most of it's probably mental we don't like dark places that are wet and you're claustrophobic you have a bunch of for business of it just I made a place for you this is a ventilation shaft here so we're gonna head down there and go into this mine so it's uh it's actually an escape hatch a long time ago they pump air down here too I helped it ventilate the shop so it's really cool so let's go down and see what's down there all right so we went down this vent raised over the bottom and then we took this other event raised and went down to there that level and that continues further on down all right we're gonna head down down this translation shop so I had a rope but not moving this rope before I mean obviously this isn't really a good shape the whole mine has just been rehabbed and this is emergency escape ladders that they use in the mind in case something goes wrong down there so there we are we're looking down mmm all right so welcome to Lexington we're just gonna put this on fast-forward and we'll tell you a little bit of this mines we're going down I think it's over at 300 feet to get into the bottom of it so there's a couple different ways to get in here and this is the first way we're gonna go down so they'll story this mine it was actually a operated about ten years ago by company a Chinese company called Hadouken and they shut it down because the price of gold is quite low and it's flooded in completely abandoned since then they sold it to a company called Golden Dawn minerals so these guys bought a mill and dis and they've completely revamped this whole mine there's a golden copper mine and they pumped it out and it was skidding already to go back into production and what happened was the the CEO wolf wolf wheeze wise he he had a stroke last year and he had to step down and there was nobody really run the company and the company just been kind of struggling since then to get some direction he was kind of I don't know I guess all the energy and stuff behind the company so there's been security and stuff there the mill is already there everything is all ready to go if nothing happens at this mine I don't know what's gonna happen to this company so we just want to get there to show it here before it all floods again if it doesn't work I made it all the way down the ladder and it's all good ladder really nice shape so obviously they've all rebuilt eight the whole thing all the way down it's really nice shape and so now we are gonna head down to this song so apparently it's only about sixty feet down to this other level and I think the ladders looking pretty good shape here to it let's have a look at yeah that looks like it's all been redone everything is in good shape so when we go we'll head down there so we're just heading down to the very bottom of mind here and this is uh this there's two reasons for this first of all there's an emergency escape way to get out and also they used it to ventilate air so they had a great big a huge motor up top there to suck all the arrow to up to ventilate all the air out of the mines so very modern mine and everything's right up to snuff there and in the modern mines there's a lot of air that goes through because he used diesel engines underground so all this is they had big diesel power damage doesn't need a lot of air there to keep it all clean all right the meet it down the got lost their nose event shop I suppose man way but ever you want to call it um so down here in the water and I just brought these shoes but do you think just because that boots I don't care we're down here we'll get her what no problem and we'll see what's down here pair lines the stuff down here this is as far as the the air came pretty wet down here I think it must have been bulking here recently that's the last face here so this is probably where they're working on the mind shutdown last I'm sure got her the option is good down here which is good yeah they would have drilled here next so they did drill hundred and lost this is where the mine a lot of space when the mine shut down okay so how's the bottom where the manway was now lawyers will just fly the drone over here and we'll show you the other two entrances the mind so there's two other portals that we asked west and east portal at the west portal that's kind of the main portal this is where all uh all of the machine is are apart they're there and there's a security shack there and I show up there and install the tools are there so see there was a timber sets that we're gonna go in there they've fixed all this something was all collapsed before they pumped it and that's the main entrance into the mine well there's not one and east portal I guess yeah either one of them getting through this one's got some tight turns so they actually use the east portal probably a little bit more to get in there so so we're gonna go show you around the drone here this was all completely collapse to get a lot of work this whole mind has been totally rehabilitated and it's really just ready to go I'm they were trying to raise some money you know just for operating expenses and all the works really been done now it's just a turnkey operation I think you know like all the all the timber sets have been fixed up and all the framing and everything's been done and although the dry rooms and everything basically it's just ready to go to work unfortunately they were trying to raise some more funds just first my operating capital and and and then the tragic thing happened with Wolfe there and you know and it just kind of everything kind of sitting on hold there so this is the own this is a near-term producer a goldmine and the only one in the whole area so yeah uh this is the road here in this right beside the other mind there's called the city of Paris which is a really historic gold mine that mind a lot of gold in this area and it's not refer from the US border just uh it'll probably be a less than a half a mile threat against the US border there's another big mine there called the Lone Star so I'm it's kind of a real shame you know you think you know just guys are just gonna jump in the trucks and that mines gonna start up tomorrow but we don't know the future of it is and hopefully they'll all be able to raise some money in the stock market you know the pricing shares went way down you know hopefully this mine would open up again be kind of a shame to see it all flood again because it's mine really uh it's it's a modern mind with declines and ramps so it's kind of spirals way down into the mountain there and as soon as they stopped pumping the water just keeps keeps going up and it it floods so that's what happened ten years ago when they shut it down now the whole thing filled full of water so now they've done all the work to get all the water out and fix everything up and get ready to go so we're all gonna jump bull park the drone here and we're gonna go down this portal on the east side we're gonna go