20 Ikea Home Organization Ideas / Affordable Organization You Need 2021

[Music] you will [Music] hey everyone happy new year i hope you're all excited for a new year and a fresh start i know i am if you happen to be new here my name is emily welcome um today i'm going to be sharing with you 20 ikea home organization ideas all under 10 i recently got an ikea order and let me tell you i'm so excited to finally organize my home and will not only organize your home on a budget but it'll also be aesthetically pleasing and i feel like the older i get the more and more i want things to be visually very pleasing to the eye and ikea gives us just that so i hope you guys are excited for these ideas and hopefully you can implement them in your own home in your life to make your life that much easier for a year 2021 so i hope you guys enjoyed today's video give a big thumbs up share with your friends and let's go ahead and get into these home organization ideas so take your traditional garment bag ikea sells them in a set of three with two different sizes instead of just using them for clothing use them for a wrapping paper rolls or packaging supplies it's perfect because all you have to do is put a hanger in there and then you can hang it up in the closet it even fits the long packing paper from costco which i thought was really nice as well you can put so many different things in here so not only can you put wrapping paper but you could also put other holiday decor like a wreath all i did was loop the hanger through the holder and then put that through the top part like you would like a normal piece of clothing and then for the second piece you're going to loop it through the middle area and then just hang it from the bottom of the other wreath i fit two and this is the medium-sized garment bag so depending on the size wreath you might be able to fit three and i thought this was just such a good idea um because it will keep them dust free and everything and if you have room to keep them in the house that's even better if you can't get that you can always pick up this hook from dollar tree just the s style hook and you can hang up your wreaths in the closet as well next are these ikea storage bins they come in a set of six you can get them in white or the charcoal color and they're great for organizing drawers not only for your clothing and small accessories but you could use it for holiday decor or craft supplies or school supplies depending on what you have going on in your drawers it's perfect that fits so many different shapes because it comes with six different sizes in there and you can add them to each bin if you wanted to or you can leave them separate and then just add them into your drawer and you have a fully organized drawer and you can see everything it's visual and then if you're not using it you can collapse it and it stores flat next are these ikea hard sided bins and they have lids and they're stackable which is really nice you can see the different sizes here on the right and i really like these my husband got these for organizing his items and he's fully organized and i still have a long way to go but you can put so many different items in here from scarves to gloves watches you name it it's in there but it's stackable and it's easy and it keeps the dust off of everything another stackable bin is the rabbla i think that's how you say it and this is really neat because it comes fully collapsed so if you need to store it you can and it doesn't take up much space but it has a hard bottom and then you put these bamboo sides in to it and they clip in you can see the little notch there and it keeps it from collapsing and you have a really nice hard case storage bin basically this is a great choice if you're not into plastics and don't like that look and you want a more natural look you can get these fabric and bamboo organizers they can hold so many different things they're stackable and they have different sizes in them and they're just visually very pleasing looking another great ikea home organization system is this one which comes in a set of five and they even have lids which i really like because you can use them or not but it keeps the dust out and keeps everything really nice and clean so my husband actually got these to hold a lot of his shaving items and then i use the rest to store other items like smaller bottles because if you stack things upward they take up less space and laying them [Music] down you can also add q-tips to them and then with the lid you can leave this out on the counter if you want to but you can just flip it over and one will pop out or a few depending on how many you need so that's kind of nice and then it just keeps the drawer super organized and i can add my extra bottles in there [Music] now these containers are not from ikea but you can find them at dollar tree or amazon and they're really nice because they are stackable but they also keep out the dust and so you can visually see everything displayed in them but they stay nice and clean and organized and i wanted to show you that just in case you're not just looking at ikea items the next ikea are these shoe holders there's two different styles you can get from ikea but you don't have to just use them for shoes there's so many different other uses that are great for these you can put toilet paper in them and then you can actually because this is a two pack and they're not connected until you connect them you can take this and screw it onto the wall above the toilet if you wanted to or on the side so it keeps everything sanitary but also hidden which is really nice you can add blankets in here you could even add clothing in here anything that's off season which is really nice you can add magazines and games you can use it for any type of organization you need in your home i'm going to be adding these into my laundry room here soon which i'm really excited to make over so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss out on that there's just so many uses you can even turn this into a