design just loving this moment can't always stay here forever hey there crafty friends my name is Misty welcome to gleespin designs today I have put together 16 of my favorite Farmhouse DIYs that I've done it that you have got to try in 2023 so let's get Crafting for this DIY I used two of the Dollar Tree canvases I believe this is the 8x10 size it really doesn't matter on the size it just depends on how big you would like your trade to be using one of the Dollar Tree rollerblades and you guys I love these rollerblades from Dollar Tree they come in handy so so much so definitely grab one of these up if you see them use the rollerblade and go along the Staples all the way around the frame then just remove the canvas from the frame foreign you will do this to both of the canvases removing the canvas just leaving the frame then I take my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and I go through with a heavy dry brushing technique covering the frame but leaving a little bit of the original color peeking through and again you will do this to both of the canvas frames [Music] once you have both of the canvas frames painted I'm going to use some beads that I got off of Amazon I will have them linked Down Below in the description box they actually come with six different sizes and for a great price using some apple Barrel paint and some water I just make a faux stain and I'm going to add some of these beads into a bag this is how I paint or stain my beads if I'm doing a lot of them and I just place it right in a bag and pour the stain or the paint right in the bag with them doing a little bit at a time you always want to do just a little bit and add more if you need to simply move the beads around inside the bag until they're completely covered then you can just pour them out on a paper towel or whatever you would like and look how gorgeous those stained beads are the reason why I stained these beads is because I want them to match the color of the canvas frame that's peeking through my white chalk paint so I just Again mix up those beads right into that faux stain and I love how they turned out you could let them dry overnight or just do what I did and use a heat gun or even a hair blow dryer to have them dry within just a few minutes you want to make sure the beads are completely dry before you start gluing them to the frame I just used my hot glue gun because I do have the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks in my glue gun and those glue sticks work absolutely amazing you guys have probably heard me talk about them before I will have them linked Down Below in the description box you could use E6000 or even wood glue if you would like but for me this works perfect glue enough wood beads to go completely around the canvas frame and you want to make sure the holes are vertical so that you don't see them when you place the second frame on top now that I have my wood beads going completely around the canvas frame I'm going in with a white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and a chibi brush and just doing a heavy dry brushing over all of the wood beads going completely around the canvas again just covering them enough to where they are covered but a little bit of that color shows through that we stained next I just use my hot glue gun again and I add some hot glue going on all of the little wood beads so that I can place the second canvas on top when adding the second canvas on top of the wood beads you want to make sure that you press down on both of the sides in the center to make sure that the wood beads and the canvas frame touch and adhere together [Music] for the bottom of the tray I'm going to be using these jumbo craft sticks you can get at Walmart or there is also some on Amazon I will have a link for those down below line up enough of the craft sticks to cover the bottom of the tray and then just Trace out those sides that are hanging over so you can cut them down and then you will have perfect pieces to cover the bottom of the tray these jumbo craft sticks really do cut very easily with just a simple pair of scissors and you want to make sure when you cut them you cut them all at the same length [Music] using the same faux stain that I made earlier for the wood beads I'm going to just go ahead and stain all of these wood pieces as well and all you have to do is just paint it right on you guys know I love this stain technique it literally dries within just a few minutes no icky smells and you can make really any color you would like if you want purple stain just add some purple paint to some water and you have a purple stain once they are all stand and dry I take another chippy brush and that white australium chalk paint again and I just do another heavy dry brushing on all of those wood pieces as well once all of those pieces are stained painted and dry you're going to flip your canvas around and start hot gluing those pieces right to the bottom of the canvas to make your bottom to your tray like I said you could do this tray two different ways so here's how the first way turned out I think this is just so pretty and I had to show this tray both ways because I could not figure out which way I liked better whether it was sitting or whether it was raised so here is the unraised tray and I think it came out so cute but if you would like your tray raised it is super super simple just take a glass candle holder from Dollar Tree paint it white and then just hot glue it right to the bottom of your tray if you're going to use your tray raised I suggest painting the bottom of the tray as well and here's how this adorable raised tray turned out I absolutely adore the way this tray turned out and I love that you can make it two different ways and both ways turn out gorgeous and like I said you could make them actually several different sizes as well just depending on the canvas size that you use you will need one of these galvanized houses from the Dollar Tree that have a hole in the center using another piece of the Frog tape I place it as close as I can down to the bottom by the wood stand covering up the metal house so that I can paint the bottom part where that wood is with my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint I want to create more of a roof on this house so I'm going to use these bamboo sticks you guys have probably seen me use many times on my channel they come so in handy again they are on my Amazon store and I will definitely have a link down in the description box I painted a few of those bamboo sticks with my black chalk paint then you could also remove the painters tape down at the bottom once the bottom of your house is dry and then I'm going to take those black bamboo sticks and I'm going to place it up at the top where the roof is and just use my pencil to kind of Mark where I need to cut the bamboo stick foreign [Music] the first piece I hold it in place making sure that it is the size I need and then I just use the bamboo stick and place it on the other side and mark down that side as well so I can cut it down and once those are cut you can go ahead and just hot glue them right into place at the top of the house forming the roof for the hole that's in the center of the house I'm going to be using these wood planks from the Dollar Tree they come in a pack of six again these are another thing that come in handy so so much and I just used a box cutter and cut it down to the size I needed and painted it with my white chalk paint so like I said in the description box and in the title No Cricket no chocolate tour these are not chocolate or I promise these are literally a fraction of the price of chocolate ore and better yet these are even on Amazon and I will have a link down below for these and you pretty much get all of these for the price of one chocolate or transfer so this is an amazing deal and they work just as good as chocolate I'm going to be using these little farm animals and I'm going to be using the chicken and as you can see there's the brand it is the paints transfer and that's paints with an S so that is the brand if you would like to check them out on Amazon and again I will have a link Down Below in the description box for you to do so so I just take my scissors and cut off the little chicken and you can cut these down if you'd like you can see like the little Parts lines where you can cut so you could use them as one or cut them down if you would like as well so then I just take my chalk paste again you can also use chalk paint and I just fill in the transfer and look how stinking cute that chicken turned out then I just use my hot glue gun add some hot glue going around that circle on the back of the house and then just place your little chicken right in the center at Dollar Tree they carry several different items with this little wreath on them and whenever I do a DIY with something like this on it I always save it if I'm not using it for another project and these little wreaths come off super super easy so you definitely want to save something like that if you come across it using that little wreath and some Dollar Tree pit berries I believe these ones came out in the fall but they do still have them in stores and I we are actually on the 2nd of may now so they do still have them out and I just take it and simply wrap it around the wreath kind of trying to make sure I have those little berries facing forward foreign I simply just use my hot glue gun add some hot glue right to the wreath and then place it onto the house so that the chicken is in the center [Music] here I am looking at the house thinking that of course it needs something extra so I take a craft stick and paint it black with my black chalk paint and once I have it painted black I do cut off the top and I'm trying to kind of create a chimney so once I cut that top part off I do add another little bit of black chalk paint so that you can't see the wood from where I cut it and then just simply cut it down and hot glue it to the back of your house and then of course I thought the wreath needed a little extra something so I take some of the Dollar Tree twine this is obviously the black and white twine this is one of their new twines that they have out now we used it earlier again I love this twine and all I'm going to do is just wrap it around a few of my fingers the farther apart you make your fingers again the bigger your bow will be just like a tassel so I'm just doing a really small little bow I guess you could say and after I have it wrapped a few times I take another piece of twine and just tie it in the center creating that bow I make sure that the piece that I'm tying in the center is long enough that when I cut