1974 Ford Pinto Wagon - Budget Built, Pump Gas, Street Driven Bruiser

[Music] [Music] this is Mark Hill burrs 1974 Ford Pinto it is equipped with a small-block for with a c4 automatic transmission and can regularly be spotted on the SoCal drag strips and clocks plenty of street miles on his hometown high desert roads or a mile to the time form it has a Ford nine-inch hanging from a Cal track set up with disc brakes on all four corners not that this car was built to stop mark has owned this car a long time originally purchased in 1981 still equipped with its original four popper it then sat from 1998 to 2011 as non-functional but highly decorative yard arts fast forward to 2018 and this thing is now motivated with a 347 cubic inch all forged internal small-block Ford [Music] [Music] [Music] with the solar water camp Jr heads and manopause and a put fuel carburetor this thing puts down six horsepower shy of 400 horsepower to the wheels and it does it with pump gas now let's see what this angry little beast can do on the strip this car has seen plenty of eighth-mile action at her window and quarter-mile passes at the Auto Club driveway in Fontana as of this video it is clocked a best-of-seven 23 at 96 miles an hour in the eighth and has a best of 11 48 at 119 in the quarter we are certain this car has some left in it it's certainly to go a little quicker if Mark would lose a few pounds [Music]
