everyone I'm Steve Martin along with former Princeton and Connecticut coach Bob Cousy olla involved another great American football tilt this afternoon with West Virginia taking on of course Maryland we talked about major hair as being such a controlling factor for the West Virginia offense but you know when you're a good quarterback there are a lot of things that go into that equation and one of those is a very good West Virginia offensive long an excellent offensive line not only experience but big and the tackles and Phillips and Snyder are fine run blockers as well as pass Pro blockers and inside they have John stroy yep Bob Kovac and of course Koch in its center they're all experienced they're big and that's the test today in the Maryland defense particularly their downline the linebackers handle this offensive line if they can it could be a long day for no Maryland lost a lot of people because of graduation especially at the skilled positions but they don't have the cupboard there because Neal O'Donnell is their quarterback and he brings a lot to their offense be sure to the sixth or s you see 63 degrees we'll have light rain to continue throughout the afternoon they're expecting a papering off a little bit later on but still with the relative humidity high and all the rain that we've had and it's going to be some wet conditions as you look at Joe Creve ACK it is second season at Maryland he spent a lot of years as an assistant coach in the system at Maryland he was there five years he's been an assistant for 18 years in other places and Don Nehlen and his staff approaching the sideline Don's had a great career here at the wet at West Virginia University right now 60 35 and one the winningest coach in west virginia university football history Marilyn has run the toss and they have decided to defer their option to the second half West Virginia will take the offensive side of the field first and we'll get our first look at Charlie Bauman to do the kicking honors of course for West Virginia University and we expect Mike Beasley and Brynn Lowery to be back deep of course for the University of Maryland Maryland opening up with a win over Louisville they're a team Bob that is very multiple as far as their office is concerned they like to throw to their backs they sure do they like to drove on the backs and let those back get the the five picking up the ball hazard and Smith he stops the West Virginia drive inside the 10-yard line the second turnover of the day for West Virginia it looked like he had a touchdown he just dropped the ball on the ground watched this block watch the center coking working on the nose man police there's the block and turns them wide open he gets hit right there and coming across from the their experience and their size is a factor their speed and they really came home here in this Drive and the one before when they fumbled as you watch the extra point and it's good back in the ball game Charlie Bauman it's the field goal the point after touchdown let's take a look at it again but watch this line come off the ball just turn people down fullback leads up and Johnson under Johnson