it I can use those little pieces as the tails to the bow and now you have a cute and simple twine bow then all you have to do is just simply glue your bow right to your wreath and this DIY is done and here's how this super cute little house turned out I absolutely love doing simple little easy DIYs and this is one that turned out so cute and again like I said earlier it looks absolutely adorable on that tray and it would look just as adorable anywhere else in your home foreign [Music] for this DIY you will need some more of those Dollar Tree wood planks that we used in the previous DIY and all you're going to do is use a box knife to cut one of them in half and you will use two full ones as well so therefore you will have four pieces total too long and too short and I did take my sanding block and just go ahead and sand those smaller pieces making sure there is no Jagged or sharp edges then to go along with the rest of the other DIYs I use that white Rust-Oleum chalk paint again and I paint all four of those wood pieces and you want to make sure you get the ends in size as well once they are all painted and dry I use my glue gun and add a bit of glue onto one of the longer pieces and then attach one of the shorter pieces to the side I do the same exact thing on the other side of the long piece of wood and I just attach one of those shorter pieces right down there at the end then I place the second long piece on the other side of the short pieces creating a box for the bottom of the Box just like I did with the tray I'm going to be using these jumbo craft sticks again they can be found at Walmart or on Amazon I will have a link in the description box lay a few of the craft sticks down place the box right on top and then Trace out the sides so that you can cut them down again just like we did with the tray [Music] once they are all cut down I did use my hot glue gun and just hot glue them right to the bottom of the box [Music] once you have your box done you can go in with the white Rust-Oleum chalk paint just like you did on the outside and paint the inside of the box as well using the bamboo sticks that I got off of Amazon I told you guys these things come in handy so so much so I'm just going to take a few of those and paint them black with my black chalk paint [Music] thank you once the black bamboo sticks are dry I just take them and hold them up against the sides of the box so that I know where I need to cut them and I just mark it down with a pencil and I cut enough to do this to both sides of the box which will be eight pieces in total for longer and four shorter once they are all cut down you're just going to hot glue them to the side of your box creating a square [Music] and again you are going to do the exact same thing on the other side of the box as well to create the X in the center of the square on the side of the box I take the bamboo stick and I just place it down and Mark where I need to cut at those angles [Music] to make the other side of the X I want to make sure that it is centered so I place the first piece in without gluing it just so that I know that when I basically cut it it's going to be nice and even and where I need it to be for the second piece I did not want it to overlap so I just cut it down in the center so that it makes that X shape without overlapping foreign just kind of keep playing with your pieces and making sure that they fit before you glue them down and I did not like how after I cut them you could kind of see the wood from the normal pieces of bamboo stick showing so I did just kind of paint the ends with my black chalk paint and then all you have to do is glue all of those little pieces into place and then you will do the exact same thing on the other side of the box pour some detail on the front of the box I took some of the gold Dollar Tree thumbtacks and I placed them right into a little mini Django block or tumbling Tower block so that they didn't move and I just painted them with my black chalk paint I did try to just push them right into the wood and they did go in but they kind of poked through just a little bit on the other side and I didn't really like that so I take some of the Dollar Tree garden shears and I cut off like the nail part of the Thumbtack and then I just add some hot glue and place it onto the box that way I added one of the thumbtacks to each of the four corners on the box then using another new item from Dollar Tree which is these rub on transfers that are a farmhouse style I love these I think they're so cute that farm fresh flowers seeds stems blooms is so cute so all I did was cut it down to the size that I needed and then I'm just going to transfer it right to the front of my box when doing these rub-on transfers I think it is best to kind of peel them off as you go so that if you peel anything up you can just lay it right back down and then place it into place then all you have to do is add whatever type of florals or whatever you would like to put in your box and here's how this super cute DIY turned out [Music] thank you for this DIY you will need one of these really large new glass spaces from Dollar Tree and I do believe they are in the Mother's Day section so painting glass can kind of be a pain so I'm going to take some of my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and then I'm going to add some baking soda to it about a one to one Ratio or just a little bit less baking soda is kind of how I like it and then you want to mix it up completely until there is no lumps and this gives you a much better coverage and you will definitely notice if you've tried this technique and yes doing this technique will give you some texture but I want a lot of texture so I'm going to take some of this Dollar Tree sand and add some of that to the paint as well and really the amount of sand depends on what type of texture you want and how thick you would like it just like with the baking soda you're going to want to mix it up completely until there is no lumps and you have this absolutely gorgeous textured paint normally when I do the paint and baking soda technique without the sand it for texture I apply it with a sponge well you can't necessarily do that with this type of of mixture with a sand in it because the sand just kind of wants to stick into the sponge so I just kind of threw this one to the side and started slapping it right on the vase with my paintbrush and this worked absolutely perfect and it was really super satisfying to do as well [Music] when applying this to the base I made sure to cover the entire outside of the vase as well as the top and also a little bit down inside I didn't get the entire inside I just painted a few inches down inside once you have the vase fully covered let it dry completely and you will have this absolutely stunning and textured look I don't know about you guys but I absolutely love this textured look texture is super super trendy right now and this turned out absolutely perfect again you're going to want to make sure your base is completely dry before you move on to the next step which is just taking some painters tape this is actually I believe the Frog tape brand I will have it linked Down Below in the description box I prefer using this frog tape compared to the blue tape because I just feel like it sticks better to my projects and it also doesn't pull as much paint off of projects as the blue regular painters tape does as you could see I took some of that frog tape and I just placed it around the vase about a quarter of the way up and then I use that sponge that I tried to use earlier to sponge on some black chalk paint underneath that paint line and underneath that line where the painters tape is I want this to be pretty solid like I don't want really any of that white showing so just keep sponging on the black paint until that bottom part is completely covered then once you have that bottom part completely filled in you want to remove the Frog tape before the paint completely dries because you're going to take your little sponge and you're going to start dabbing again but you're going to kind of do it like a dry brushing technique but it's a dry sponging technique so you're just going to take your sponge and you're just going to do a little bit of black paint and I kind of used the paint that was already on the base that's why I did this before it dried so that I could just kind of use the wet paint and make kind of like an ombre faded effect I guess you could say and once it's dry it will look like this along with the many other great things that Dollar Tree is now carrying they also have different colors of their cotton twine and also in bigger rolls as well I used a black cotton twine and wear the vase in dents in that I wrapped that twine around a few times and then tie it into place I do make sure I leave nice long strands so that I can tie our beads and our tassels onto the base as well for the beads I will be using two beads from this Easter garland from Dollar Tree and I just cut the twine and took two beads off of it and painted them black with my black chalk paint for the tassels I'll be using another one of the new Dollar Tree twines and that is this white and black twine I love this I think it is so pretty and I was super excited when I found it to make the tassels spread your fingers apart and then wrap the twine around your fingers at least 10 to 15 times the size of the tassel depends on how far apart your fingers are spread or if you're wrapping your twine around something else it just depends on how big that is as well and you can make your tassel as big or as small as you would like and also the more you wrap the twine around your fingers the Fuller your tassel will be then just take another piece of that twine and place it through your fingers and tie it into a knot leaving a loop up at the top I make sure that my string I'm using to tie the tassel together is long enough to where I can wrap it around a few times after I tie it and then tie it again holding it into place then just cut off any of the excess pieces and on the end of the tassel where the long Loops are you're going to cut those Loops as well so that you can form your tassel then just cut all of the pieces so that they are nice and even and you have a really cute little tassel and you will need two of those tassels for this project and now all you have to do is add your beads and your tassel to your pieces of twine that are hanging onto your base I simply strung on the bead and then added my tassel now the reason why I wanted my strands to be so long is because I want my tassels and Beads to be different lengths so I'm going to have one being longer than the other