nightstand so you would attach it to the wall add a piece of wood to the top obviously screw it on and then use that if you don't have a lot of space in your room so something else instead of you know using regular bins that ikea sells and dressers to store some of your items you can get these under the bed storage containers they sell them in different sizes and these are great because they're you can add things that you don't normally use on a normal basis underneath the bed or on the very top of your closet that you're not going to need except for seasonal items and you can add those in there so again you can add packaging or wrapping gif things into these you can add blankets into them there's so many different uses for them and the nice thing about this is that actually has a hard bottom and it also has an extra two pockets at the top that are mesh so you can still see in them and get them and access items and you can have no dividers or dividers but it has the zipper and it even has a couple holes at the very top that's with mesh so it's still breathable so you can carry this it's a really nice under the bed storage it's the nicest i've seen for the price let me tell you i have a couple other ones that do not have a hard bottom and they are just a waste [Music] next item are these baskets ikea sells tons of baskets and baskets are a great way to hide different items that you use on a daily basis so my kids love to play different board games and card games and sometimes you just have movies lying around so instead of just having that scattered everywhere add them to a basket and put that in place and then you can just see the basket speaking of baskets these are really great these come in a set of three so there's three different sizes you can add these to the bathroom to the nightstand they could hold jewelry they could hold remotes and hide things in there but they're visually very pleasing looking but you don't have to look at the clutter later on which is really nice and it makes cleaning up really easy this is another set that's really nice it's a set of two and i like that they're rectangle so you can fit better items in there versus the round ones but whatever the case you can put teas and coffees in there or you can put markers there's so many different uses for these but again they hide the items that you use on a daily basis that you don't want to see out on your counters i have a lot of organization to do in this house we moved in about two and a half months ago and so i'm slowly getting around to doing it but these organizers that ikea has are great for the counter depth drawers because they take up the entire length and it's really nice so this one's a little bit wider but didn't quite fit so i needed to adjust the size on these but you could use these for your office for different office supplies school supplies you can use this for jewelry or for makeup if you want to you don't just have to use it for utensils the way i am it's really nice you can organize so many different things in here you can even put your spices in these things and do that but i like them because they're compartmentalized but they also take up the whole length of the drawer so there's no wasted space and i really like that about the bins and they're really affordable [Music] now you can also find these longer rectangular bins at dollar tree they're not long enough to hold some of the items that i would normally put in here but they're still a really good option if you can't find the ikea ones [Music] now you can take a traditional shoe organizer or a riser and use that in your cabinets to hold extra plates but also i think this is kind of nice you can put your dishes on the bottom and then put the lids on top of them i like that versus leaving them all stacked together ikea also has great dishes and organization uh containers that have lids which is really nice these actually have two different options you get the plastic lids with the rubber seal or you could get the bamboo lids they were just out of those but these are great for stacking in the pantry or just using for lunches and stuff and leftovers so if you're not using lacy's susans they're a great addition to your pantry but also in your cabinets for storing different bottles so obviously as you can tell ikea sells lots of different containers for you to utilize in your home but you don't just have to buy the container that goes with the ventricular system that they're selling i bought just the bins of the trofast to use in my closet for organization my craft supplies ikea sells these lipped trays which are wonderful for mud rooms or entryways even closets because it keeps everything wet inside of the tray instead of on the ground and these are great for inside the closet as well because they slide they keep the dirty shoes off the carpets ikea has lots of different sized bamboo organizers i have one for the silverware i also picked up this one for the knives which i thought was really nice it is a slightly more than ten dollars but it is nice we have whisked off knives and i thought this is just a great way to keep them in the drawer without us poking ourselves and just way more organized this way i really like it now ikea sells colanders and this one's great because you can put it both ways on your sink you not only can drain food and clean food in it but you can also let your dishes dry on the inside of it keeping everything nice and tidy so something else i wanted to show you are these bags that i got for games these have like a mesh lining in them so they're not going to rip and you can put board games inside of the bags and then you can just simply cut off the label of the game and then tape it onto the front and you can organize those into the bins and they are so much less bulky than the actual boxes and it's great it's easy for kids to clean up you can get those on amazon i hope i gave you all some ideas on ways you can use ikea products to organize your home and make your life that much easier i'm excited to transform our home and
