Tim Clemson and Florida State Florida State's got a hot defense as right now they're only giving up one yard per carry to the opposition so Raymond Priester of Clemson is gonna have his hands full you also the thing that makes him a little bit better than the rest he goes up just like that to make the big catch averaging over 18 yards per reception and his entire career I think the crowded Death Valley will keep this game close for the Tigers but eventually too much talent for for the state though where I'm down I end up winning this could be their second Road win pretty impressive well Kirk Florida State has gone to the fast break offense about 80% of the time and the reason is and that's the shotgun with no huddle the reason is they miss Rory guns legs and they substitute fab Busby's believe is rightfully theirs I think you know being on probation for the two years that we were not being on TV I think it's time to let these seniors go out on prime times was all part of if you blowout over Michigan State was followed by an off week and then the Huskers headed to the desert where Arizona State shut down the two-time defending national champions this season the Huskers dominated Akron but then last week look shaky against Central Florida true they've only lost twice in the last 364 days but things look and sound different in Lincoln it hasn't even been a year but so much has changed last year going in Arizona State you know we were on top of the world we're going for three national championships you know everybody kind of thought we couldn't be beat it hasn't even been a year but so much has changed this year would come off a tough win against University of Central Florida we don't think we're as good as we you know probably thought we weren't being a season and you know we've got a lot to prove a lot of people around the nation are saying that we lost our austere glamor and lost our respect around the nation and you know it's it's a time for us to come out and play a great game for the first time since the last time Nebraska played Washington 1992 the Huskers are an underdog in a regular season game it is a game they say they will define their season a game that for one to define a career is this a defining game for you I think so just because it's my senior year and if we don't have the kind of season we want to have this year then it's my last chance frost is Nebraska's prodigal son the one who transferred home from Stanford to assume the unenviable task of replacing D Tommie Frazier the war last week heard something very few Huskers and never Fraser ever bird at home Scott got boots guy got boot but mainly but our student section which I thought was just basically child is you know do something like that I mean the crowd basically showed me that I mean it fans all over can be fair were the friends all I was upset no question about it no pressure but I was playing well doing well and you know it's just something that got me upset and I actually played better because of it he completed 9 of 14 passes with no interceptions and a touchdown and he ran 10 times for 52 yards and another touchdown he played well for /er and he's playing better this year I was the best I graded since I've been an ambassador in fact Osborne says it's the best any Nebraska quarterback has graded in his 25 years as head coach but Scott frost got booed it's something that when things like that happen to you sometimes you might not have the same endearment four-year school that that you might had before honestly and you know I really appreciate the players I played here with and the coaching staff and things like that but I won't look back with quite the fondness on on the University as I might have before in two meetings Osburn has not beaten the Huskies but one of his players has Scott frost as a sophomore at Stanford he came off the bench in the second quarter for injured Steve Stenstrom that was a long time ago you know it was in the pouring rain at Stanford Stadium I came in and in late in the second quarter and finished the game and we were lucky enough to beat him it's not that big a deal but I am familiar somewhat with what Washington does not a big deal then but perhaps a huge deal today this could be defining game for Scott this you know this could be where they're not the fans like him you know or trimmer or not they're doing [Applause] frost didn't play but was on the sideline here as a freshman at Stanford and he's assured his teammates that it is as loud as people say it is and incidentally Chris and Nebraska practice this week as they had that crowd noise piped in it was so loud they're reportedly some university faculty complain Steve it's never quite the same as the real thing though it's been a case of London Calling of a faraway town Husker fans want Frankie lund in the back of Cour the big play guys and frost many fans want to make the change anyway husband says no he's not going to do it unless frost get hurts let's break down the game now Wynn frost and a company have the ball they'll face the defense it hasn't allowed a run Kirk longer than 13 yards negative five yards to BYU in San Diego State well I think that's the thing Nebraska realizes that Washington's going to come after them with an attacking style crowding the line of scrimmage Nebraska will be able to have to really mix the run and the pass you just heard from Scott frost he's gonna need to have a big day today he's a big strong quarterback that definitely has the ability to run the option as the speed and also has the ability cackles the big thing today Scott frost he's gotta be able to throw the football Nebraska's got to be able to give him time not only on plants and passes but also from the pocket I think I like Scott Brooks I really do I think last year Frost enjoyed a great deal of pressure trying to fill in for Tommie Frazier and all those national championships this year stop Frost is playing within himself and all that booing that's going on in Lincoln that's only motivating I think today he plays very very well lots of Nebraska to come right out and challenge the defensive team of Washington's manhood they're gonna run right at him and find out if they're any they're tough enough to take them on and if Washington's gonna win this name they're gonna need Tony Parrish the strong safety and all-american to come up and makes a good place if Washington contains the Nebraska run Oh too bad Nebraska can't win throw the football now when the Huskies have the ball Brock you remember his one interception as last 158 attempts become great at checking off a lot of big runs resulted from his audibles and he's great in the red zone yeah one thing about Washington when they get into the red zone watch out the fat lady starting to swing for seeing excuse me but in swing hansung she's coming to bat because let me tell you something in the last two years the Huskies are scored touchdowns not field goals 80% of the time of the red zone rock yard to throw the football fades quick fast he wants I'd love to see the University of Florida play Washington then there would be no field goals all touchdowns singing Swain everything there are the Huskies they realize it making mistakes they're not going to do that on office Nebraska is going to come after Washington with a great deal of pressure putting a lot of blitzes and everything they can up on the front because of Rock yards ability they need the pressure Washington in the hopes of stopping the running game and getting to that quarterback Bradshaw Jason Peter needs to step up today Nebraska has only three sacks on the year but four very strong but will they be able to bring the pressure on to brock iord I think in the first two games Nebraska's look very vanilla with their defensive schemes today forget it they bring everything in hopes it's trying to slow down this offense and if it's kicking game the Huskers have the best winner and kicker in school history Tony Barnhart rejoins us you've been at u-dub man you have the number one back in May it's not going to make you popular here but what do you think well I'll tell you what Kirk says about Scott frost makes me all warm and fuzzy this is a money game folks and my question is can Scott frost step up when the money's on the line and play with the big boys I don't think so look Nebraska they're gonna have trouble with a running game Washington will control the Nebraska running game they won't stop it but they will control it and Scott frost is not good enough to win this game with his arm Curt I tell you Washington wins and it may not be close my lad what time not so fast by braska wins this football game for three