so you're going to tie it and make sure when you tie it it's at the length that you want it to hang [Music] then just repeat the same steps for the other piece of twine on the base adding the bead and the tassel and here is a look at how this absolutely gorgeous textured vase turned out this face is probably one of my favorite vases that I've done in a long time I love the size of this vase and that texture is absolutely gorgeous and it not only does it look great all on its own but you can add many different florals and it would look beautiful as well for this DIY I started off with two of these wood rounds from Dollar Tree I do end up needing three of them so just go ahead and grab three all together but I did not realize that until the end so I'm just going to remove these cool hangers that I was telling you about earlier I feel like more and more of Dollar Tree items are actually getting this type of hanger instead of like just the knot hangers so which I'm cool with because you can reuse those as well so anyways I take some wood glue and hot glue and I'm going to add a bunch of it onto the wood round so that I can glue the two wood rounds together so that they are thicker once I have those two glued together nice and secure I'm going to fill in the holes using some of the Dollar Tree spackling and then I go ahead and sand it down so that it is nice and smooth I'm going to use these half wood beads that I got off of Amazon they come in at several different sizes I believe like six different sizes and they are a super good deal so I will leave a link down in the description box for these as well so all I'm going to do is start taking these half wood beads and you can use Dollar Tree wood bees and just cut them in half you guys they cut in half so easy I promise I was shocked I was literally shocked when I found out how easy those Dollar Tree any any beads from Dollar Tree really will cut in half so anyways I go ahead and I hot glue the half wood beads going all the way around the circle once I have the half wood beads going all the way around the wood round I'm going to use the faux stain technique to give this a really dark stain I used black chalk paint with some water and I just mixed that together and then brush it on just like you would a normal stain and then wipe it off once you have the wood round completely stained look how absolutely gorgeous this turns out I love this faux stain technique Dollar Tree is now carrying these really cute Farmhouse stencils and I did use the one with the chicken in my previous video and I'm also going to use it a little bit later on so I decided to go with this Farm Fresh stencil for this DIY I just placed a stencil where I thought the center was I suggest measuring because if you go too far over it will look a little bit wonky when you spin the turntable so I just took some painters tape and placed it onto the stencil so that it doesn't move or go anywhere and then I use my brush my little foam stencil brush I love these ones and I just go ahead and use my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint to fill in that complete stencil and once it's completely filled in you can peel off your stencil and you have this absolutely gorgeous crisp image like these stencils work so well these Farmhouse stencils and actually really any of the new stencils that I've used at Dollar Tree have came out so perfect but let me know what you guys think of the stencils from Dollar Tree especially the new ones down in the comments I would love to hear your guys opinions as well I want this to have a little bit more of a weathered Farmhouse look to it so I take my chippy brush and some white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and I do a dry brush going all along those half wood beads and then whatever paint is left in my paintbrush I also do a little bit of streaking on the inside of the wood round as well just to give it a little bit more detail and make it look a little bit more weathered as I had previously mentioned we are making a turntable and this is like going to be a turntable tray so I'm going to use this pencil holder from Dollar Tree this is what is going to make our tray spin because it has this little black spinny thing on the bottom that is super super easy to take off and it spins very very easily so all I do is take a little screwdriver and I just take that black piece right off and then you will no longer need that white piece all you will need is this black piece here it does have little pieces on the inside and you will also need this screw and here's where I realized it is definitely going to be it's like going to poke through so I went ahead and added a third wood round so that the screw would not poke through when we screwed it in and I just went ahead and marked where the center was I did measure and add a little Mark and I just made the mark bigger here so you just place your little black piece again like I said I cannot talk today you guys place that black piece on there and then just screw that screw in and you guys that's it this thing spins and it spins great and here's a look at how this DIY turned out [Music] foreign for this DIY you will need two of the new Dollar Tree tags they are in the beach section I love the fact that they have this cork board on top but one of them we're going to have a front facing and then the other one we're going to use the back side because it is all wood on that side and we are going to create some more black faux stain by again just mixing some of that paint into some water the more paint that you add the darker your stain will be so definitely keep that in mind then I just take my paint brush and start placing the faux stain just like you would paint you can wipe off the excess if you would like it to be lighter but I did like the color that it was turning out by just painting it right onto the tag and you guys look how amazing that faux stain technique works out I mean who would have thought I think this is absolutely gorgeous and I love the fact that there's no harsh chemicals [Music] once the tag is dry I'm going to take another one of those paints transfer transfers and I'm going to use this tall windmill here and it did have another like top windmill part where I cut it off but I used that in another DIY so I'm going to be using this tall windmill here I place my transfer off to the right side of the tag and then I make sure that there is no air bubbles at all and then I add my white chalk paste by simply squeegeing it onto the transfer once you have it all filled in peel off your transfer and reveal that gorgeous image wash your transfer off place it back on its backing and use it again next time for the second tag I'm just going to take that same black faux stain and I'm just going to go around where the wood part is on the tag and only the wood part so basically just creating that border and I do go over this one two times then I take another piece of that painters tape and I'm just going to tape it off right where the top of that Coral is so that I can paint right underneath the painters tape with my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint [Music] foreign I did end up giving this two coats so that you could not see the coral peeking through and you want to get as close to the edge of the cork board as you possibly can then once it is dry go ahead and remove that frog tape to create a strip of white where I'm going to be placing the letters I used the Frog tape and place it close to the top of the tag and then I take another piece and place it about an inch to an inch and a half below that first piece then just fill in that strip with the white chalk paint and once you have it filled in you can just remove the tape and you have a perfect little strip where you can put your letters for the stickers I will be using these stickers that I got off of Amazon they are kind of in a raid done style font and I have used many many sticker letters and these ones are absolutely amazing and you get a whole bunch of sheets so I will definitely have the link down in the description box because these are definitely a must grab I love these sticker letters so all I'm going to do is place down the words Farm Suite Farm I found this cute little pig at I believe it was Dollar General but it could have been Family Dollar but I'm pretty sure it was Dollar General they're the yellow tag so I'm just going to cut off the metal hanger and they did have other farm animals as well but I just liked the cute little pig and I didn't think the tag was going to be as bad as Dollar Tree but of course it was so I just got rid of it with my heat gun and then I went in with my black chalk paint and painted the entire Pig I wouldn't have necessarily had to remove the tag but I wanted my pig to face a certain direction so that is why I removed the tag then I just went in with some sandpaper and kind of went around the edges to reveal a little bit of the white that was underneath foreign and then I just take my glue gun and add some glue to the back of the pig and glue it right to the center of where I painted the white on the tag where the hanger was at on the pig there's holes and I did not like how you could see the white through there so I just took my black chalk paint and a small brush and filled both of those holes in [Music] then I lay my tags down on how I liked them being placed before I glued them down then I just kind of lift it up add some glue and place it right back down where it was at I use a black paint pen and I just Trace like the top of that white part making a nice little thin line so that it creates a really thin little black border for the bow I made a little three Loop finger bow with The Gingham ribbon from Dollar Tree and I did not put that footage in here because I'm still trying to perfect that so it took a few tries for that three Loop bow but I just hot glued it right to it where the little Piggy's bum is using a few more beads from the Easter Garland I paint two of them black and three white but I did only end up using two of those white for the hanger I'm going to be using some of the black cotton twine from Dollar Tree just like we used earlier I cut two of the same length pieces and then I'm going to fold one of the pieces in half and then take that Loop and place it through the hole in the tag and then I'm going to take the other two ends place it through that Loop and Pull and then I do the exact same thing on the other side and then I tie all four of those strands together into one piece up at the top but when you tie it you do want to tie it to where you have some of the strands left over hanging out of the top so that you can add