through this whole mine and show you what this modern mine looks like underground outside here and do a lot of work to clean up all that rubble there and it looks like things are kind of wrapped up there's nothing going on here they just come by here every day make sure everything's secure I guess there is a scoop trap you'll notice how low those are a sofa so they you can operate both clearance areas of course and let's see what else you got here in the boneyard here they go Rock drills a jumbo so yeah you can drill the back and everything with that there's two of them there so here's something really cool this is a mine radio and it vibrates rock and puts out signals and stuff and these are the boards that they use for the for the visitors and everything is the same like in the old days everyone's got a number and a tag and they put that on later on that's for sure huh my son was so plugged in explosive boxes yeah this shot was completely wrecked yeah that's all stuff for pumping I guess yeah fine fine and we're gonna safety stuff looks like a pretty nice ambulance I got here it's all plugged in with no power here so much good what really equipped that a scripture yeah all set up oh yeah it looks like they definitely crossed all the rides and tees and everything everything's all ready to go way cool Mosley knows their employees all right so we managed to sneak your hair the reason being is this line is probably got a flood soon we really want to document it I'm going down there was almost bankrupt and they're still paying someone to pump the water out of here they're not here very often sneak in here document this mine well it's still possible to do so because the life sometimes a really cool mine but the CEO here had a stroke and the head Joel just took over in the company he just went straight downhill since then they were trying to raise some money to get this mine running again heck is it that yeah unfortunately I really can't see what that says other than used by 18 lockset resin cartridges now there you go I think it is a no not some kind of a brew or something to hold stuff in yeah she don't tell you two parts to it probably mixed together some kind of a resin to hold backup or simple is not explosives this here what that is is the two-part epoxy what they do is they drill the holes in the back and they put that epoxy in there and mix this together and makes a hard resin so this is a deep line so this is a modern-day thing which is really stupid I think that's Alice he'd have to pump all this stuff out if they don't start in the Attic further down they wouldn't had to pump them yourself there's a lot of work to heat this whole funk down there's a decline this looks like this was the explosive serum right there be any explosives in there it's pretty extensive it's got lots branches going into the deep lines in all these different places um it really looks to be a nice shape it looks like it's just ball ready it's a modern-day mine in every respect that looks like it's pretty much ready to go right back into production again it's really exciting you know because you don't need to let you know these kind of places well let me in to hear about it it's pretty cool but it'll get here and document this you know before huh I think this is all gonna be flooded again I'd be really surprised well you know who knows what's gonna happen in these mines there's a good chance it'll be cluttered again for a very long time so well coach these little branches antenna lots of sampling and stuff but we're seeing some different veins in here um you know and again I can't really comment on them that's a SERP son it's your pension eight in here you know I could say I'm not seeing anything it's really rich here but so I don't know how I'm looking at any house mmm-hmm the job just did no better than I would but again this was mostly a copper mine you know had a little bit of gold in it with copper wasn't really that spectacular pretty tough to make any money just on copper had that day's prices on an underground mine you know what's mine compromiser I remind open pit because just a lot cheaper to get the ore out so expensive to operate this guy is thick and this would join him pretty sure this joins up to the other main Abbot I see could be wrong so it seems like there's just the guy here just to pump the water up I'm just maybe for a couple hours and takes off again oh so it doesn't seem like they're not connected anymore huh well that's kind of cool get a little screwed up here button I'm sticking to the right-hand rule so you sure we'll get to everything I say looks like there's a trench going down here so the vein came down this way so this was all under water they pumped it all over there's nothing there that ladder doesn't go down that far the main level might we just blow us hmm yeah well there's a bunch of hoses some airlines and there's a pump right so looks like we're getting closer to watch more of that stuff yeah I can feel a lot cold air just screaming up in here so we think we're getting close to the outside I think that the other portal is probably this way because you see that big vent and you can see it in the aircraft shot where and the drone shot where that's where they were pumping the air out of hand we're going up so I think I don't know if we can get out this way it might have a lock on it we'll see oh so they go there's some drills operating obviously never use them saying the whole stuff I got my museum a yeah just not precondition I'm sure and we wouldn't ever touch anything that kind of stuff we're just sitting here take pictures ah we don't want to cause any problems to this company only reason for being here is to document this one before it floods and unfortunately thank you with the economic so this is likely to flood soon no there's the little buggy that they're using to drive in here see the tracking here so that's their transportation I guess looks like a neat Lomas you know we're gonna be walking we're not gonna take it you know screw thinning these stuff alright so time to see if this is actually locked or not or just wide open you know the thing is though obviously they're not pumping water up here so basically this mine is filling up so uh we definitely need to get in here and see what we can because let me try for much longer yeah nothing moving in here at all so oh cool this this is the portal here so away we go we're gonna go underneath here and it's really important that we get in here her to me anyways that we get in here now because some they're not pumping the water out of here anymore which means on one thing that the mine is gonna be abandoned but it's gonna be flooded soon so it's important for us to get in here and document this before it is flooded because you know the history and stuff and even though it is in your mind it's got a lot of history so pretty cool we can get in here and have a look at this so you know very large