how's that to start you morning yes number one you kidding me it's time for the 2020 Bassmaster Elite Series we kick it all off today with the aapko Bassmaster Elite at the st. Johns River you know the big bass are coming but can he do it the legend Rick Clunn get he make it three in a row he took the title in 2016 and 2019 and he make more history can he possibly top last year we're gonna find out starting right now that and so many stories on the front burner on this very very special day first day of the 15th year for the Bassmaster Elite Series the time for preparation is done the time for just easing into has done it's serious business from day one right here welcome to the studio Tommy Sanders with the Hall of Famer Davie Hyde a big day in huge expectations rightfully so for this term absolutely it's the st. Johns River last year five bags over 30 pounds everybody great expectations but the weather certainly threw a curveball to these guys here this week yeah absolutely roadblocks if they did not have to deal with for the last few visits to the st. Johns River are huge play and huge right here we looked at those flags right there we look at that water right there and this is serious business you may think you can you can work it out but you can you can't deal with it you're exactly right Tommy you know this when people you hear the st. Johns River you think of a river well even with the forecast 30 40 mile an hour winds we can fish a river but the st. Johns River over 300 miles long very wide several miles wide at some points a lot of anglers going down to Lake George this is the right call no doubt about it these guys need to put it back on the trailer and come back a better day day one canceled absolutely for the best cuz we were sitting there us to me and my me and my Marshall sitting there stressing out about how these winds were gonna affect us making that long run I honestly three days ago my buddy in practice and I think it's gonna get canceled so I mean look at the forecast it seemed like it was the right call it's gonna be a rough one out there and you know the first day so you're not losing much by not getting out there but I was definitely looking forward to the changing weather and getting to go fish in warm conditions my thought is that I'll put the boat on the ramp and I'll go back to the house and then tomorrow morning I'm gonna come back to the ramp I lost my boat then we're actually gonna go fishing Mark feeling feeling we're gonna do it no well obviously a non-starter on day one that would be the story on scheduled day two as well so this is the new scheme for this first event of the year full field eighty-eight anglers on day one and two of a three-day tournament we'll be down to the top 20 on the final day of course we think about that Rick Clunn story one of many stories but that's the premier one because of what he done was win twice two visits by the elite series to the same body water how improbable well it does happen very often at all no doubt about it Rick Clunn coming back back the back of Vince and I back-to-back season but back-to-back events on the st. Johns River comeback King I want to call Rick Clunn no doubt about it for him to have those giant days on day three and then only day four and both of those events it was just about the magic week on the st. Johns River this time of year very very fortunate time to collide with those big fish and how about the man voted the greatest of all time to be the man to do it not once but twice in a row on this fishery that's the way it played out very middling day number one for Rick Clunn than super solid on days two and three and look at that almost 35 pounds on the last day of course everybody knows the story from last year the final day two nine pounders almost 35 pounds to come from a huge deficit we had five stringers over 30 pounds during the course of last year extraordinary years yeah absolutely extraordinary you know Tommy to win a blue trophy you hold over your head it's great but really and truly you couldn't script it any better for Rick Clunn after winning the previous time we were at the st. John's to go back there and have that hard charge on day three and day for the 35 pounds just absolutely incredible alright everyone picking Rick Clunn and why wouldn't you the tournament hasn't started yet we know though it will be completely different with those things in mind let's take a look at the fantasy dimension Rapala Bassmaster fantasy you know Ronnie Moore from Bassmaster Live and Ronnie's going to clue us in on it stands right now fantasy wise 2020 Rapala bassmaster fantasy fishing bigger than ever Tommy we have 27,000 people already signed up for fantasy fishing before the first event and rightfully so a lot of big prizes a lot of awesome opportunities Rapala has supplied for those winners of fantasy fishing when we get to it you're talking about Rick Clunn and Rick Clunn is one of the most picked guys in Bassmaster fantasy fishing rightfully so winning in 2016 winning in 2019 he's sitting there at 16% ownership a pretty good pretty solid rate for a two-time winner then we have a local favorite cliff prints only 5% for the local favorite knows more about the st. Johns River probably than anyone in the field and then you have Scott Canterbury won another angler to watch the 2019 angler of the year he's gonna be one that's gonna be looked at a lot this year but the three guys that owned the percentage from top to bottom the three most picked guys buddy gross in Elite Series newcomer he has one on the professional level in the state of Florida before he was at 43 percent the highest owned angler Brandon Cobb we know him from the 2019 Elite