2 years of BOAT WORK TRANSFORMATION TIMELAPSE in minutes

foreign [Music] we bought an old open 60 a second generation imoka originally designed and raced in the valley globe [Music] due to her five meter draft to be able to haul out in Fiji we had to tie a big inflatable tube underneath one side of the hull to heal her over in order to reduce the draft to get in through the channel [Music] [Music] we still hold the record for being the deepest draft boat to be hauled out in Wonder Marina [Music] thank you [Music] that was the first of many challenges we'd need to overcome in the next two years whilst we transform her into a fast family Cruiser to take us around the world [Music] [Music] scraping all the old antifoul off enabled us to read any signs of damage or stress on the hull and start again afresh [Music] next we sanded it all smooth and filled in any cracks with Epi fill a two-part epoxy filler [Music] foreign [Music] was showing signs of delamination so we reinforced it with carbon fiber in a vacuum [Music] next we made a mold to make a sleeve to repair our nine meter carbon fiber boom [Music] and laminated it in a vacuum [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign foreign [Music] we also sanded and repainted our 27 meter carbon fiber Mast and to do this we first had to build a structure around it so we could lift it [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] we also modified our Ma so that we could make an additional third fourth day [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] we cut a hole in Our Deck to make a new access hatch on the stern foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] we see old holes in the deck [Music] and reinforced it foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] deck fittings [Music] foreign [Music] with carbon fiber backing plates [Music] thank you [Music] and resealed leaking windows [Music] all right [Music] we painted the cockpit [Music] and we painted the stern and the deck [Music] all ready for the installation of our New bouse Britain anchor setup [Music] thank you [Music] it was an extremely difficult area to reach so we had to be creative with the tools [Music] foreign [Music] and reinforced our superstructure and added steps foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] thank you [Music] we opened up our Mainsail and marked all the areas that needed repair [Music] and did a lot of patching [Music] foreign we measured our head sails [Music] and cut and restitch them to fit on our Furler system [Music] foreign [Music] we did a lot more things which really look forward to showing you in future videos but for now it's time to add a last layer of paint and put her back in the water [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music]
