I see this game as the turning point for Alabama football. In the years after Stallings left, Alabama went into decline, despite being not too bad with Franchione and that 2005 year with Shula (though the offense was horrible that year). This is when Saban showed he's going to make a big difference. Look at how stunned Georgia fans looked after each score in the first half.
And yes, the final score was 41-30, but the first half really showed that Alabama was "back", or whatever you want to call it.