Series season two wins in 2019 he's sitting there at 37% a great track record in Florida as well and then the guy probably with one of the best if not the best track record in Florida John Cox he is over there at 32% a newcomer on the Elite Series and he'll be one to watch as well this week alright great run down a fantasy Ronnie right there now throw this out there I'll go overboard a little bit I'll say where's your heart if you're not picking at least before the tournament starts anyway but David we know this tournament going to be different all these roadblocks in their way so let's see how fantasy meets up with reality as we take you to the weigh-in on day number one you know 2016 at this to me eel grass and George one affair 2019 I went back in that area there was absolutely no ill grass left due to multiple variables mainly that 2017 hurricane and then in 2019 I had to move up in to just a mouth of Lake George and I want it there but there were smaller pads reeds and stuff first day of practice I checked those they were all gone and I spent that all those days trying to find more of that bill grant I got iPad and I just hadn't found anything one year is not like the next Rick Clunn knows that as good as anyone but the guy who really figured it out on day number one the Alabaman Kelly Jay 21 pounds seven and Pelle G starts the season off right you're brand new leader on the st. Johns River I got to take advantage of every pot I mean I'm not getting a ton of bites doing what I'm doing I'm unfollowing the dirt bait everybody knows so catching big fish and getting them in the boats to different lengths so I don't actually caught them earlier this morning on the lower tide the water was a little clearer and I don't know if they can see the bait better or what but I caught them on that lower tide and then as it came up of course it started moving up a little bit in the fight slow down you know I'm pleased with what I got hopefully I'll get those three and a half farm because chance to catch another nine probably in real good [Music] please stay out come on girl come here heifer yes just got to keep jerky well no Seekers there with Kelly J just got to keep jerking even in Florida he finds a way to make that jerk bait his bait of the day every single day of the Bassmaster Elite Series so you go north from there and you see somebody Paul Muller doing what we not accustomed to see him doing he's fishing shallow vegetation he loves to fish deep he loves to use electronics but I like his plan here he's getting away from the crowd fishing shallow that was cool that was cool thank goodness he wasn't that big see when they hit it weird I lost the big one yesterday cuz they just hooked like that it's a strike king hack-attack jig about a fish that was a big without had trouble he got me that mean man these fish are mean that bite was awesome oh my goodness oh my goodness gonna happen about to go down everything is different this time around in 2020 that fish we just saw Paul Mueller bring in well not as big as last year not at all but you're gonna have one of those in a top-tier bag this time around expectations are different the full field again fishing on day number two when we come back we'll have plenty more highlights from this very important day the moving day you've got to be in the top 20 if you want to make it to the championship the final on the third day we'll be right back the aapko Bassmaster Elite that st. Johns River has brought to you by Toyota [Music] Yamaha Skeeter boats [Music] and by power-pole [Music] you the much-anticipated first tournament of the season 2020 the Bassmaster Elite Series this is the ASCO Bassmaster Elite at the fabled st. Johns River so much anticipation as we take a look at our Yamaha unlock the lake what a tremendous playing field we have here this is a historic place for bass fishing 310 miles long the longest river in the state of Florida after rivers in this hemisphere it's unusual in that it flows from south to north and this is the sixth time the Elite Series has been to this very very special place and we look at all the different environments you can fish here we see these that canals these boat docks in extreme post front conditions this might be a place to find stable water that's where we find Jake Whittaker our Rookie of the Year from 2018 come on baby down yes sir yes that's a way to start a freaking morning right there wacky rig three pounder I will take it I want to take it yes sir yes sir well I will get the blood flowing early in the morning freaking shaking but you don't like that that's awesome let's do it again well that's right let's do it again there's nothing to get your morning going on a cold morning right out of the lack of water just going down south a little ways here with Jake Whittaker in the canal but gonna move up north high-waist north Paul Muller has got a great plan it appears no one else in the area he's doing something not so different other than no anglers around him that'll work that'll work I looked at it I was like should I both flip it sure that they live here dude they live here just this is the time man this is where I lost that guy look at it the hope came right out that'll help the cause short but stout man thank you lord that'll work won't put that on the big side that fish was right on the edge of that stuff that was cool man I put it in there right on that view man that's crazy crazy you know two more bites like that and you have a good bag I mean even though I have you know I had three not so big fish yesterday I just can't believe that hook fell out like nothing that's scary that is scary could well be scary for the rest of the field especially the