- [Glen] Life is all about moving around, and how we can get from point A to point B in the quickest and even the most fun way. People are always inventing new ways to do this, and we like to check them out any chance we get. This is Glen, and today we are bringing you 15 transport vehicles that make mobility accessible and fun. - [Narrator] Number 15. - [Glen] This new electric cargo scooter, the RAPIDE 3 by Gaius Auto, was unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, and fuses together the classic three-wheel design, with the latest in battery technology. Combining the cargo capacity of a light truck, and the agility of a scooter, the RAPIDE 3 Cargo Scooter has multiple rear cargo options from refrigerated cargo holds to open beds. The RAPIDE 3 is equipped with a new type of lithium ion battery called lithium titanate, allowing it to charge up to 80% in just 15 minutes. It can haul up to 440 pounds of cargo at a top speed of 59 miles per hour, with a range with up to 65 miles from its 5.2 kilowatt hour battery. - [Narrator] Number 14. - [Glen] Having room for two people plus cargo, the Screecher is a bioelectric hybrid pedal cycle with solar charging, five levels of pedal assist, regenerative breaking, and 4 wheel drive positraction with a front and rear differential. Two 350 watt electric motors will go from zero to 15 miles per hour in five seconds. And with the pedal assist, you can probably get there quicker. This comes with a 12.8 amp power 48 volt lithium ion battery than can be charged with either solar panels or by plugging it in, and has a range of 20 miles. Available for pre-order, this has a cost of $2500 and the first shipments are expected in January of 2019. - [Narrator] Number 13. - [Glen] Designed by Japan based company Daga, the Stroke is a new electric cargo tricycle that was recently shown off at the Tokyo Wonder Festival after 18 months of development. Unlike most electric cargo bicycles, the Stroke houses a large enclosed trunk in the middle of the bike, surrounded by the frame. The trunk is removable, allowing the rider to use it on the go, like a large rolling suitcase. With two wheels in the front instead of the rear, the design means that it becomes more stable when loaded up. And with the tilting mechanism built into the frame, the trike leans into turns like a two-wheeled bicycle. - [Narrator] Number 12. - [Glen] Drymer is an innovative transportation concept of new transportation designed, produced, and mounted in the Netherlands. These gliders come standard with a 250 watt motor and have a tilting mechanism on the front two wheels for turning. The Drymer Business has several options like leather seating, an iPad mount, navigation, a USB charger for mobile devices, and a luggage compartment which is lockable. This also has an aerodynamic hood that comes in either metallic gray or a black design. The Drymer Basic is the start model from Drymer. It's possible to adjust all types of options on this model, while the Drymer Leisure comes with exclusive options including several color choices, leather seating, a portable device charger, and diverse types of navigation lights. - [Narrator] Number 11. - [Glen] The Chainless, created by Sean Chan, features a unique riding position where the cyclist doesn't sit in the middle of the bike. It also has a series of tungsten gears designed to replace the typical chain. This bike has a super light frame crafted out of aircraft grade aluminum alloy, weighs 25 pounds, and comes in a range of colors. There is also an S1F model that is foldable and takes up half the space. Unfortunately, they didn't make their Kickstarter goals and are moving on to further development. The unreleased versions are now up for sale. They have five for sale priced between $800 and $1000. - [Narrator] Number 10. - [Glen] The Velofeet was designed by Scottish inventor Manual Alvarez-Icaza. He uses the body's natural movements to propel it. The top speed is about a jogging pace. You lean to change direction and when you lean back on the seat, the brakes come on. This is ideal for use in cities and towns being more efficient than a unicycle or a bicycle and easier to use. Climbing hills may be a problem, but it is light to carry uphill and will go downhill quite quickly. Eventually, Manual wants to have a sports version for playing games like soccer or basketball. - [Narrator] Number Nine. - [Glen] Mahindra, one of the largest automotive companies in India, is building a production factory for their all electric scooter, the GenZe 2.0 in Detroit, Michigan. The GenZe 2.0 is an urban and suburban scooter that comes with a 1.6 kilowatt hour removable lithium ion battery pack. And with a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour, this gets a maximum range of 30 miles on a single charge. The battery is rated for 900 complete cycle