modern mine and no not as extensive as I maybe thought begin with with the declines and stuff there's now you can find the all the drawings of stuff are online if you just look like certain min file but yeah pretty cool modern mine and feeling all respects this mines ready you know pretty much ready to start operational I would say I mean everything's you know all the lines and everything is right up to date there's nothing sketchy in here they've got a lot of work in here so if somebody's looking to buy mine that they can jump into your head go to work right away this would be a good one now we're at the end of the very deepest part we keep going downhill so if I know anything about mines and I think they do we're gonna run into water here and the water is probably gonna be rising wow this is so I actually have a phone here I don't know it's all pretty I bet you it is I would not be surprised what's working I wouldn't grab it this is probably the newest operating mind revisited of mine that is the emergency oxygen thing of our escapee so that'd be a real cool for a mine explorer to have but I'm not gonna screw it this stuff and I'm gonna steal any of it even though money and be handy for a money stored up someone even though I don't think I'll ever be used for anything I might just rot here rust who knows not my call oh we're seeing a little bit of red staining and stuff in the or and but doesn't do spectacular so I really don't know what to say about the geology of it I'm smart striking in my opinion but I'm not a Joel just I really don't know what they're looking for I know in some areas they've done a lot of surveying but who really comment on on if I think you know there's good war in here not every little dot enough about it to say okay so we've seen some area shooter looked off danger do not answer how that's cuz it's flooded yeah we're klopse here yeah so they didn't pump that out I guess we're starting to flood they're not sure which so we got water running down here as you can see so I think we're gonna run into water here we'll see no you know the pumps are not not only the pumps not operating in here well there is a pump right there no that's the airline I'm sorry there's no pumps operate there's no lines out anything where the pumps were either okay oh my god here yeah that's probably for a pump electrical for the pump what's the electrical coming in I guess it was I didn't really notice that yeah it must have been but there's no water going out the water lines going up there's a water line there I think for most for the pump but that's all the water line they cut the rest of our line out so they're not pumping you're not planning on pumping anytime soon there's another flooded section so yeah these declines it gets deep quick so we're not gonna bother trying to get wet because as you can see it goes down with it pretty good that goes down at a pretty good clip so there's no point falling a decline here in the wet water cuz it'll be overhead pretty quick but we just want to go down on the water and see what see if there's a big pump or something that they were operating here well yeah don't let a lot of safety regulations as you can see you know on this mine you know the escape stop and then everything else they still don't know what those are hmm maybe someone could tell me alright I think we're getting the lowest part of the line here maybe my water hasn't really gone come up them up very much man I couldn't been too long since they quit pumping you know because it's flooded but there's a pretty fair sized pump there ok so there's an there's an underground bunker here this is where the lunchroom was and it's a refuge thing look at the the doors and everything in here there's power that was here it's all shut off now lights in here this one replaced where they probably don't look true maybe stored some stuff in here there was also a place if there was a sale and you know some kind of catastrophic event it's a refuge for the miners to come in here and hide probably have some supplemental um auction stuffy in here there's nothing left in here at all they've taken her being over so cleaned it up look at those big steel doors asil probably what regulations are regulations I guess so you know even though they'll everything's kind of pretty massive here this isn't really a huge mine I would say there's probably less than two miles that tie my hair all together hull and all these branches so not really huge so you know lots of geologists and working in here but certainly not dangerous to go in here yeah guys I'd be safer than going in some of the highway stuffs I mean there isn't anything looser you know everything's all in perfect condition really but you know they've done a lot of work to rebuild a salt mine yeah but you little there's not any real awesome equipment or anything up here you know so do a lot of sampling and stuff I don't know cool boat back out the same way we came in we're gonna go back yeah and we'll go down that ladder maybe see if we can get down that ladder holy ways all right so this is where the air mover started I came up from this way but it's a good thing if we followed that right-hand rule because we're going along I saw ladders this can come this way did we but the right hand rule us were that explosive things we saw so all right so we head back up to surface in the portal we came in there's a pretty good trail here so gave me this is where that ladder goes down big signal I don't talk there here's this ladder go down there's another ball to that stuff whatever it is and I definitely haven't been in here because I've never seen a sign like that in my life danger they would probably use that to to bolt up the back pulled it without both machine they had buddies have been in here well a little confused Esther well like I'm gonna get posturing I you read a lot of spend a lot of money holding the back up just whatever you were in here so this is as far as they've got on this part what's in there you know say I think that's gold you know what that'd be supposed to be a gold mine no there's a kind of a cool little raisin here but we can't go in here because it says do you know it answer so I guess we won't but I will show it to anyways oh they did some blasting on our see ya does that worth all the boulders good behind you somewhere yeah so here's a bit of a vein or something huh not much I'm not sure if they're a baller doesn't look like this because the drift goes up and the vein continues at the same elevation so maybe because it go around the corner I gotta say I'm not impressed by the mineralization I see again that doesn't necessarily mean anything what do I know I've been greatly impressed the mineralization in other mines but you know being a silver wine or whatever is just born oral ad you know it's just better looking material but obviously you know when Gold's worth a lot more than whatever so herself [Music] [Music]