ones among the 88 are gonna try to make it among the top 20 and Paul Muller doing something different everyone goes right out of the take-off he went left his Davy you said he found a place all to himself that could be a big difference maker that was a difference maker sighs bass as a belt so watch out for Paul Muller a first look at the season at the rookie Kyle Wiltjer Opelika Alabama stood on the eastern bass procom tournaments last year and made it to the Elite Series and I think we may be seeing a difference maker right here let's watch what happens oh my god dude look at that wood baby holy crap what whoa what what is right Wow nice you just want to get out on the water with Kyle Wiltjer right there just think about it Tommy ten minutes to go the second day of your Bassmaster Elite Series career and rookie Kyle Wiltjer gets his fight with just some few minutes left the fish and it's a 10 pound or personal best for him that's what you live for right there that's why you feel some Zee Stern opens to be able to come here to the Bassmaster Elite Series to to to to to to to to die and fasts I've never caught a 10-pounder in my entire life that's the biggest fish I've ever caught right there and I'm so excited right now I can't believe the way today came together at 12 o'clock I was like today's the day we're gonna suck but we turned it around and it worked out so I'm happy I'm ready to be back out there tomorrow the biggest fish of his life on the biggest stage he will effort be on right there everything coming together for Kyle welter how about her 2018 Bassmaster Rookie of the Year Jake Whitaker getting the done as well Kelly Jay the biggest bag of day number 121 pounds and 7 ounces he's about a third off on his production today only 14 pounds and change but he's right in there and how about Paul Muir he's putting together a plan that may be hard to start at 20 pounds 8 ounces yesterday looking for 12 816 there wasn't that much water in the place that I was fishing is there was on the first day but I just kind of was like man if I could find a mat with enough water on it there's got to be a big fish on there and the ironic thing is that six four that I caught I caught punch in the mat probably about 10 yards from where I lost an eight pounder on day one Paul Muller what a story last year a champion on the Bassmaster Elite Series looking to repeat that feat he did it in the second stop last year he might be able to pull it off on stop number one definitely the man to catch right now but just a pound ahead of Kelly Jay our day one leader Jake Whitaker found a place very much to his liking where he gets to use his confidence techniques and Kyle Wiltjer giving us a peek at what the potential is in this incredible place the st. Johns River when we come back the cut has been made 20 anglers at it on the third and final day of this tournament there's not a one among the 20 that doesn't have a chance to get the big job done thank you lord thank you lord yes first stop of the year for the Bassmaster Elite Series 2020 the st. Johns River Palatka Florida so much anticipation for this week because we had an absolute barn burner a big bass bonanza in 2019 this time around a very very different story of course the weather has caused the shortening of this tournament to only three days we fished the full field for two days now 20 have made it it's been a kind of a thing of survival more than anything else Davy but a good chance to hit a big lick for these 20 who are left on the final day and it might get a little good context by taking a look at our Skeeter boats tasting the bait though and see how they got where they got so far and give us your idea of what they'll be doing to finish her up well the great thing about this event just like all the other events you're gonna see guys doing very well using different techniques different methods here you see Kyle welter flipping a big heavyweight ounce and a half into these mats and a 10 pounder personal best for Kyle while his first Bassmaster Elite Series tournament something he's dreamed of this week here on the st. Johns River and to catch a 10 pounder with about five minutes left to fish that makes your tournament no doubt about it catching your personal bests and here's something totally different you go from bout 65 pound braid to ten pound braid fishing a wacky rig around these boat docks these fish are coming in these canals setting up to spawn very very patient on Jake's part not getting a lot of bites hey he did not have a feast the first day of the tournament went into this can I broke out the finesse technique that he's very very comfortable with that he does a lot at home and it paid off for him and determined Kelly Jay not surprising at all to see him with a jerkbait his hand he's fishing all the way down in salt springs 30 40 miles from these other guys doing what he loves to do had a great practice called a couple big fishing practice we saw him lose a fish earlier in the day that probably will cost him dearly and Paul Mueller our leader going into the final day doing something not very different from Florida he's using a big weight to punching these mats getting around this lush vegetation on the northern part of the st. Johns River farther downstream from the field which is very unusual but here's the key to his tournament he got away from the field you cannot hardly ever do that in Bassmaster Elite Series tournament especially in the state of Florida he had this area all to himself that is unheard well a big day today that is for sure day three of the shhhhh weather shortened tournament twenty anglers out there today in what a field we have taking to the st. Johns River we've