your beads the holes that are in the beads are kind of small so I'm just going to cut off a few of these strands leaving two of the longest strands left then all I did was string on the beads and I alternated the colors as well once you have all four of the beads on go ahead and tie a simple knot up at the top big enough so that your beads will not come through and you have a cute little hanger and here is a look at how this absolutely beautiful DIY turned out I absolutely love the fact that you do not have to have a Cricut or chocolate or prices to make beautiful high-end home decor just like all of these and so much more I am obsessed with that stained wood with the cork board and that white with the black I love this tag I think they are absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorites for sure for this DIY I'm going to be using these two chalkboard tags from Dollar Tree they are tied together with this little jute twine they also have tags with a white dry erase board on the front but I like the chalkboard tag for mine so I'm just going to cut the jute twine hanger off of it and then I'm going to take some painters tape and just place it down over here kind of towards the side just to where I can make a little pinstripe by taking two pieces of that painters tape and placing it next to each other once I have the painters tape down and I like the thickness of the little pinstripe I'm going to fill it in with my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and then once it is completely filled in you can reveal your little stripe by peeling off the painters tape I get a lot of questions in the comments whether or not I wait for my paint to dry before I peel the painters tape off and I personally like to peel the painters tape off while my paint is still wet because I have had lots of experience peeling it off while it was dry and it will peel some of the paint off sometimes so if you peel it off before it dries you have less of that um peeling off I guess you could say if you've ever used painters tape you probably know exactly what I'm talking about so anyways I went ahead and made a larger pinstripe with the painters tape next to the smaller one and again filled it in with my right white I cannot talk today you guys it is insane white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and look how gorgeous that is once you peel it off and then I do one more simple little pinstripe down here at the bottom you could do as many as you would like you can make them as thick or as thin as you would like I just think this gives it such a gorgeous nice little high-end look and now you are done with that tag and I just love how simple and easy that one is to make so let's move on to the second tag which I I had an idea for the other side so that's why I painted this side but I ended up just not doing the other side so I went ahead and used this side to paint with my right Rust-Oleum chalk paint and I have been using the color linen white once I have the tag completely painted white and then it is completely dry I'm going to use this Farmhouse fabric from Dollar Tree I love this fabric they do carry other Farmhouse Fabrics as well and they are all beautiful but this one I am absolutely obsessed with I want to use this rooster image so I found one that is closest to the edge and I use my scissors and I cut it out and as you can see on the image there is that square going all the way around well when you cut it out you want to leave a little bit of excess Fabric and then you just cut it down so that again there's just a tiny bit of excess fabric over around that square and then you're going to take your fingers and start pulling at those strings that's why you want to have that little bit of excess fabric so that you have this really cool ripped effect Once you pull a bunch of those strings out and it is super easy to do once I have the ripped look to my liking I just take some mod podge and I place it onto the back of the fabric and I make sure that I Do cover the entire piece of the fabric and I really do try and get those end little pieces that are ripped as well then I just take my piece of fabric with the Mod Podge on it and I place it right on the tag in the center and I use my fingers to completely smooth it out when I smooth out my fabric I like to use my finger and just go from the center outward and kind of almost like you're stretching it and pushing it down at the same time next I'm going to use this Gangnam ribbon from Dollar Tree and I just add a little bit of hot glue up here at the top corner of the tag place The Gingham ribbon onto the hot glue wrap the ribbon around to the front add some hot glue going completely across the front of the tag then wrap it around to the back add some hot glue onto the back and secure it into place and then I'm going to repeat the same steps down here at the bottom of the tag add some hot glue to the back of the tag wrap the ribbon around the front of the tag to the back of the tag and then add some hot glue secured into place and cut off the excess now I can go ahead and glue my two tags together and I just add some hot glue to the back of the white tag and when I place it onto the black tag I do it crooked but making sure the two holes on the tags line up so that we can add our hanger and for the hanger I'm going to be using this twine hanger that I actually got off of a different Dollar Tree sign and it has this little plastic piece on there that when you turn it it kind of holds the string or twine from coming out so again you just push it right into the hole turn that little plastic piece and you can see it will not come back out so then I just do the same thing with the other end of the twine and turn that plastic piece so that neither ends could come out and I'm going to add a little bit of hot glue up here at the top and glue that twine down so that it has a nice little hanger once I had the hanger done I knew it needed something else up here at the top and I just had this tiny little piece of that Gangnam ribbon from Dollar Tree left so I'm going to create a bow just by simply making the cancer awareness shape with my ribbon and then kind of pinching it in at the centers and then you can just use other ribbon twine string whatever you would like I'm going to use this I believe it's like a cotton twine and it's from Dollar Tree it is also white and black so I figured it would kind of go with it and you just tie it into a knot so that it secures the bow into place once the bow is nice and secure I can cut off those twine pieces and then I'm just going to pull at my loops and at my tails to make sure that they are the length and the size that I want them if you would like to dovetail your ends of the ribbon I just go ahead and fold them in half and then cut at an angle and once both of your tails are dovetailed you have this cute little bow and I just add some hot glue up here by the hanger and add my bow and this DIY is done now let's take a look at how it turned out [Music] for this DIY you will need one of the new beach themed bead garlands from Dollar Tree they do have several different ones but they are all square beads so all you're going to do is cut off the string and then take those little wood cutouts off and keep the beads these bead garlands have 25 beads on them so you can't necessarily make two even piles so I did 12 in one bag and 13 and I am doing this because I want my beads to be two different colors if you would like your beads to be all one color you could just place them all in one bag my first bag of beads I want to be white so I'm just taking some white Rust-Oleum chalk paint placing a little bit into the bag swishing it around making sure that those beads are completely covered and then emptying them out making sure that you kind of spread them apart so that they don't stick together for the second set of the wood beads I want to create another faux stain and this time I'm doing it with black chalk paint so I just add a little bit to my water and then I'm going to take the water a little bit at a time and place it right into the bag with the wood beads do the exact same thing you did with the white paint and just swish those all around until the beads are completely covered then I pour the stain out into a container so that I don't get it all over my workplace and then empty the beads out onto a paper towel and again separate them so that they don't stick when they dry and look how absolutely gorgeous these wood beads are once they are completely dry I love that look to string the beads I'm going to be using this jute twine from the Dollar Tree and I do believe this is the jute twine from the automotive section but you're going to want to take a piece of tape and place it onto the end of the twine because as you can see here it was kind of hard to actually string the beads without having the tape on there so I just took in a little piece of painters tape added it to the end and cut it off so that I could string the beads and then when I strung the beads onto the twine I did this alternating the colors once you have all your beads strong you can put the Garland to the side and then you can use that Dollar Tree do twine it to make a tassel all I'm going to do is spread my fingers far enough apart to basically the length that I want my tassel to be and then I'm going to wrap the twine around my finger a bunch of times you can do it as many or as little times as you would like the more you do it the thicker your tassel will be so now I'm just going to make a loop up at the top take another piece of twine and simply start wrapping it around and then I'm going to tie it into place foreign [Music] off the top and then you're going to also cut down at the bottom where the big Loops are and then you want to make all the little pieces one layer and now you have a cute little twine tassel but I wanted to actually add a little bit more to this so I'm going to use this new lace crochet ribbon I think it is so pretty but I could not figure out how to get it off here like they had to have stapled it after they wrapped it you'll see what I mean if you buy it but you get so much of this for only a dollar 25 and it is absolutely beautiful all I'm going to do is take the lace ribbon and just wrap it over the top of that little Loop and then cut it down to the same size as the tassel pieces [Music] and of course I could not stop there because I've had this ribbon for a while I'm always seeing it in Dollar Tree and I've been wanting to use it for so long so I'm going to actually cut a little piece to the same size as that lace ribbon and then I'm going to dovetail my ends of both of the ribbon and