$2,000,000 Super Yacht Tour : 108ft 1998 Westship

the boat Bahama is a West ship 108 and are a couple of very good reasons or I want to show you this firstly because this is a classic all-american super yacht from the 90s and secondly because this is a colossal amount of boat for under two million dollars it is quite incredible so we're going to take a look and we're going to see what super yachting in the late nineties looked like and just how much super yacht you can buy so we're head on through here now one of the things you find about this boat is it's absolutely designed very much for living on and enjoying rather than being a showpiece oh there's no teak on the floor so if you spill your red wine doesn't matter and I've seen with all these areas well it all looks nice but I'd say it's not a show pony it's a boat to go out and use and have fun take the family and don't worry so go ahead inside first of all this is of course all areas as ever but we're going to start with the interior and that is classic late 90s American isn't it love the pale woods I love the styling of things like this table and the chairs and that kind of thing was a bar over on this side and you've got the seats around here that's really nice and that's where you can serve your drinks it is very much a party boat actually there's loads of social spaces all around it so you could have a lot of fun with this okay let's head on forward it's quite a big boat so plenty to take in I should point out very quickly that's it running it's surprisingly fast for this style of boat we will come back and talk about engines and have a look at them of course but let's head on around the cabins first of all well it's your day head in there and I say head rather than hits cuz in America and we head on Ford that takes you further up to the wheelhouse we're going to come back to that area one area I really love on this boat is this this is proper home from home country kitchen you can imagine families in here having a good time kicking back making something to eat sitting down on this table but a breakfast brilliant so much space and as I say proper home from home stuff that's fantastic big fridges and freezers over here cooking equipment is here and your sinks and so on very nice but so much space as we head forward again this drops us down to a couple of cabins there are separate cabin areas on this which is quite nice this is great because what you could think is use this for your kids for example and then keep their own area a bit more private we head forward into here and you've got V berths right up here in the bow this is a course or storage everywhere and then this has its own suite here and actually the laundry facilities are in here as well so that's pretty handy and the shower is in behind it and if we head across the boat there's a double cabin and that house its ensuite around here on the light switch but hopefully you can see that okay so separate shower area and the toilet is just there cool let's press on so we're back around here and we're going to find some more lower deck areas further back we're correct on that in the morning for a bit of breakfast how cool would that be okay let's press on back and then we will find back here if we head around to the other side this is the walkway down to the rest of the lower deck accommodation so in fact the areas are kept quite separate brilliant of course if you've got two families because you can have one family up there in the forward area and then another family down here so there's a lobby area here let's go look at the guest cabins first so these are two singles and of course ensuite as you'd expect that's in there and on the other side of the boat something pretty similar except that this one is a double so you can see what I mean about how others would work for two families you could have one family having this end of the boat and there's a family up at the forward end and some great entertaining areas to come together join a day very nice one thing I did notice I love this 90s HiFi kit they've got here that's brilliant I was definitely that in if it's my boat okay now the actual master cabin is this one here that is pretty spacious isn't it it's a full beam with a boat you can see there's portholes on this side and also on this side and you've got a nice comfort little seating is in here there's a dressing table and on the other side masses of storage and if we head to the front you've got your own separate loop here and then access to the shower and the bath is in the center and then your partner can have the other loo on that side now one of my other videos that had a situation like this a lot of people put in the comments well what if you're both in there at the same time you'd be able to see each other and that is true but you know here's a hint don't use it at the same time not rocket science let's move on so we'll just go and take a look on this side just of completion so that's a very sort of arrangement and again the same access to that bath and that shower awesome okay let's head back here what's in here big walk-in closet very nice that's a huge amount of space isn't it okay let's press on I walk with you now it'll take a turn around here and this will take us up to the wheelhouse and that's just here proper little peel to this always instrumentation around here and then the view out of the front of course wait a minute because we're at a boat show but yeah that's where that gets operated from and then this is a nice little space up here and while we're up here let's head all the way up to the top because this is the flying Beach and you have another helm stationed up here it is great if you are an owner wants to have a drive but be out from the fresh air with your friends that's the place you can do it from and then shooting around here and a bar area so many social spaces on this boat underneath here is a hot tub and behind that we have got the tender that's at the back and jetski and they can lift it on by this crane over here take a walk around and that is a way back down to the cockpit but we're not gonna go that way because not in the foredeck yet so we'll head back through here back across the bridge and back down into that wheelhouse so let's go back down the way we came we'll go out through this door there's a side door there so if you'll side to birth you go away in and out of the boat that way if we head up here there's a course takes us up to the foredeck and then you've got a big sunbathing area about the front that takes it up to the front of the boat there you go okay that that is a serious chunk of boat isn't it amazing okay let's head back down this side what's interesting is that the main saloon is full beam you can see this side decks top here that comes all the way out and that's what gives us so much space now it's a big boat anyway it's a hundred mate feet and it's a wide boat too but then take that out to the full beam as well and that is how you end up with a saloon that looks like that fast okay let's go and check out engines and the crew area so we'll go back through here that's that stay away from the flybridge so that's another way out and round the boat of course all these doors on manual or say it's not a show pony it's just designed to be used and to keep working that's what you want from a boat so to access the engine space we come back down to this lower aft cockpit area and this time we'll turn around this way and head into here okay amazingly enough this doesn't use very much by the crew because this is mostly a day boat but nonetheless you have got a mess area here there is a toilet there and a shower that of course is also quite handy if you are swimming off the back of the boat and that kind of thing you've got one almost to be abused you come on in here the bedroom with two beds and in fact that's quite sharing it as well it's quite interesting on this side there's another care in there that's not unusual the minute as you can see but this I think from ninety-eight boat is particularly impressive what you've got here is a pair of MTU engines they're eight three three nine six te ninety four and I didn't remember that read it off the card and I mentioned when we saw the boat on that TV earlier the speed this does 23 knots flat out which were a big super yacht especially one of this age that's pretty impressive look at the condition these engines they look really good cruising speed that's about 18 knots and you range there probably about six seven hundred miles something like that that's a bit of a guess but that's what I would expect this is a great engine space you can really walk all the way around these engines and you can get to all the equipment thanks for everything that you need brilliant okay let's head on back out these are some of the electrical panels just here and then we'll have that past this mess area finish up I think it's back in the cockpit let's get back