got former champions we've got rookies in the mix as well we've got a classic champ from years gone by also and all of them trying to hit the big lick today to get something done to put them in the conversation for this first all-important first win of the season and maybe it's a it's a time for butterflies if ever there was one you really haven't had a chance to settle into the routine you're sort of on edge and it's just makes for a lot of excitement too a lot of excitement no doubt this week the first two days being postponed because of the weather a lot of butterflies in but today is the day where those butterflies will be in everyone's stomach so here's something to think about normally if you make it to the final day championship Sunday or Monday you only have to really beat nine anglers here you have 19 other anglers competing against you and anyone has a chance but here if you look at the map you see our leader Paul Muller has something very special going on with the extra anglers no worry for him he has an area all to himself he chose to go north which is very unusual here most of the time you see anglers go south of Palakkad but Paul Muller doing something very different course his start here last year at the st. Johns River was not auspicious but boy at the second stop a completely different environment upland reservoir cold and rainy perfect for catching the big spotted bass acknowledged ninjas of electronics with no skills to good use notching that blue trophy he's got one on the line as we start this final day of competition on the st. John's that's a good sign no sir that's 12 we'll make sure oh yeah a little one well gotta start somewhere Paul Mueller on the board today a lot of questions to be answered today will it are we far enough to close front where things are gonna really pick up out here are they still gonna have to really grind it out today Kelly Jay wait he didn't have to grind on day number one 21 pounds and seven ounces let's take it out to Kelly Jay on the st. Johns River fishing offshore but on a big wall head flat river like this Davie offshore is a relative term it certainly is Tommy he's fishing offshore which is unusual in this area a lot of people are going up and down the bank flipping that shallow water vegetation but he's fishing offshore you see here looking at his hummingbird electronics he's found a little bit of a drop and he's fishing that jerkbait effectively along that drop Kelly J with what maybe it's gonna be a keeper for Kelly right there the size certainly has not shown up on this day one knows exactly what to expect John Kruse Maliki based on last year's performance John Cruz can be expected to find some big ones as well what a great campaign he had during the four days here on the st. John's nine pounders double-digit fish and also the biggest fish of the tournament 11 pounds plus take a look at this one right here this was in present day absolutely you don't give him a chance to catch fish like that in a lifetime very often let alone in a bass Master League tournament John Cruz who's on that 10th anniversary of his single Elite Series victory the duel in the Delta on the Sacramento River Delta and here he is John Cruz trying to make it to here and he certainly got a shot at it today he's well positioned Harriette's better fish better walked it walked it theater well suddenly haven't seen the whole lot of so far is a vibrating jig John crews mixing it up here on this final cold morning of the tournament and he's making a move up the leaderboard absolutely started the day in sixth place and already he's cut that deficit he's in third place right now for the 11 time classic qualifier from Virginia John Kruse but right now it's Paul Muller still on top but we got a whole a lot more efficient to come on the st. Johns River the aapko Bassmaster Elite that st. Johns River has brought to you by hummingbird [Music] Minn Kota Talon [Music] and by mercury [Music] we are back final day competition 20 and lers out there on the incredible st. Johns River for this ASCO Bassmaster Elite Series what a gorgeous place this is the true essence of what they call old Florida just as wild and beautiful as you can imagine the fishing is great young Patrick Walters having a good tournament here as he did last year we're definitely in Gator alley get started we didn't zero look up let's look how shallow it is kick it up dirt that's warned but I'm gonna get rid of him got a lot more water baggies to decide they were originally spawning on but yesterday it was so shallow they couldn't the boat can't even float over here I never kind of shifted to that side a watermelon magic fluke we were on short supply we had green pumpkin plenty of green pumpkin not not very many watermelon Patrick Walters yesterday and did they get to do what he loves the best his roots he says drag it through the dirt getting some good results and how about great results for this guy you're 2019 angler of the year Scott Canterbury that's a giant that's what we're talking about what a season 2019 for Scott Canterbury that's the way it lays out right there had an indifferent start to his first tournament of last year right here on the st. Johns River but turned it around and that was a story for a lot of tournaments for him Davey and really only one hiccup on Lake Fork yeah it's unusual for him to have that 49th in Lake Fork he loves to fish offshore but if you call 49th the hiccup you know you're in contingent for angle a year 2019 Oh incredible season last year for Scott Canterbury and here how's he doing on the st. Johns River to start this time around really a lot better than last year day to the production falls off just a little bit