the lace ribbon by just folding the ribbon in half and then cutting at an inward diagonal angle [Music] then stack one ribbon on top of the other and then Loop them over the loop that is on the top basically the little Loop and then you're going to take another piece of twine and you're going to wrap it right where you wrapped it before basically pinching it in the same exact spot and then wrapping some Dew twine around top creating a little Loop just like before and then tie it into place [Music] cut off any extra bits and you have this super cute little tassel Dollar Tree carries this pack of galvanized metal tags and they do come three in a pack and they also come with their own little bit of twine but we're only going to use one of the tags for this DIY using a chippy brush from the Dollar Tree which also comes in a three pack I take that white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and I just kind of do a messy little paint job right on top of the little metal tag once the paint is completely dry I'm going to take that cute little chicken transfer again and I love the fact that you can use these transfers over and over again all you have to do is just go wash them off and place them right back on their backing so I'm going to fill it in with some chalk paste you again can use chalk paint if you would like once the chicken is completely filled in just like before all you have to do is peel off the transfer and you have this cute little chicken then you can wash the transfer and use it again next time I see these rub on transfers at Dollar Tree all the time and all I'm going to do is just cut off these Arch like leaves down here at the bottom and then I'm going to just use my Cricut tool and just kind of transfer one at the top and one at the bottom of the chicken you do not have to have a Cricut tool to transfer these all you have to do is use a credit card I mean I've used my fingernail before they really do transfer very easily and you could find many many things around your house that you could use [Music] and look how adorable that tag is I love how this turned out to assemble the Garland all you have to do is tie on your tassel at one end of the Garland then tie the metal tag on the other end when tying both of these on you want to make sure that you don't tie them too tight so that you can't like twist and move your bead Garland if you would like so you want to make sure you have a little bit of space like you see how I have about an inch of space between the tassel and the beads so you want to just make sure that you have just a little bit of leeway and again that is so that you can kind of wrap your beads around something if you would like and that they don't stay straight and not be able to move or curve once you have the tassel and tag on and you cut off any of the extra look at how adorable this DIY turned out [Music] just like with the other DIYs I think this Garland it turned out absolutely adorable I am obsessed with that tag and I am so glad that it matches all of our other DIYs that we did in this video foreign and one more time look how absolutely gorgeous those stained beads are I love how this Garland turned out [Music] for this DIY I had seen this at Big Lots for 18 and I just wanted to take a little bit of inspiration from it and make it into my own personal style so for this DIY I'm going to use two of these wood boards from Dollar Tree and I'm actually going to make them look like they are a bunch of wood boards put together so I'm going to start off by painting them both white with my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint once the paint is completely dry I'm going to take this wood piece that is actually from Dollar Tree it was in my stash it's been there for quite a while and I liked how wide it was so I'm just going to take my pencil you could also use like a ruler or paint stir stick whatever you have on hand and I just take my pencil and I make the lines so that when I'm done it will kind of look like I have six boards total once I put those two boards together once you have those lines drawn you can smudge it with your finger or whatever you would like but I wanted to try a little bit of a different technique I've I kind of just came up with it as I was sitting in my craft room trying to figure out how to make this look a little bit more like wood boards put together so I take my box knife and I'm going to score the line from my pencil and then I just take a butter knife and go along where I scored to kind of make it a little bit wider and then I'm just going to repeat those steps using the box cutter to create that line and then using the butter knife to widen it and then I'm just going to repeat again those steps on the other board as well once I had my lines done I flipped those two boards over so that I can attach them in the back and I'm just going to use some craft sticks these are like the larger ones from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to add some hot glue and place a bunch of these craft sticks on the back once you have those two boards nice and secured together they look really nice and I think that technique worked out really well but I'm going to go in with some black chalk paint and do a really light dry brushing just to give it a little bit of a weathered look and I go around all of the edges and then I also really lightly go along those lines that we made as well I always say in all of my videos where I do distressing if distressing is not something that you like you can definitely skip this step next you will need two of these wood crates from Dollar Tree and technically you only have to paint three of the sides and the inside because we will be gluing them to that backing with the boards so go ahead and paint those three sides you can paint the bottom if you would like and paint the inside I used my white Rust-Oleum chalk paint and then again I go in with my chippy brush and that black chalk paint to give a little bit of distressing on the crates as well and just like I did with the lines on the board I'm also going to add a little bit of dry brushing to these creases here on the crates as well to give it a little bit more of a weathered look once you have the crates distressed to your liking I add some hot glue onto the back of both of the crates and then I'm just going to place them down at the bottom portion of the board so in the inspiration piece it had some galvanized metal on there so I'm using this galvanized metal piece from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to add a decent amount of hot glue you guys please use a low temp heat gun or give it a second to dry or even use like oven mitts on your hands just to protect your hands because that hot glue really heats up that metal I just glued it right to the center of those boards and then I'm going to take this super cute galvanized chicken from Dollar Tree they also have a pig and a cow and I'm going to cut off the hanger and then add some Mod Podge a crap ton of mod podge but I do end up smearing it out and taking a little bit off and then I'm going to use this gorgeous Dollar Tree fabric once again I do like my DIYs in my videos mostly to match or go together so I'm going to take this fabric cut off a piece big enough to cover the chicken and then I'm just going to place the fabric over top of the Mod Podge that is on the chicken and then just to make sure it lasts a really long time I'm going to add another layer of mod podge over top of the fabric and you really want to kind of smear and smooth this out as much as you can and once it dries that you can go ahead and cut off a lot of that excess and then I usually take like a fingernail filer if there's any really small Pace spaces like kind of by upwardly chicken's head and neck area is those little creases where I'm at would be great for a nail filer or you could also fold a piece of sandpaper in half and really get into those grooves and cut off while sand off all of that excess before I add my chicken I'm going to use four of these thumbtacks that are from Dollar Tree I've had them for quite some time now they are silver and I want them to be black so I just go ahead and paint all four of those black with my black chalk paint as some of you may know these Dollar Tree galvanized metal pieces have four holes in them one on each corner so it's going to make it really easy for us to take our thumb tacks push it right into the hole right down into the wood and they are very secure and in place and look really cute as some detail and now we can finally take our chicken add some hot glue to the back of the chicken and then place it right onto the galvanized metal and oh my goodness you guys I am already loving how this is turning out also on the inspiration picture from Big Lots the front of it had a welcome saying on there and it was really cute so I kind of wanted to mimic that as well so I'm taking one of these galvanized metal words the welcome obviously I did get these last fall but they have them pretty much all year round and I went ahead and painted that as well black with my black chalk paint and I'm just going to glue it on the front of the crates down here at the bottom now all you have to do to add floral floral florals or Greenery just add some Spanish moss nope not Spanish moss floral foam into the crate you guys it's a mess today is a mess add some floral foam into the crate and then add whatever Greenery you would like I just cut up some of this boxwood looking Greenery from Dollar Tree add it into the crates and then I just went in with a little bit more black chalk paint to give it just just a little bit more distressing and look at this you guys I absolutely love it so very much again it is not an exact dupe but I hope you guys can see where I got the inspiration from on the original picture from Big Lots and that is what I'm here for you guys I love making DIYs so you can either recreate them exactly like that or get inspiration from them as well [Music] thank you [Music] I am so excited about this DIY I personally absolutely adore this DIY so to start out you will need two of these easels from Dollar Tree I personally have not seen them before at my Dollar Tree I think I've heard of them a little while back but I hadn't heard about them for quite some time so I think they are back again so again you will need two of these so to start off you'll need to remove these two screws that are on both of the easels and they hold up that little wood piece that will hold up your canvas or your picture frame and you're just going to take that wood piece off and set it aside don't throw it away we will need it for later so now you have