$1600/Month Condo Tour - Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico

foreign California Mexico come on in and we'll show you around our humble abode [Music] first things first we'll just start with where the house starts this is our first bathroom walk-in shower glass doors there's even a fan and events in here you can see very bright lots of colors very airy I hate to show you this room but it's real life we hardly used this room it's our second bedroom with a set of bunk beds mostly got used for storage right now it's especially messy because we're actually getting ready to move out next door down the hallway is our washer and dryer ensuite after all the years of living in Vans and RVs this has been wonderful then we have our beautiful Bolero I guess you call it I don't know pretty inlay with lights we store our stuff there for the doorway then we have our kitchen lots of modern appliances big uh refrigerator microwave oven and stove top dishwasher a nice big two sinks lots of water pressure hot water on demand again if you're living in a van things you've quit taking for granted but this is not drinkable water so just like in our van we have a water bottle with a spout on it one thing about the condos here at Del Mar there are three Styles the traditional Mexican style that you see we have we've seen one other style which is a very modern style and then the third style is a mystery moving into our living room nice big space another ceiling fan plenty of places to sit you will notice we have two televisions the big one that came with the house and the little one that's ours the TVs are really cheap these days and we picked up one for a different place we were living this one had the capacity to have AirPlay and all of our apps are loaded on it so we stuck it up here and use it too a big important thing for us we're comfortable places to sit so you actually see four recliners here so this is my favorite workstation you can see I've got my little table and my computer and everything Ben splits his time between the seat next to me and the kitchen table dining room table where he tends to come when he's uploading videos and watching videos before he publishes them occasionally we eat dinner here too hello from the future it's a warm bright day here in San Diego we've moved out of the condo and transitioning towards a new adventure and I wanted to give a shout out to you could tell for sending us their p1201 portable power station you could tell is a global brand and they're also known for smartphones but this power station the p1201 is a 1200 watt unit with 960 Watt hours it's capable of over 3 500 charge cycles and there's inputs so you can charge it in your house or from solar panels it also has UPS uninterrupted power supply and that is a great feature if you are going on holiday and if you're in an area that has power outages you can plug your refrigerator into it so if anything happens it depending on the size of your power station you can run your refrigerator for hours I also think this is great because the first place we stayed at in Baja it was a rough winter and we're dealing with power outages and just because the power's out does not mean that the internet is dead so we really could have used something like this to power the modem in our unit so we could keep working which is critical for digital Nomads the p1201 also has very nice handles and is lightweight and easy to carry we are really excited to have this power station for our Forerunner because we have a 12 volt refrigerator which needs electricity and when the engine is not on or the ignition's not on there is no power to the 12 volt Outlet behind me so this will allow us to go off grid and plug into the power station thank you to yucatel for sending us this wonderful accessory now back to the condo in Mexico so here's the main entrance to our master bedroom but we will take the other entrance through the slider door which is a little stiff this Salt Air is brutal on things but coming out here we since we're on our moving out phase we had some of our camp chairs out in this area Lucy had a nice little green pee pad that she actually more used as a relaxation place she never really peed on it and it's just some odds and ends Furniture I keep my fishing booties there and well hey wait we got a view here yeah check out this View over 10 stories up and let's talk about noise real quick that's a construction site of a new hotel going in occasionally we'll hear some jack hammering or like the excavator working got a nice view of the grounds below and then occasionally on Saturday nights there's a party venue right down there and if you know Mexico Mexicans today love to play music loud and late so we've come to accept that over the years it doesn't bother us too much at all [Music] and then the slider door into our bedroom very comfortable this is our blanket not theirs we've just accumulated a lot of things in this Airbnb stage of life because you get someplace and it has something but doesn't have something you just accrue a lot so I sleep on this side yes I got a bar stool as an end table I store some clothes there Beck actually thought