but that is a good solid start for the reining angler of the year the guy with the momentum who seems to be able to cherry had over one year to the next got Canterbury starting this day in eighth place not that far behind definitely a guy with a shot on this final day on the st. Johns River manatees check him out that's a good sign scared me today that means is warming up when they're out of the springs he got down to about 63 last time so that's the best the more this is the warmest we've had in the morning by far I was thinking it might be really good this morning probably needs when that water temp drops down to 66 68 at night instead of them low 60s that's when it gets really good taught me one he's 12 inches a little bitty guy captured one well the man again with the Momentum's got Canterbury carrying over from Isaiah Y title in 2019 this is the anniversary of a big accomplishment for John Cruz exactly 10 years ago the duel on the Delta Sacramento River in California got his Elite Series victory turn cruise rallies to the top of the leader and six out of the block out of the California Delta well since then John Cruz has been someone we see on this show a lot definitely one of the best in the business right now john cruz last year at the st. johns river kitchen to these giant fish are you kidding me exactly right 11 pound Plus right there John Cruz getting it done last year and this year right in the mix also that makes Hulk of them on the ChatterBait pretty pretty crazy John Cruz this time around utilizing those canals as a matter of fact a lot of our 20 on this final day can be found in this canal situation right here ChatterBait though we saw we haven't seen much of that but the guy who's doing something completely different remains Paul Muller it's just it's kind of coming down they're really the last couple hours to work you know that's what I'm gonna have to try to catch the majority of my weight you know I mean it's definitely up up up against a lot of things today just shortened day and the conditions aren't right if the conditions were right from the get-go it would be a different game but I'm seeing fish you know and I'm I don't think not all of them are bass but I'm seeing fish out in the channel you know I think they're just roaming around and hopefully when that Sun gets up they'll set up a little bit more that's what I got to do the rest of the day yeah I believe so yep 13 that's what I got to do the rest of the day though that's if that ain't a sign I don't know what is it's time Paul Muller it's always good to get some positive feedback a sign that early in the day and you got to think that Paul Muller can maybe at this point see a pathway to remaining on top of the leaderboard that's where he started on this third and final day John Cruz has moved up significantly Kelly Jay down to third a lot of movement or to come you [Music] the Bassmaster Elite Series first stop of the year for 2020 this is the 15th year for this top tier of anglers in the sport the Affco Bassmaster a leader on the st. Johns River beautiful spot been a little different this time around a weather shortened tournament let's take a look at buddy grouse the newcomers to the tour this time around having himself a good tournament good story to his Elite Series career working on my grass and get that one about that I'll be seeing a lot of buddy this year something tells us that one of the heroes of bass fishing for a long long time Quinlan in Austin Texas area he is another one of these anglers among our 20 left on this final day may who were seeking out fish in the canals and how about the 2002 champion via Classic champion from that year on late lake in Alabama Jay Yeller I got one finally started in the top 10 has fallen a little bit to start anyway pound and a half here is a definite rookie a qualified official rookie kyle wiltjer we saw this earlier came out here seeking the big bass the big stage the big dreams he's capturing a little bit of all of Penn on day number two the peenics pokes big bass ten pounds one ounce that one ain't like he's supposed to it's got a 10-pounder yesterday in a 12-ounce here today you didn't hear yes yes we cut any clothes we got us another one I flipped that treaty and time started calling one more kyle wiltjer looking for the ultimate rookie debut here and all the way up into second place what is going on with that here's our Rookie of the Year from 2018 and former college national champ Jake Whitaker hmm begging Oh bad one at all good quality fish two and a half two and three-quarter I'll take him thank you Jesus definitely a thank you there it's been slow for Jake Whitaker today but he's all in on this the first day he had zero at midday today he says I'm going to canal stay there all day I'm committed pot committed and speaking of that Paul Muller going a very different direction going up north but he's committed on this Creek golly dude he grabbed it - that's weird I wonder like if that's they just they kind of it's not like a bass bite you know they're using it and there's got to be at some point of time if not already a big female or two in this stuff as well yeah boy we are in the land the big ones today I was like I don't know how I was gonna catch a limit so to be actually be this far in the game is definitely a blessing I would have taken a 20th place have you said 20th place sure after practice to be like a small victory just the presence of keepers means for Paul Muller he's able to hold his ground to keep that lead he started the day with me while Scott can't a very very different story from day one he is struggling today back to flipping pads again we're just bouncing around trying to get a