this three piece here and that one wood piece and then just go ahead and repeat the same steps on the second easel so that you just have that one three piece and then the little wood piece as well again do not throw those two wood Pieces away that we took off of the easel you will need those later on now I'm going to take a 10 inch style rod from Dollar Tree and I just use my miter shears and I cut it in half so that is at five inches next I add a little bit of hot glue just on the two wood pieces that had the screws in it and I add the hot glue right where the screw holes are and then I'm going to glue that dowel rod right to those two pieces so that this back kickstand apart always stays where it can be moving and then I do it the exact same thing to the other easel as well and just like the previous one you want to make sure you're only gluing it to those two wood pieces so that back piece can stay moving now hold the easels up so that those wood pieces that can move are facing each other and then you're going to want to just simply push them right up and then add some wood glue for the long and strong hold and some hot glue for the immediate hold and then you're just going to glue those two wood pieces that are able to move together straight up here at the top once you have those glued together you want to tighten these metal pieces over here I know they have a name but I cannot think of the name right now but if you tighten those that will make it so that your legs to your swing set are very sturdy and they will not move now I can start making the seat for our swing and I'm going to use those two wood pieces that I took off earlier in a five gallon paint stir stick and I just put the stir stick between those two wood pieces I just liked how wide it was with the stir stick in between those pieces and I mark it down and I'm going to just simply cut it with my miter shears once it is cut I sand it down so that it is nice and smooth and then I'm going to place one of those pieces of wood facing up and then one of the pieces that we took off earlier facing down so you kind of see that little bit of a lip on one of them I just wanted one of those lips to kind of be up on the other side just to look almost like a little bit of a backing or kind of like the stopper for the swing to hold it all together I used some craft sticks and way too much wood glue I do wipe off all of that excess and I just Place those down to keep all three of those pieces together because I use that paint stir stick I did have to sand off any of the image if I was going to paint over it it really wouldn't matter but I'm going to do some stain the faux stain technique again I know you guys are probably as sick of that posting technique but I just love it I am a mom so I have kids here and I don't like to really use a lot of icky smells and chemicals and things like that I try to craft when they're not home but still either way you know just to be safe I love to use just the paint and water mixture for the faux stain as you can see I stained the entire frame for the swing set and then I'm also going to stain the wood piece for our seat as well once everything is stained it should look like this and I can already see this coming together I'm so excited about this DIY so at Dollar Tree they carry these picture hanging kits and they have these little hooks inside of them and they are kind of closed they have just a little bit of a space that's open and you really can't fit much through there so I'm just using my scissors to kind of make that opening on the hook a little bit bigger I'm going to use two of those hooks and I'm just going to screw one on each side about an inch away from the edge underneath the top of the swing set basically where the chain on a swing set normally is when I screwed my hooks in I made sure that the opening was facing outward on both sides next I'm going to take some of the Dollar Tree nautical robe and I'm taking two pieces that I cut at 34 inches and I'm going to fold them in half and then I just take where the halfway mark is and I'm going to Loop it onto our hook that we screwed onto the swing set then once the twine is on we're going to take that wood piece and I'm just going to take the twine and place it or like underneath the wood piece creating a loop bringing the two ends up here at the top and then I'm going to tie it where pretty much at the length that I want my swing set swing to be goodness gracious you guys it is definitely easier to watch than it is to explain so I just cut off the excess on that knot and then I slid the knot down to underneath the wood piece and then I'm just going to hot glue the nautical rope in place so basically you're making a loop at the size or length that you want your swing to hang and then you'll glue the bottom of the wood piece to your Loop and then you're just going to do the same thing to the other side add the nautical rope onto your hook I brought it down underneath the little wood piece to the same length as the previous nautical rope and then I'm just going to tie it in somewhat of a loose knot just so that I know that I have it at the length that I want it and then I'm going to hot glue it into place and then add another knot so that it is nice and secure then just cut off any excess nautical rope with some scissors and you have this super adorable little swing for the little Decor piece on the swing I'm going to use this little metal like mug that I believe I got at Dollar Tree a few years back I have seen them like on yardsticks at Dollar Tree and I do believe they also had one with a little spigot so it was really like cute as well so I go ahead and pull all that excess stuff off and then I sand it down so that the paint takes a little bit better and it will not peel or chip off and now I'm just going to go in with the white Rust-Oleum chalk paint again and I'm going to give this two coats of that chalk paint covering it completely once I have it painted completely white and it is dry I'm just going to use some black chalk paint and a paintbrush and go through and add a little bit of distressing along like the rims and the handle and just really anywhere that I kind of thought would look nice and needed a little bit of an extra touch Dollar Tree carries so many different rub on transfers and they have these new Farmhouse transfers I love them there are so many different styles these are one of them and I'm going to cut out the farm fresh flowers seeds stems blooms the rectangle on the outside like the Border was just a little bit too big so I only cut out the wording and then I'm just going to place it on the center of the little mug and once I have it where I would like it I'm going to push it down onto the mug then take my Cricut tool and start rubbing it from the inside out and what I mean by that is I start in the center of the transfer and I work my way out on one side and then I go to the center of the transfer again and work my way out on the other side until I have it completely rubbed on and then you can peel off the plastic piece and reveal your new rub-on transfer now this was just a little bit too crisp and clean for me you could leave it just as is if you would like but I just wanted to kind of distress it a little bit more so I use the black chalk paint and a chippy brush and I just go along the whole entire mug and kind of distress it down just a little bit and you guys that is it add some florals Greenery succulents whatever you would like put it on your swing and check out how stinking cute this DIY turned out [Music] this DIY is definitely by far my favorite in this video you could add a potted plant on here a gnome whatever you would like I just adore this swing so very much [Music] while I was at Dollar Tree the other day I not only found that really cool bead Garland but I also found these wall bases these galvanized wall vases so as soon as I found it I knew I had to do a DIY with it right away I don't know why but these totally screamed Farmhouse to me you could have them be any style that you would like but I wanted them to have a farmhouse style to them so I went ahead and cut off the twine like hanger and then I'm going to use this folk art metallic gunmetal gray to kind of dull this down and make it look a little bit more like old and I guess weathered so I'm going to use a sponge and I'm just going to kind of sponge this lightly across and over basically on the entire wall vase I don't know why they call it a wall vase that's just I don't know I've I've heard of it being called a wall pocket which I think is a little bit better but yeah anyways you're going to again sponge that folk art metallic gunmetal gray all over the metallic no galvanized you guys I swear it has been a day so anyways as you can tell that really dulls this down and I'm sorry I put so much of this footage in here I did not mean to but there we go now we're done so now I'm going to use this hello hobby I believe it is Cafe Noor and I'm just going to use another piece of sponge and add this going around all of the edges because this color is the perfect rust color I love using this color for rust you don't have to mess with any powdery substance like cinnamon and you know stuff like that so you just kind of sponge it on on and I went across the top edge here and you guys it really makes this look so much better I love the way this turned out now I'm going to use the Farmhouse stencil with the chicken on it from Dollar Tree and I just placed the chicken right centered on this galvanized piece down here on the bottom of the wall vase and I definitely should have taped it down I highly recommend taping it down it did want to keep kind of sliding around so but I got it to work in the end so just tape it down to save time I highly recommend that and like I did with all the other stencils I'm going to use my stencil brush fill in the chicken with my black chalk paint and all I'm doing here is just the chicken so you do not have to worry about any of the rest of the stencil and once you have that done look at how adorable at this point I felt like it needed a little bit of rust on this Inside Edge here so that's all I'm doing here is just adding some of that cafe nor to the Inside Edge so it just has a little bit of rust as well I'm also going to use these rub on transfers from Dollar Tree and I like the leaves down here at the bottom that are kind of long and they also have a little bit of a shorter set so I just go ahead and cut out those leaves so that I can transfer them on I Like to Lay My pieces down before I actually transfer them on to see where I like them so once I have them in the position that I like I just go ahead