15 Things that are BROKEN on my 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning

hey guys in today's video I have to tell you all of the things that are wrong with my 2022 Ford Lightning it's a little ridiculous but here we go [Music] one well we're here having fun opening and closing this thing and already the first issue is it stopped closing [Music] I don't know what is going on already at issue I had this car for five hours if I double click this it just beeps [Music] dude what the heck [Applause] [Music] [Applause] now it won't close well that's ridiculous um I don't know I'll have to work on that figure out what's going on all right so I don't know what that front trunk issue was all about uh hopefully that doesn't happen again uh another weird little thing is that I'm here playing with the seat massager I'll flip the camera around so I've got the seat massager here if I go to passenger I have this one on I'm in the passenger seat so I could I can feel it and everything but when I go to driver turn it on it turns back off uh so I will have to look into that as well interesting three [Music] four five well I just noticed another weird little quality problem I still love the truck but a couple just little things I was opening this door and I kept hearing a click right there and I'm like what the heck is that so I'm just like looking around trying to see if there's a molding or something turns out this screw is loose I noticed it when I was moving the door so it is this bar that is clicking so I'm just going to tighten that up and fix it myself but just thought that was a little weird never seen that before well I fixed that I got the screw back in there just tighten that down but now I noticed this one here and you can kind of you can see that screw right there this isn't tightened all the way you can see it's kind of loose and wobbly so they missed that screw right there there it is so that should be tight and this rubber should be up against the metal so another quality control issue that they missed another screw so seven this is another like weird thing I just noticed we're here at the mall and I went to push this it didn't lock right away so I pushed a little harder and this whole door moves I'm surprised watch I I I'm just surprised that the um apparent weakness but I'm sure it's very strong it's just very odd seeing your whole door panel I don't move when you're just pushing the lock button hey another one I'm here parked my foot is on the brake I have stuff here but it's just wrappers and napkin oh now it goes happens all the time or this thing just gets stuck and for some reason doesn't want to go out of park or go out a drive uh so that's frustrating no idea why so sometimes what I end up doing when I can't get it to close like that I'll either open the door or I just hit the power button and both of those things will put this into park for you that's the only way to get out of the vehicle sometimes with this shifter nine here is a brand new issue that just happened today actually maybe yesterday but you can see here that the car thinks something is on the right side of me and there's nothing there's bushes behind me but it thinks I am about to hit something on the right side this has been happening consistently all day today and that sucks because this is not something I can fix myself and this is gonna have to be a dealer trip but yeah just something in the sensors right there of course this is obvious because there's bushes behind me of course it shows that right there but on the right side there is nada and it thinks I'm about to hit something so that sucks that one's definitely going to be a dealer trip another weird little Quirk with this thing is that it deleted my profile I've had this truck for five or six months and 8 700 miles and all of a sudden last night I deleted my profile and my wife's profile so I'm gonna have to go through and reset all of our settings because normally when you she walks up with her key fob or if I walk up with my key fob it'll have our settings ready and now they're both completely gone for some reason I didn't get an update last night so I really don't know why it happened but it's gone so that sucks well very weird I just dropped off my kids at school and I didn't even shut the car off but my presets are back so that's that's really weird another weird little glitch well I guess suddenly I have a Mustang Maki my Ford Lightning truck thinks it's a Mustang Maki I absolutely love this truck I still wouldn't trade it for the world but it does have some bugs that's really strange both I'm not sure if this is gonna show up but I have a black blotch there just cruising down the highway looked down and all of a sudden I have a black blotch on my Dash so many weird and annoying little bugs very very odd 13. I don't know if you can see this but I've got lines on here and it looks like it's raining look yeah it looks like it's raining bummer I don't think they're showing up streaks going up and down or just down until it looks like it's raining oh it's glitching a little bit left and right too huh none of that's really coming up that sucks 14. well here's another new bug after 11 500 miles now the screen just shut off and it's flickering back between black and blue I was using it for navigation in a new area that I'm not used to and here we are it is just doing this luckily it's still not as bad as my Tesla Model X but uh this is still kind of it sucks a bit 15. hey guys so I know this is quite the list this has been building up over I don't know I've had it for almost a year now what is super weird a lot of these problems only lasted a couple days like the the rain the lines in the screen that was like two days the little icon up here that was the Ford Maki instead of the Ford Lightning that was a day the tailgate happens every once in a great while where the tailgate doesn't want to close I don't know so it's it's super weird I recorded a lot of those problems as they happened they just don't seem to be regular problems and they're definitely not regular enough to take to the dealer fortunately that's a good thing but hands down the number one thing that has bothered me the absolute most out of everything with this vehicle is the hands-free Bluetooth or lack thereof the first four or five months I had the truck every time I got in the in the car it would reliably connect from my phone to the truck and I didn't have to do or touch anything it was awesome I really like the hands-free Apple carplay connecting to the truck it was just so convenient and then suddenly a couple months ago it totally stopped working it would not connect Bluetooth hands-free Apple carplay from the phone to the truck anymore I've reset everything I've used the phone to forget the truck and nothing I did worked so here's an example of what I see so Apple carplay not connected it just it definitely won't do it at all so it says to plug in a USB cable so I have to plug in a USB cable even though I have wireless charging on this right here which is pretty sweet it'd be so convenient if it would work again so I have to plug in the cable but that has recently stopped working I can connect it and it's 50 50 whether I can get apple carplay to work on the truck I'd I don't know what's going on that is my biggest biggest frustration because I really hate the onboard navigation on this and if you follow my channel you know I just moved somewhere that I don't know all the roads uh totally new state and I need to use maps pretty often almost every day and the fact that Apple carplay won't work reliably really sucks sometimes when the cord is plugged in it'll flip between connected and disconnected back and forth over and over until finally I just disconnect the cable and I give up luckily this Mount right here is in a great location I really like it I had a video about it previously if you want to check it out and I have a link in that video for this Mount but a lot of times I end up just pulling Apple Maps or Google Maps right up on here and I follow right with my phone as I drive I know these are all first world problems kind of thing but when you spend money on a new vehicle you want it to work so there you have it that is my list of odd and interesting things that are wrong with my truck I hope you guys don't have the same kind of issues I have well I hope you guys don't have any issues with yours but luckily none of them are too too bad I mean you don't want any problems with your new vehicle that you just spent a hundred thousand dollars on or even fifty thousand dollars on but either way that is my list thanks a lot for watching guys and I'll see you on the next one bye