bite it's so hard Ty's really going out right now so hard to get a bite I mean it's tough I really thought today was gonna be off I keep thinking that but I mean it just hasn't happened I keep thinking today he's gonna be the day and it hasn't happened yet so for me that's it good a little bit better one good keeper right there finally for Scott Canterbury has been the crimen for a long long time on this final day with time running out Paul Muller so far able to hang on to that lead can he hold off the rest of these 20 anglers out here on the st. Johns the Affco Bassmaster Elite that st. Johns River is brought to you by Nitro boats Abu Garcia [Music] Berkeley [Music] and by Ranger Boats [Music] half go Bassmaster Elite on the st. Johns River beautiful place in our fabulous host City Palatka Florida right there situated on the river where it's flowing from south to north it starts to widen it gets really huge on its way out towards the ocean many many miles to go before it gets there Paul Mueller man who started the day with the lead and so far so far he's just put enough keepers in the boat to maintain that lead to maintain his spot on top let's go out to the leader after day number one that is Kelly Jay he's been in this spot all week long and he's about to lose patience with it as he's not getting the results today it's just not that's not that's not going on in there I can't get this time yesterday she doesn't have eight or nine bites so I'm gonna do another place rock awesome two and a half maybe I just get in there and grind it and then tell time to go in and you know catch some fish so it's tough to leave a spot where you caught a nine-pounder the first day had to lead him over 21 pounds but here it is on the final day think just are not going the way it needs to for Kelly Jason he's mu spots and change up baits a little bit well Kelly J and probably the rest of these anglers here and this 20 man field on the final day starting to feel time slipping away possibly an opportunity slipping away and you got to think most of these anglers the thinking was before this day started the dam would break today we'd really start catching big ones big time out here anyone who's been by themselves all day has naturally got to think that everyone else is catching up but yourself but for all these guys that is certainly not true and John Kruse big enough of a veteran to know that well that may not be the case in fact we're gonna give John Cruz our mercury move of the tournament based on his progression through the days he has had solid solid limits each and every day started it out with almost 17 pounds on day number one 15 pounds 5 ounces on day number 2 to move from 8 to 6 and today we've done what it takes he has gotten the job done one thing real important that you see John Cruz did today he came out with an open mind everyone thought today was going to be the best day fishing wise it's been a little slower and he's been mixing up the baits more than any other angler and it certainly paid off for him John is moving up the leaderboard that's what we are looking for right there big boys that is the deal right there he knows that that fish is a big boost for John Cruz can't he get there to the top by the end of the day he's got to get past this man Paul Mueller with three fish in the boat need a big bite you know I mean and maybe get a couple decent ones with it but I feel like I feel good doing this I think there's definitely more fish under this stuff it's just a matter of getting the bite flipping that one out that's a good one there thank you lord thank you lord yes that's the kind we need right there dude I know I'm doing the right thing yes it's gonna come down to the wire thank you lord look at that specimen huh how about that just catching a dink and then that's a good one dude that's a good one absolutely the fish he has been looking for after a day of very tough grinding all these anglers it has been a week of tough grinding but that one move that turn left the launch ramp and going downriver away from the rest of the crowd may have been the thing that sort of set set the mole for what happens with Paul Muller and it's very important first Elite Series tournament of the year at this point it looks like he's got enough to close the deal his second championship let's take you to the weigh-in [Applause] national champion Mueller start today with 36 10 he's looking for 7 pounds 11 ounces to become a two-time Elite Series champion [Applause] on championship Monday [Applause] neither Muslim on championship [Applause] [Applause] I don't know who's expecting they're certainly not Paul Mueller but that is the way it turns out your champion now two years in a row a championship for Paul Mueller that is super-strong they super-strong for anyone to win back-to-back seasons on the Elite Series but Paul Mueller is a deepwater Fishman we saw last year at Lake Lanier when he won he was in his wheelhouse but here at Florida it just shows the confidence that he got after he raised that trophy over his head for the first time it won't be the last time he raises the blue trophy over his head all right Paul Muller the next stop for him the Academy sports and outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by hook at Lake Guntersville where Paul Muller has some very special history and after that for the Bassmaster Elite Series were going to Chickamauga a rescheduled tournament after the classic and battling we'll see you next time wacky rig 3-pounder Oh that's what we're looking for right there big boys thank you Lord yes that's the kind we need you right there dude I know I'm doing the right thing yes it's gonna come down to the wire [Music]