and transfer it down by using my Cricut tool and again kind of starting from the center and working my way out and then just slowly pull off the plastic piece from the transfer and then I just repeat the same step on the other side with the other rub on transfer and then I also added the two smaller little leaves right up like kind of above the first rub on transfers and look how absolutely adorable that looks I just love how this is turning out as well originally This was meant to hang on the wall but I actually want it to be a stand-up Decor piece so I'm going to use some of these Dollar Tree beads and I use like the medium size and I'm going to paint four of those black with my black chalk paint these wood beads are going to be the feet that make our Decor piece stand up so I'm just going to kind of stand it up making sure that it is nice and level and then I'm going to add some hot glue to one of the wood beads now making sure you are holding your galvanized metal piece in place Slide the wood bead towards the front this is you're going to have one in the front and one in the back and when you slide it into position once it hits the side and cannot go any further that's where you want to glue your wood bead and then you will repeat the same step with the other three beads creating all four of your feet to make the decor piece stand straight up to cover up the holes where the hanger was I made a bow just like I did earlier and then I also made a dew twine bow as well and glued that right on top of the Gangnam bow and then I'm going to glue those bows right over where the holes were for the hanger and that is it you guys this DIY is done you could use this for so many different things you could add florals Greenery you could put your mail in here your keys it would be super cute I love how this DIY turned out and I hope you do too for this DIY you will need one of the Dollar Tree Glass spaces and some type of painters tape whether it is frog tape or whatever type of tape you would like for this face I'm going to be painting the bottom portion of it so I'm taking the Frog tape and I'm just wrapping it around the vase where I would like that to start you could have yours closer to the top closer to the bottom wherever you would like then you're just going to Simply take the rest of that frog tape and start covering that portion of the vase and I Do cover the top of the vase just simply because I don't want the paint to get down inside either once you have the portion of the vase taped off that you would like to remain clear I just used some Rust-Oleum chalk paint spray paint you could definitely hand paint this as well and I spray painted the vase and when it is dry you can simply remove all of the tape and you will have this nice crisp clean line as some of you may know Dollar Tree is now carrying metal ribbon and I am absolutely obsessed with using this it actually Cuts very very easily as you can see here I thought it was going to be a lot harder to cut but it actually Cuts nice and easy all I did was cut the size that I needed to fit around the vase and then I just wrap it around and hot glue it into place the reason why I'm holding mine upside down while I'm doing this is because I want the metal ribbon to line right up with that white paint and it is that simple and this DIY is done I have used this DIY in so many different ways whether it's just sitting it just like that nice and by itself letting the natural beauty show or add a candle to use it as a candle holder then I also have placed florals in there and greeneries to use it as a vase as well for this DIY you will need 5 of the 12 inch wood pieces from Dollar Tree you could also go to a hardware store like Lowe's or Home Depot and get the wood even cheaper but if you'd like to keep it all Dollar Tree or if you don't have a hardware store close like I of course do not so I just kind of keep it all Dollar Tree I know it's a few extra dollars but it's okay you can definitely go to a hardware store and get it cheaper if you would like so I sanded all five of those wood pieces down and then I used some wood glue also from Dollar Tree and I use my hot glue gun that has the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks in there and so that gives it a really good hold as well but with the wood glue I'm sure you could use pretty much any type of hot glue because it will have a really nice stronghold so all you have to do is glue all five of those wood pieces together once your glue is all dry you can paint or stain your tray whatever color you would like I decided to go with kind of a gray color and I am actually doing the faux stain technique which is just mixing whatever color paint you would like and this is the I believe elephant by Waverly and you mixed whatever paint color you would like with a few drops of water really kind of watering it down the more water you put in the lighter the stain will be and then you just go ahead and stain it just like you would a normal project place it right on your project with a paintbrush and or you could also use a paper towel as well to put it on and then use a clean paper towel to wipe off the excess you are going to do this to the entire tray making sure that you get the sides as well and look how gorgeous this faux stain technique comes out and you have no icky smells harsh chemicals or really any dry time it dries within just a few minutes using a chippy brush from the Dollar Tree this is just one of the ones that come in a three pack I add some white chalk paint onto the entire tray first kind of doing it lightly and then I go in just a little bit extra heavy dry brushing only in a few little spots like I don't do the entire tray as you see I just kind of add a little bit extra touches here and there for the handles on the tray I'm going to be using the Dollar Tree leather everybody has been going crazy about this stuff and I can totally see why for a dollar 25 this is absolutely amazing I cut two strips at 12 inches long and a half inch wide then I add some hot glue down at one end and create a loop with the strip of leather once I have the loop made I take my hot glue gun again and add a line of hot glue right in the center of that strip so that you can kind of smash it down and it will create one strip of leather where the leather is basically shown on both sides this faux leather only has the leather print on one side so basically you're just making a strip that the leather is being shown on both sides Again by creating just a loop and then add some hot glue in the center and then Smash It Down and then you'll have two strips like this where the leather is shown on both sides to attach a leather to the tray I'm going to be using these thumbtacks from Dollar Tree but I wanted them to be silver and I could not find any silver ones so I just simply painted a few of these gold ones with my metallic folk art sterling silver paint I placed the leather onto the wood tray by kind of making it have a loop in the center then I just take the thumbtacks and press it down on both sides of the leather making sure that it goes down into the wood [Music] look then you will just repeat the same process on the other side of the wood tray [Music] and here's how this beautiful wood tray turned out I love how this DIY turned out those leather strap handles to me give it such a high-end look I have actually had this wood tray for quite some time now and I do display it out in my own home and I have decorated it quite a few different ways so I placed some photos in here so that you guys can see how I did those decorations as well foreign there are just so many different ways you could use to dress up this wood tray [Music] for this DIY you will need a long sign from Dollar Tree it does not have to be this exact sign you just need any long sign I want this sign to kind of have a shiplap wood look to it so I just use my white chalk paint and paint the entire sign white then I take a pencil and a ruler and just make lines going throughout the sign you could do as many or as little lines as you would like then to kind of give it that wood look I take my finger and smudge those pencil lines and I do kind of smudge some spots more than others I have been wanting to use this this is us wall sticker from Dollar Tree for quite some time now and I see them at Dollar Tree still to this day and all I do is take the stickers and place them right onto the sign making sure that it is centered you could also add a layer of mod podge or a spray sealer over top of this if you would like as well to create a border on this side I'm using these bamboo skewer sticks from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to cut them down with my miter shears and you can definitely use scissors for these to cut these down as well they they cut very very easily but just be careful when you cut them because if you don't hold them down the right way the other end will definitely go flying across the room using the craftwise chalkboard paint from Dollar Tree I go ahead and paint all of those pieces that I cut down to create the border and to create that border all I did was hold those skewer sticks up to the sign and kind of Mark it down and then cut it down in those spots once you have all your border pieces painted go ahead and add your hot glue wood glue or whatever type of glue you would like and then just start placing those pieces around creating your border [Music] at Dollar Tree they sell these over-the-door hangers with the hooks on them and all I do is just take the part that goes over the door that's bent and I just bend it as straight as I possibly could once those are straight you can add that to your sign by simply pasting your sign face down then adding some hot glue on those parts that you just straightened out make sure you do add a decent amount and I am using the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks I would recommend E6000 for something like this as well but I did not have any E6000 on hand so I did use the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks and I will have those linked Down Below in the description box but for just one more security hold I added some hot glue going across that metal part and added some jumbo popsicle sticks making sure that it kept that in place as well then all I did was add a twine hanger by simply placing a little bit of hot glue onto the back of the sign and adding smaller pieces of popsicle stick making sure that the twine stays in place [Music] and here's how this gorgeous DIY turned out this was another one that went viral on my Tick Tock page and I can totally see why I am just obsessed with this DIY I think this would be