1957 Chevrolet Chevy Corvette Fuel Injection in Red & Engine Sound - My Car Story with Lou Costabile

hi I'm Lou with another episode of my car story we're here at the collector's car garage and risin thrive on Sunday morning come on out you want to see some great cars we really lose some great cars I'm here with Harold Harold winter last night Santa Maria Santa Maria and Harold has brought a great car I'm gonna grab the cameras I usually do Harold you brought a couple of cars let's talk about one that what is the car that you brought here today well the car that's right behind us is a 1957 Chevy Corvette and it's a fuel injection feel injected so where does this car come from so we give a shout out oh this comes from the Chicago visit water collection and you brought this one out just to show people what it looks like beautiful come on right alongside me and let's not take any time and look at our featured attraction beautiful styling the single headlights I always enjoyed those with the beautiful curves on the fenders and the curves in here just absolutely spectacular and this one is really well done I mean it is it looks like it's literally right off the showroom floor and we've got a wonderful turn sigmoids I just want to show that that way that all features out kind of teeth like grill from a shark let's take a look at this car from the side so Harold hello do you know how long this one's been in the collection I'm not sure how long this is this has been in the collection but I think this has been in our cars your points in time now just looks spectacular the all-important the fact that it's a 57 Corvette with the only important fuel injection makes it even that much more unique and rare the racing flag the Corvette as you could see the spinners there and this one is just so well done look at the venting wonderful curved glass I like to almost call it the jewelry on your car here again Chevrolet Corvette the antenna the wonderful taillights the badging of the trunk it says fuel injection although this car is orange it I think they call this color Roman red and if I'm incorrect someone will be more than I'll be more than happy to hear their thoughts on the color of this car I love the way the bumpers are separated here and the exhaust coming right through the center taillights somewhat hidden and yet reflect off the mirror let's take a look at the interior shall we yes convenient fuel I just want to show that angle of that door to how it curves in that way is unique to the car the door opens here is this the black Lachman is a block mechanism that would be the wonderful metal down here how you kind of enter into the car the Chevrolet badging those cars a four-speed with latch parking brake we've got one lights here turn signal stock Paul for the defrost than the wonderful gage kind of interesting how they put the tack in the center of the car so if you're looking out the dashboard it looks like that at the speedometer the mirror that sits on the dash therefore the roadster feel a wunderbar your battery oil clock your selector therefore the radio as well the volume on this side with your speaker what's fantastic it's open good job and there's our fuel-injected system like so you know important imagine there breathe their system there a Herald you've had the chance to enjoy some of these cars so when you're riding over in a car like this what's what's the reaction of people oh the reaction is wonderful everyone just nods her head and says wonderful wonderful car beautiful car and they're happy to see it on the road just a few thumbs-up right yes yes no doubt this is actually a functional vent for the car here let me get to the other side and before I forget I I may have done this already but I mean zone into that the camera catch up there we go wonderful badging letter the battery here the Corvette there the injection system here this metal here is for the radio so it doesn't pick up some of the static guard I guess you'd call it it was a radio delete car this should be missing and then your oil Harold let's take just a moment we're obviously indoors let's start her up for a second we'll get a little exhaust and then we'll get a little exhausted solo room shut it down that was good that was good that was good come on the 57 Chevy Corvette fuel injected Harold wonderful car thanks to the Chicago vintage share with me in Chicago Chicago vintage motor carriage thank you so much for having this car come on out we really appreciate seeing it here and more importantly on the road as you say did I agree with the order of myself thanks for being on my car story thank you appreciate it
