[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] as we started loading up these old cars onto the trailer it doesn't look like there's a whole lot of Hope left into them this front car here it still has a motor and transmission in it supposedly it was running some time back so we thought it'd be kind of cool to dig into it see if we can't maybe get it to run and drive itself off the trailer just you want to see if you can find a latch or something in there I got it oh we got a treasure here yeah this is one of those it looks like there should be no reason why it should run but maybe something living in there hopefully it'll hopefully it'll run something will run out of it we can get this hood off of it grab a vacuum cleaner or something on a water hose and start hammer dig it out if I'm more worried about snake or spider got a bomb there yeah makes you wonder what was eating something that big yeah and this will it run episode might be refined oh yeah it's kind of crazy but most time these ones that look so bad will actually crank up at home you ain't got nothing to lose on it if it don't it's still what it was probably but grab that shot back and just kind of start sucking away some of that stuff and see what's underneath some of this top layer there's two holes I like dens it looks like one's a pretty good size another it's not so big but either way if it comes running out and ain't ready I'm ready [Music] [Music] packed in too tight we'll have to dig it out start to see a motor the glory stuff a turn and rust that most people don't get to see baddies I love it I don't thank you some of our houses [Applause] sort of yeah and all round that stalled it we will it's hot now their starter it called your house and take you around it [Music] want to hook a battery on it and see if we can save this for the tunnel gonna Haven turn over say the cables are up front here so we can go grab a battery in the hot battery to it and see if I can jump across the cylinder head and make sure it's not locked out yeah we haven't got this engine compartment fully cleaned out yet how we've really just put a small dent into it but we can see a little bit more of the motor now the starter is visible so what we're going to do is just run a wire to the battery off the starter will jump the starter solenoid across we just kind of want to see if this motor is going to turn over or not or maybe if it's locked up if it's locked up we'll pull the plug see if maybe it'll turn over a little lazier with the plugs out of it but right now we just want to kind of see what we got on that point before we dig into this thing any further and sparks are we out of gear no it should be when it loaded up it was I don't know - do I always smoke yeah in size just like the inking Department I'm just going to try to jump it across right here at the starter something spinning but I don't yeah I think that the belt maybe I think the cranks turning but something's in between the belt there so it is turning over let's dig all this stuff out a little bit more so there might be a big oh something or another that's humming in between a pulley or something big spider or a possum so we are at least turning over a little bit on this thing the first trial I did the best and then it kind of stopped so we're hoping maybe something got in here and lodged in in place somewhere worst case scenario though we'll put a wrench down here on the crank and just work it back and forth but it's a good sign that it did turn it a deletes just a little bit yeah it's right right here you check it no I didn't check it it had one joke around and anyone fall in the hole good dark Texas ol Texas to go inside yeah I see the crank turning it's just the belts not maybe like the water could be pretty sure the water pumps froze up on it you pull it out for this and I can't Cuddy try it again it is a char bag or do you want to pull the plugs alright so I think got as near as much compression like a fight okay ratchet sir is it working yeah figure out it's an hour do I have to anyways yeah and hurry up we're gonna take to the drag strip let's put something down in them cylinders or Lube it up a little bit well they finally broke free and it's turning over pretty good after we pulled the plugs out of it now we're going to put a little ol little lubricant down in these cylinders just so it's not running dry until it can pump the wool around in that motor but it's good now that it's not froze up we'll obviously have to figure out the firing order on this thing the rats or something to bait up all these wires on it make sure that the points are getting a little spark figure out this carburetor hopefully there's not too many acorns and trashing it and maybe we can get this thing to bust off hey some more wd-40 oh yeah try to see if we can get some fire two points get some pliers and we'll run this wire to the negative and the other one just run a jumper wire to the battery on the other one the points are pretty corroded up here so I'll have to take some sandpaper or something and clean them up right there in that area where they touch to make them spark and ignite they say didn't chew the radical and at the point some of the important stuff do we have any of those little clips where I could just clip it rather than it's just wire just things to be just dropping that to the back here is that one long enough but you've only just better side clip it on here and here it's a matter for a while already got me and clip don't hurt someone cut it shorter without that aid that for that's an ugly client alligator clip so I try to just turn them I bet I have to clean the points a little more well try it we have to just get you better screwdriver and I just need something to hold it and then I'll tie it back get a little sport now I guess we need to find some wires figure out the fire and order and if you want to pull that off I'll find some buyers we can maybe use for now so we need a cold wire and for spark plug wires huh yep I'll go ahead and clean these plugs on the carburetor yeah stop yep I mean the check that works but I can't get the throttle focus [Music] and some plug wires unless say if it'll turn over with the plug those bags we were so close we were getting fire and everything yeah I mean it was a matter of putting the plugs back in and sparkplug wires we pouring some gas in it but it won't turn over with spark plugs out it definitely ain't gonna turn over with him for the world I just wanted was guys were grounded to that the body instead the motor which that's where that ground was but it's about to get dark next 30 minutes there's crazy it was turning over just fine put the plugs in and try it why are you yeah let's put some all inside you're still turning yes doctor maybe it broke loose yeah put some hole and I've got this all here last night I don't know 14 it's that for cycle anything's better than nothing but I mean if it cranks up and runs we can change the oil I thought it was that all that you know let me go put all of it in there oh you would yeah [Music] nothing's working borders hot yeah after a few hours of tinkering with this thing yesterday we started running out of daylight didn't seem like we were making a whole lot of headway we got the motor turning over a little bit but then it would just seem like it went to lock back up again not sure what's going on there we just decided we're going to walk away from it not quite as long as a previous owner did but we pull the plugs back out put a