1960 Dodge Matador HD

you know I bar I love all your cars but this is the one I came to see I have never seen one of these before this is a 60 matador right dodge madness this is the only one on earth at least in this color I believe so how many either in general there can't be many who knows maybe 20-30 I don't know unbelievable car this has got so many design elements but for me this car happens all happens right here where the roof comes down this fin takes off goes back to the thruster it is art and the us Astro window and there's a huge window everything works and it is art it's again Virgil Exner who was a genius you know I think I'd rather have this than something hanging on the wall at home absolutely absolutely this fin though I don't think I've ever seen on any car and is that that's an actual light that night yes it's a tail light like the round one there then they'd have the these were an option and this car had this option unbelievable kinda how did you come by this one well a friend of mine called and said that he had one he had found one and if I wanted to buy it and I said fine I'll be there tomorrow and I bought it and it was in pretty well good shape but dusty dirty hadn't been driven in 18 years because the fellow was an older fellow who thought he could get the car started himself and they had turned the distributor 180 degrees yeah wouldn't start so he quit trying and he just left it in his garage for 18 years and just didn't take it to anybody you know by golly he's not gonna if he can't fix it it's not gonna get that's right and that's why the car had 49,000 miles under when I bought it that's it and so with the interior of been original its original why some of the great Mopar fabric patterns oh yes yes just the door panels or panels an amazing design I think and very durable they hold up very well and they're original and they were original phenomenal absolutely powering this would be a 361 v8 very nice yes there's the air conditioning unit that the the factory sent it to the dealership it still has the factory numbers both on the brackets yes beautiful car now even something this rare you take out and drive yeah but once a month I'd like to take them out so they all need exercise I need exercise could you be coerced into taking it out today Oh probably could you recourse and let me drive it Oh Dennis you're going best night you convinced me I'll take a chance on you oh yeah like that just like a Mopar and woof so what a fine that mean to find one complete and one owner and lust free because I can't imagine you could find parts for this car trim parts and things no no it's it's it's almost possible it's like I said they're made out of unobtainium and you know I was truly a blessed you gotta be I mean I'd rather be lucky than smart any day this case that was very lucky they really built this car to last night I think so and it drives like a dream it's beautiful it drives like a new car but it does I love that the speedometer I mean it's that's sunlight coming through there yes yes and this moonlight comes through there at night when having the beers kind of mounted a little bit forward is a little tough to get used to but they really do work and they look so cool till they cool they're cool looking I mean that's a these mirrors were the upscale mirrors the visibility is phenomenal you know the whole world what are you having it there to where you can see everything out of there are no rough it's clear now the push buttons on a Mopar did they actually mechanically select the gears yes they're there on K they're little cables like follow the push button pushes the cable forward and then it engages that speed in the transmission so that's why they don't fail like some other house buttons they do not they're failsafe this is one you're probably going to hold on to for a long one you know I would pay for evolution with this old design I could hold on too long even longer 5r what a car you have excellent taste where you have excellent cars only one I've ever seen certainly the only one I've ever driven five or thank you so much pleasure is my hope to come back sometime to see some of your other car
