2 Ways to Delete or Remove pages from a PDF document

hello and welcome there are times you will want to remove certain unwanted pages from a pdf document and you'll notice it is not that easy i've struggled with this myself many times so in today's video i will be showing you two ways to delete or remove unwanted pages from a pdf file stay tuned pdf stands for portable document format and it's a special format to share documents that keeps all of its layout and formatting the same across platforms and devices so it's widely used to send documents to everyone regardless whether working on a pc or a mac or on a phone it always looks the same however it is not as easily editable as for example a word document that you can simply open and edit save again and do whatever you want with it first i will show you the preferred way to do it and then a second freeway which does not need any additional software to be installed for the first way i'll be using adobe pdf professional it will just remove the pages from the pdf and you'll notice the file size actually becoming smaller afterwards to do this just open your pdf file in adobe professional as you can see the document is now open in adobe acrobat pro so that's not a normal dc free reader but this one has some additional functionalities we have a lot of pages in the document it's from ikea but as you can also see on pages 3 and page six there are some ugly advertorials so we obviously want to remove these but you can't with the normal pdf readers so we're gonna i'm gonna show you how to do it the good way just on the right go to tools and click it it will open a menu where you can choose delete it's as easy as that you can click the range from page 3 to 3 click ok and as you can see now the advert is gone that's very easy we'll also do the same for page five now because the page has moved up a bit is this one i'm gonna right click it this time click delete pages and now up the selected one okay are you sure you want to remove yes now the pages are gone all we have to do now is save the file and take a look in the folder and as you can see the original was 1.6 megabytes and this one is now 1.2 megabytes so it means the file size decreased as the information decreased we now have a perfect pdf with only the pages we want so that's the preferred way but it requires adobe acrobat pro which not everyone has so the second method everyone can do you don't need anything special it's very easy i'm going to show you you'll open the pdf again it is the version with the ugly advertisements okay what we will simply do now is go to file and then print you can do it in your own reader you don't need adobe acrobat pro for this just click the print and we are going to actually print to microsoft pdf we're going to print to a new pdf file so from pdf to pdf and we're going to select the pages we want we don't want the ads so we're gonna add one two four five seven eight so not a three not a six because those are the ugly advertisements in the preview you can just click and see they are already gone there so just click on the print button now okay and select where you want to save this new document i'm gonna give it a name results without adverts okay and i'm gonna save it in the second method folder we can close this reader now and there are two files and as you can see we have now a version without the adverts so it's just the same it's what we want the ugly pages are removed but unfortunately this new file is a bit larger so it's 3.1 megabytes instead of the 1.2 from method to one so the first method is the preferred one because it just removes the information you don't want and the second one is i think converting it to a bitmap losing the vectorial stuff and uh doing like that but in most cases that will suffice so as you can see it's not that hard anyone can do this you don't need a lot of fancy stuff so i hope this video helped you if it did please consider subscribing it helps the channel a lot there will be plenty more of these videos and as always have a nice day