little fluid in the cylinders let it set overnight so now we're just going to try to work it back and forth with the break over bar hopefully we can get it past that hard point and get it where it's turning over good night maybe if we pull that valve cover off make sure there's not a valve it's on or something that's not we can see if there's something that's got to be some reason why still that tough on turning over don't look too hard pull that off and just make sure that everything's working in there it may be dry there may not be any old up there too it's like about a 10 I'll go grab a 10 real quick if I can find a 10 look for an end [Music] yeah they got lucky I didn't have one on the back oh yeah just you want to try to turn it over again I'll make sure all these valves and lifters and I don't get too bad hey melon women yet I said time to change it's actually cleaner up in here than what I was expecting yes I'm saying all the cylinders no that's her forever cylinder except this yeah it's it's not as hard as that when I hit that hard spot I mean normally it's just a dance style gonna be worth trying to hook the battery up to its I think so it doesn't look like it's hanging up as much as wise that we wore the trial yeah I'm gonna grab a battery real quick straight off the torture so it should be plenty plenty of hot for yeah definitely getting old up there don't think it was trying to over quick enough to get that all up there like it needed to but there was definitely something that was keeping it to want to get tired every so often [Music] well now coming back home leader we won't try to crank it with it off yeah I think it's turning over Jason enough [Music] I gotta be careful my last I'll see how my clothes get so dirty she thinks I work hard I just use my shirt for a just gotta learn how to work what it looks like you're working that you know might take a little while for that old oil and the cylinders we put in there to kind of burn out though if it's I guess I'll go ahead and probably pull this distributor cap back off and make sure we are still getting fire at the points [Applause] yes no down right but you never have to have it back off again yep should be good enough to make it those trying to do something give it a go that's not a smart boy these wires hanging the greatest shape what I can find I guess well was it expecting that I guess give it a little bit more my face where's that old well I have to say I didn't I didn't expect if that was or didn't know if that was going to happen or not love that burger try it again let's try it with a little bit more maybe if you can poke a hole or something in there sparked it in when we put all that all in the cylinders overnight just to let it set of what it would do is just kind of break away any rust or any grime in there kind of give it a little lubrication because this thing's been sitting for just years it seemed to help it seemed to work but now we've got all the smoke coming out of it because that spark plugs burning that all off and it's liable to smoke pretty good until we can get all that ole Elvis two cylinders burn out but we're just going to keep adding a little fuel to it hopefully hook up our our little gas tank and maybe this thing will run and idle and move off the trailer like we planned gasping keep up are you thinking just I think the gas wouldn't keep it up enough in a while but it's just barely gonna rise or boy yeah something like that or some pliers or something or at least you'd go get something well on it get it off this off I have to hit that with that float with me too very much gas in there as always over we're trying to get this thing to run and as long as we're pouring a little gas into the top of the carburetor it will run off that gas and then die what we needed to do is to fill the bottle up on the carburetor and actually pump it through the thing so what we're going to try to do is just tear the top end of the carburetor off where we can get to the flow it's probably stuck on there won't allow the fuel to fill it up so hopefully we can get to it from the top of this get it cleaned up and that'll allow that fuel to go in there we could run it off our gas tank here was that choke what was holding it the last time yeah leaves that's pretty rough doing a good job of starting it up get your strong Wesley and just get the shot back suck it out or rag the red ahead little bear all the good is it lost it and it'll squeeze that back to a gas can we even have any car cleaner no wonder my no feel was gonna run that air house out here try to blow through it I didn't blow through that little pump there [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] I did a little better yeah sucking too much air somewhere on that backhand well maybe that there at one of those carburetors not timed all the way up over either well that's the longest it's ran since we messed with this thing you got to have the choke fully fully closed for it to stay running though so it's it's probably getting too much air somewhere it probably has a vacuum hose that's rotted away or something so it's sucking air there so we got to restrict there at the choke so we're just trying to look around to see dad found a bolt over there with a carburetor at the base of it is loose so it could be sucking a little bit of air there there's a couple heads who we found a couple different hoses over there that different spots it could be sucking air as well it's just our Waterhouse's not always pull it off on its like get it out away our sire cold trotty aunt or thanks huh [Music] [Music] I always expect a flame to come up that noise that shouldn't be hurting therefore that huh I think we're probably just gonna have to Jimmy that choke just right and I think we can get her to move off the trailer for us maybe a second - let's do that let's see if we can get some air in these tires we obviously don't need to run it too long anyways without that radiator it comes down to it we can always throw it back on there we don't have a water pump but we can at least feel it block up with some water yeah up it a little bit see if we can get some air in these old tires that don't look like they should ever hold air and then the motor that looked like it should never run so tagging it yeah didn't want to it fires but now in here you ain't gonna hold it long though this one's not gonna hold there say that back ones for sure you're not gonna hold anything that's good let's try this one just for the fun of it just because it real how does that happen let's say so most of these tires ended up holding a little bit of error we've got one on the back passenger side that's leaked down just a little bit on us but it's going to be more than able to be able to get it off the trailer we've moved it away from the shop there's no brakes on this car right now and know that but we're hoping that we can unstrap this same crank it up and unload it under its own power [Music] [Music] well we probably shouldn't have tried it in this whole thing but she's actually running and driving under her own power this car has been sitting for around 30-something years I believe and I had to say we had nothing to lose on this whole thing I never expected it to run I mean it had just piles of animal stuff just all on top of it we dug all that out found the motor got it running got it moving maybe somebody else see a little potential on this thing and I can pass it on to them [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