so adorable in the kitchen to hang spatulas on it in the bathroom to hang towels hats gloves or you could hang home decor also [Music] for this DIY you will need one of the bamboo wreath forms from Dollar Tree and four of their boxwood Greenery picks which by the way this new Floral Garden brand from Dollar Tree is absolutely amazing you should see some of the other greeneries they have now as well all I did was use the Dollar Tree garden shears and cut apart each of those Dollar Tree Greenery picks when you are cutting these down they do not have to have a really long stem on them but you want them to have a long enough stem so that you can poke them into the wreath just in case you're able to see it through some of the greenery pieces onto the wreath form I did go ahead and add some of this darker green paint and honestly I'm not even sure where this paint came from it was just in my paints bucket and I decided it was the closest to the greenery yet so I used it you could probably really use any kind of Darker green paint that you would like and once your paint is dry all you have to do is start pushing the greenery stems into the wreath form these bamboo wreath forms are kind of wrapped a little bit tight but they are loose enough to where you can get those stem picks right in there like and they are so tight that they do not need glue at all once you do this you hardly ever want to make any other kind of wreath because it is just so easy I love making wreaths like these especially using the bamboo reforms because like I said all you are doing is just pushing those stems right into the wreath form simply keep pushing those Greenery pieces into those cracks on the wreath form until you have your wreath completely full and I don't know about you but I am already in love at first I was going to make this wreath without a bow at all so I chose this ribbon at first and to place the ribbon onto the wreath all I do is move the greenery out of the way then place the ribbon into the center of the wreath then bring it up the back and make it into a loop up at the top but like I said I do end up changing this ribbon out to one of the ribbons that I also used for the bow [Music] for the bow I'm going to be using this neutral Farmhouse ribbon pack that I now have on my Amazon store so I will have this linked down below and I cut my ribbon at 23 inches and then to dovetail the ends all I do is fold it in half and then cut it at an inward diagonal angle [Music] once you have your ends dovetailed you're going to lay your Ribbon down so that it is laying face down then pull the ends in towards the center kind of creating that cancer awareness ribbon shape [Music] then all you have to do is take that top Loop and place it where the two ribbons meet right there in the center and then squish it in at the center as well you could use a Chanel stem or a floral wire to hold your bow together but I just use some of the Dollar Tree Dew twine I absolutely love the way the twine Center looks and I just place it onto the center of the bow and wrap it around quite a few times creating a cute little Center in the bow and this also keeps your bow together so once you have it wrapped a few times just go ahead and cut off the excess and hot glue it into place then all you have to do is kind of fluff out your loops and pull down your ends however you would like them and you have a super cute bow I absolutely love this wreath with or without the bow so I wanted to be able to take the bow off really easily so I just used a small little clothespin I believe Dollar Tree also carries small little clothespins as well and you could also use big clothes clothes pins for larger bows and all I do is just hot glue that right to the back of the bow first here is how this absolutely stunning boxwood Greenery wreath turned out without the bow and there's where you could also see how I changed the top of the ribbon so that it did match the bow if I wanted to place the bow on there as well again I think this wreath just looks so high-end and I have seen these online for as much as almost 97. I posted that on my Tick Tock and people were just blown away and then you could also add that really cute little bow and this is adorable as well let me know in the comments do you like it with or without the bow I have seen so many different amazing ways to make this Lantern and so I just had to give my own little spin on it and give it a try so I'm going to use one of these like shadow box Decor pieces from Dollar Tree and I just break off the inner hanger part on the shadow box also if your shadow box has anything on the front of it that could kind of make it off balance go ahead and pull that off as well and of course you will need the good old Dollar Tree Hot Wheel tracks take one of the racetracks and add one of the ends into one corner of the shadow box and you want to add a nice bit of hot glue into that corner as well then you will take the other end of your Racetrack and bend it over to the other side of the corner of your shadow box directly across from the corner that you just glued it creating this Loop you will also want to glue that corner down as well then you are going to do the same thing with the second Race Track by placing it into one of the corners adding a nice bit of hot glue but this time when you bend it over you want to bend it over top of the previous race track that you put on to your shadow box then you're going to hot glue that spot down as well but of course once I had both of the racetrack pieces glued down that's when I realized I kind of wanted the opposite side of the racetrack to be facing up frontwards do you see how there's actually more of a lip now on this side than there is on the other side of the race track I hope you guys understand what I'm saying but you you'll kind of understand a little bit once you see when I put the half wood beads on so all I'm doing here is just changing it out because I didn't want you guys to be like wait a minute that looks different and me not explain why so once I had the racetrack pieces turned around I just add some hot glue up at the top where the two race tracks me making sure that they were nice and Center [Music] foreign beads that I also got off of Amazon I will also have these linked down below I believe I used the 12 mm or 15 mm but you could use whatever size that you would like and all I did was start adding hot glue onto all of those half wooden beads and then just started placing them onto the race track you could place your half wood beads as close together or as far apart as you would like and again I am using the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks so definitely check out the description box for those these are my go-to glue sticks I have never had an issue with really any type of surface when it comes to this glue stick so you could use E6000 or really whatever type you would like but that's just definitely what I recommend I place the half wood beads going all the way up until there's just a little space up at the top and then I'm going to use the top of this little jar that I got from Dollar Tree you could also use the top of a mason jar as well what I'm doing is creating a finial look for the top of this and I'm just going to add some hot glue at the top of the race tracks making sure I place the hot glue on all the points where the lid is going to meet the race tracks and then I place that lid right on top and if there's any spots that you can get to from the outside go ahead and just add some hot glue again making sure that lid is nice and secure Dollar Tree carries packs of ping pong balls and I'm just going to take one of the balls Place some hot glue right onto the ping pong ball then place it into the center at the top of the lantern then I just use a smaller wood bead that I had in my stash and I just add again some hot glue right onto the bead and place it onto the center of the top of the ping pong ball you can use Dollar Tree bees as well because we're going to be painting this so it doesn't really matter what color the bead is for the tippy top of our finial I'm going to be using one of these smaller like weird shape wood beads from Dollar Tree and I just again add some hot glue onto the bottom of the wood bead and then place it on top of the second wood bead once I had everything in place I just used that Rust-Oleum white chalk paint spray paint again and sprayed the whole entire Lantern Dollar Tree actually carries several different styles of that metal ribbon and for this Lantern I'm using this style here I cut a piece of the metal ribbon long enough to go around the lid that we put at the top of the lantern but it is a little bit too wide so I'm going to go ahead and cut off this part here where it has those little dots that is going that are going down the center so that it is not so wide foreign all you want to have left is the top part that has those Leaf looking prints on there for this project I kind of thought the metal was just a little bit too shiny so I go with my hello hobby antiquing wax you could use whatever kind of antiquing wax you would like I'm sure you could even use brown paint or you could even paint them as well so all I did was kind of dull them down and add some of that antiquing wax on both of those pieces and I didn't completely paint them I just did a nice heavy dry brushing using my hot glue gun I just start hot gluing the metal ribbon around the bottom base of the shadow box creating a really pretty border going all the way around the shadow box if you've used this metal ribbon before you definitely know that you really do need a strong glue for this so E6000 or a strong hot glue is definitely highly recommended once you have the metal ribbon glued completely around the bottom shadow box you're going to pretty much do the exact same thing to the lid that we put at the top of the lantern [Music] at this point you could leave your Lantern just as is but of course I always have to go a step further and I just again take that little chippy brush from Dollar Tree and add some antiquing wax onto the beads and pretty much the entire Lantern so that it gives us this really nice distressed look [Music] foreign beautiful Lantern turned out I absolutely love this Lantern I've seen it done in so many different ways and they always turn out looking absolutely gorgeous and I definitely want to say a big thumbs up to whoever came up with this idea of the racetracks it is absolutely amazing thank you all so much for watching I truly hope you all enjoyed these DIYs as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you I hope to see you all and a few new friends on the next one bye