charges. Charging takes between four to four and a half hours for a full charge from a standard 110 volt outlet. You can choose between three different speed settings using the touch screen display including sport for quicker acceleration, easy for a better range, and economy for a more extended range. - [Narrator] Number Eight. - [Glen] Hover-1 produces the Arrow, a three-wheeled single seat fully enclosed electric vehicle that has a 1500 watt motor. This has a top speed of 30 miles per hour and the 42 amp hour battery gives this a range of 43.5 miles. It's steered via scooter-like handle bars and features heating and air conditioning, full lighting and sound systems, a rear backup camera, a reverse button, an anti-theft alarm, and a small amount of cargo space behind the seat. The company is also offering an electric motor bike that has a maximum load of 265 pounds, a top speed of 34 miles per hour, and a range of 35 miles. - [Narrator] Number Seven. - [Glen] The Gran Tour Four Person Off-Road Bicycle by Berg is designed to hold two adults and two children. This has a lithium ion battery that will last two to three hours and gets a range of 12 miles. Maximum weight on this is 770 pounds and this comes with a 550 watt electric motor to aid in pedaling. The Gran Tour Family Bike is a touring pedal cycle allowing adults in the rear to steer and accommodating up to four riders. This has a maximum load of 550 pounds and gets a top speed of 10 miles per hour. Two forward seats allow passengers a full view of the surroundings while secured with lap belts, while horizontal bars accommodate shorter legs for comfort. - [Narrator] Number Six. - [Glen] The Mylo by Pim Bicycles is not a pedal-assist reverse electric bike. This one runs on the 36 volt battery that is located behind the seat only. This folding E-scooter will quickly fold up to a 15 by 20 by 41 inch package that weighs around 46 pounds. The battery will get you a range of 15 miles with an optional second battery that can be added to get you twice that. The Mylo has a 250 watt motor and three drive modes with the top drive mode giving you a maximum speed of 18 miles per hour. The Mylo is expected to sell for around $1500. - [Narrator] Number Five. - [Glen] Onyx is reintroducing a line of electric bikes taking inspiration from popular mopeds of the 70s and 80s. These have the highest torque direct-drive motors in their class with a feeling of a two-stroke engine through the whole throttle range. The RCR Cafe Blaster has 72 volts of instant torque with a range of 45 to 75 miles and a top speed of 60 miles per hour. The CTY Free Spirit has 48 volts of instant torque with a range of 25 to 40 miles and a top speed of 30 plus miles per hour. - [Narrator] Number Four. - [Glen] The Fat Trike is produced by Azub from the Czech Republic. It's made to operate off road. It comes with 26 inch fat wheels all around and has a weight capacity of 275 pounds. The rear stays are built on a T-Tris frame and widened to accommodate the fat tires and shortened to keep the frame as compact as possible. This trike can adjust to fit anyone, has a fold to flat folding system, easily removable wheels, and a seat that can be removed. You can break this down to many small parts that will fit comfortably in a vehicle for transport. The cost of these is about $5000 and with the most expensive options, the price goes to just over $6000. - [Narrator] Number Three. - [Glen] Stanford University Aerospace Engineering grad Dak Steiert created the Comanche, a gas or electric recumbent trike that is made for off-road or the street and it can fit in the back of an SUV. The gas off road model features a 6.5 horsepower engine with a top speed of 45 miles an hour. With optional upgrades up to a 400cc engine tops out a 70 miles per hour. The electric off road version has a five kilowatt motor powered by a 24 amp hour battery pack tops out a 45 miles per hour and has a range of 70 miles. - [Narrator] Number Two. - [Glen] Master Designer Lucio Marabese, the man behind the Piaggio MP3 and the Yamaha Tesseract, designed the Qooder for Swiss Company Quadro. This is the first and only vehicle in the world with four tilting wheels combining the thrill of a motor bike with the stability of a car. It offers safe and instinctive driving thanks to the double hydro pneumatic system, or hydraulic tilting system, where the four wheels tilt simultaneously always maintaining its grip on the road. This has a centrally placed 400cc engine with integrated differential for double rear traction and a low center of gravity with an all-wheel braking system. Later in 2019, Quadro is also coming out with an electric version of this bike. - [Narrator] Number One. - [Glen] The Sway Lithium is an electric scooter from Sway Motor Sports in California in partnership with German E-scooter manufacturer Govecs.