of this idea about six or eight months ago for watching movies at night in bed the tripod no it's not no pole dances on the tripod and back side of the bed oh I guess that just knocked and reminded me that she has a walk-in closet that has a dresser thing here a few of my things are in here recognize this Plano pack from Denny it goes everywhere with us has like Q-tips flossers everything that you need on a daily basis the bathroom has a very nice Spanish Mexican look the rock or brick yeah I think they might actually be real but it looks really neat we rarely use this the bathtub it looks like it might be big but it's actually with the slope it is not very big at all so you end up like knees up in you if you try to sit in it uh yes I have fishing reels there after cleaning them there's a wall of closets here and I have a couple clothes in there and a fishing rod that won't stay up and then I have some clothes there and just odds and ends in the drawers where else too I think that is just about all for the inside tour of our condo hello we are Ben Rebecca and Lucy a digital Nomad family from Alaska sometimes we're home sometimes we're exploring Europe in our camper van Denny and sometimes we take a break from the road at airbnbs in unique locations this lifestyle is anything but ordinary but in the end we feel life is meant to be live let's go for a walk give me one give me the other oh papa dropped it all right underlying place now let's take a tour of the common areas at La Jolla Del Mar sit good girl and this is Lucy's favorite spot to go potty it's a popular spot amongst all the dog owners here good girl [Music] here's where we are parked [Music] and right here we have one of many pool a jacuzzi and a kids wading pool and this one is not necessarily heated as much as the one closer to the water oh gotta pee here too huh all right let's go [Music] and here's another pool and jacuzzi overlooking the water and they call those Vias over there two-story condos on the water come down here Lucy does not like the grate okay into the exercise room and hopefully nobody's in here so I can all right it's completely empty I have thoroughly enjoyed using the exercise room while we are here for these three months okay let's go loose now heading Northbound okay on the far north end of the Waterfront area here there's a picnic area and you can see the two neighboring La Jolla real and down there is going to be the La Jolla Excellence new communities being built and a nice jacuzzi right over here [Music] it's locked well this is the clubhouse and technically a lot of this stuff opens up at 10 o'clock but there's a barbecue area and a sink and stumbled upon a wife my wife let's see if any of these doors are open thank you okay real quick this is the clubhouse got a TV there bar it's like a some type of a table for gambling those look like a good poker table or anything table foosball yards some other little shuffleboard looking sport that I don't know the name of and a ping pong table we actually have not utilized this space much I don't know why but just hasn't quite been our thing right the water is right here The Tide Is Out fairly far right now you get another view of our twin towers that we're in and then here's the third or the middle jacuzzi that is right on the water it's a little bit bigger and here's a children's wading pool the lap pool has been nice and it is heated to a very very comfortable temperature and here's the southernmost jacuzzi with a wonderful view it's the jacuzzi we tend to go to more often Lucy does well she sits in her bag over there and nobody bothers her a nice picnic table overlooking the water and a gate down to the beach with a shower for the pool or cleaning off after you get done at the beach this has definitely proven to be our favorite part of the property as extremely well maintained cleaned every single morning and then it opens at 10 closes at 10 so you have plenty of time to use it every day come down and swim and then spend a little time in the jacuzzi and enjoy this amazing view right on the water and here is our Beach amazingly enough when we arrived three months ago this beach was all rocks and uh the winter storms had completely washed away all the sand but surprisingly quick so much of it has returned so I think that is a wrap for a tour of the condo it's big compared to uh our camper van but everybody always wants to know the price well we are paying sixteen hundred dollars a month and utilities which give or take are around 60 to 100 a month so under Seventeen hundred dollars we're living on the beach at darn near Resort the only thing that doesn't make it a resort would be restaurants but there's four to five restaurants all within walking distance so you do have a lot at your fingertips we have had a couple realizations as nice as this place may be I don't think we're ready to just at this point in life sit back and stare at the ocean all day long as nice as it was you know it's very easy here no finding a place to park no emptying the toilet no finding water no trying to get rid of trash no wrong turns it's easy and it's almost too easy that's a wrap for the tour of our Crib in
