here and it's just it's just really nice also you have a bunk over the cab and it does hold 250 pounds and when this jumps down it lays flat what's great about that is the bed stops here so if the bed ever breaks you can still get to where you're going with the bed down where some of them the whole thing will drop down and you're not able to do that oh snap we have power how do you think we had any power I'm just going to show you instead [Applause] not that these things ever break but you're still able to drive and to get to where you're going oh hang on we got power let's get the lights on boys [Music] oh cool so check out this living area as you guys know I love the double sofa this sofa Jack nice yeah this sofa jackknife Sam makes a bed you have a TV right here it's not one of the fancy ones on the televi 2 price point motorhome but something else I'm a big fan of check out this right here Jen look at how much like so fear driving down the road you can like placed up there and you got your cup holder there's also seat belts then over here you got your movie theater seats oh yeah they were fine simple it's nice got two cup holder there I love the cup holders and you're almost directly across from the TV you also have a TV right there so if you're having a social group more than two people you can have the TV on over here design that you got storage under there storage under here you got seat belts on both sides also this dinette does drop down to make a bed oh snap look at that where's that at Kimmel station no no kibble station false advertisement where's it supposed to be false advertisement Thor supposed to be a kibble station under an oven and I don't see no kibble station ya showed on the screen supposed to be a kibble station and I don't see a kibble station in here over here in the kitchen you have nice cabinetry not hidden hinge price point Motorhome good countertop space and I love how big this sink is there's no sink cover but I do like how it's a nice big deep sink you have doors here no kibble station a cable station right here you do have a microwave convection oven it's a small one but no big deal you got a three cooktop burner and you have a nice regular oven no they're taking them out of a lot of motorhomes and people aren't lengthen that right here you have a rv-style refrigerator 2-way fridge does run off both propane and electric got a little bit of storage up there and then check out this bathroom with the pocket door I love the pocket doors because when you have the doors and the slide outs are closed even though this is the way it is all time it's just very annoying holy smokes look how big the showers now this is a good sized shower for real okay I like it now I'm making a mental note porcelain toilet all right Thor you didn't give us a kibble bowl but you gave us a porcelain toilet I like that I'm going that way in the live in the bedroom area you have storage above the TV right there you have a ton of storage place two AC units this is a slide-out slide-out comes in you have USB chargers there you got your table for your sleep at machines and yeah king-sized bed as well this is again not a huge fan of the ACE personally but I do like the Splore plants pretty nice floor plan now before you leave it's now time for me to give you three things I love about this motorhome and three things I dislike about it what's the new first would you like okay very easy what I like pocket doors sound silly but I don't know why everybody's not putting pocket doors to access this thing with the slide outs are closed it's very annoying you can use these pocket doors all the time they're nice they're sleek they're out of the way that's number one number two it's this big shower I'm telling you they make these showers so small so the fact that it's big not only that it's radius right here so it gives you a couple more inches you know by your head that's just so nice this is a great bathroom for for this price point motorhome that's number two and then number three I like this is money for the passenger seat this tray it sounds stupid but to me the way the way I camp this is huge the fact that my wife can get on the computer while she's while we're driving it's just very nice and I like the doggy slash Kitty window all right there now the three things I don't like about this motorhome all right that's number one number one number two so I got to find a third thing third thing okay there's there's really believe it or not there's really not too many things I don't like about this motorhome you know I won't say this here's what I'll say I personally don't like [Music] how the sofa is not directly across from television I feel like this floorplan would have been a little bit better if they move this door hmm over here yep because she check it out right look look we're on to something here hey you listening Thor because now you got this sink right there whereas if the door was here then you have nothing next to you or on to something especially when you're sitting in this scene ya know y'all stick around for the 2020 at one ace 33.2 coming to you soon they should literally just move that door and and it makes it a really great motor moment but there might be some engineering reasons why well another thing is some people like ah great point back because when the sofa here you can't tilt that all the way back in this way you are able to tilt it all the way back and I'd work with people that those big yeah gens RV reviews coming to you soon and then right here you do have a little shoe long shoe holder thing so that's number one number two I hate these twistlock doors when you upgrade to the wind sport you get the slam latch doors you still have the fiberglass and not be aluminum I just love the slam latch doors this is just so cheap and chintzy to me like look I mean wonder how much more that really close to really I don't think a lot more now with that said yeah I do like this dual door thing here but I do not like the twist lock and number three I hate how they put an 8,000 pound hits on this I understand why because the bigger hitch makes it so if you're um if your pocket if you're like not trailering something but like you put something the hitch like a bicycle hitch it makes it better but there's too many RV salesman out there that says oh 8,000 pound hitch that means you could tow 8,000 pounds and it's just not true and it's not safe and it's not good for you but if you're watching this video you already know that you can't so 8,000 pounds so there you go and a lot of people were buying this product the ace yet enough number one saw motorhome in the country they are first-time owners so they might put a vehicle that's too heavy and tow it and they don't know that they're breaking the law and not to ramble if you do get into an accident up you're at fault because you're overweight could not save it all but
