2017 Honda Accord Touring V6 - First Look

good morning we're a couple weeks out from when i did the video on my 2000 accord and i am now sitting here in a new to me 2017 accord and let's take a quick look so we can see it behind me and i'm gonna apologize for noises cars and stuff coming through but uh there she is 2017 honda accord touring v6 black on black now one of the really kind of cool things is the ability to start by holding and then doing boom [Applause] and there she is all started up lights flickering mean that it's running get someone coming behind me but as you can see very nice looking sleek lines just a ton of fun there it is v6 touring and when i say she gets up and goes she gets up and goes i mean big time so we're gonna turn it off same way we turn it on there we go so yeah it's been a lot of fun so far i haven't even had it 24 hours yet well i guess technically because i had on a test drive from thursday to friday but signed the papers yesterday gave the cash over and boy that hurt let me do a pause and we'll open up the hood and there is the last v6 the honda has put in accords 2018 they went with a four-cylinder turbo i'm guessing just like everyone else for gas mileage um i haven't tested this one out yet i haven't had it long enough supposed to get up to 30 33 on the highway 21 22 in the city and an average of 26. but man that is pretty and there's a lot in there a lot in there engines got about 40 44 000 miles on it a single owner which was nice so i didn't have to worry about any kind of weird handover or anything like that all right let's uh move on to a couple other things and again all all led lights on the front two running lights on the bottom and a couple of cool things there's radar right here and right there you can see two other sensors one's a camera yeah there's a radar i believe and that's to help with some like lane assist and the adaptive steering or not steering but uh cruise control and a whole bunch of other stuff but uh let's take a look i've already put a couple things in the back here but i've got decent trunk space about about the same as what i had on the other one uh the openings about the same but we've got 60 40 rear splits in the front so you can fold that down and get some larger items in there i added the netting but it came with the tray which is awesome because i was wanting to get one of those anyway so let's now take a quick look inside and i think we're going to be able to do this easier from back seat so let me put it on pause so just a quick note these back seats are only like an inch less in room than the front so i've even got my i'm in comfortable seating position i can sit back and both the rear seats have heating on it low and high uh which you don't see on a whole lot of uh like mid-sized cars but really cool so let's uh let's flip around here and take a look at the front so here's the cockpit as you can see dual screen the top one is info screen uh the bottom is your map and a bunch of other stuff radio controls uh it has the apple car play or the android carplay um a lot of controls on the wheel as we can see you can do almost everything from wheel that you can from the other the touch screens almost this thing has something called lane keep assist which will you can set up to either notify that you're switching lanes when you don't mean to be or it can actually uh bump the steering wheel to keep you in the lane it's a very surreal feeling when it does that and i'm kind of undecided yet but we're going to see what it feels like going forward a little while longer easy to read dash easy to read speedometer uh the tachometer as well uh there's just so much information up here almost on overload the climate control was very simple uh just you know i've never had one in a honda that didn't work um but everything just just functions perfectly and you can see a lot of room up here in the front both of the front seats also have the heated seats and uh you know push button start all kind of hands off stuff um even like locking and unlocking all i have to do is hit the door handle and that'll unlock or unlock as needed uh neat thing about the adaptive cruise control which i have uh messed with was the uh you can set the distance between you and the car in front you know from short to very very long and man it'll keep it um i did it yesterday for a little while and it just freaking worked so yeah it's just a quick intro well maybe not so quick but yeah this is the intro and i'm gonna enjoy a lot of years with this car can't wait can't wait for the first trip all right everyone we'll see you later
