here's chapter six the White Horse comes most likely picturing the Antichrist coming a man of peace and a white horse without a bow he conquers without battle Warfare famine the black horse the chorus is the word the green the pale green horse his death great martyrdom Christians are persecuted and then the huge what we read about going on in chapter six now look at chapter seven as soon as God chose the four horsemen and all the horrors he shows this Evangelistic group coming and then we we continue with the final trumpet now let's let's step back what what does revelation mean I know what it says what does it mean well Saints love and serve God as we struggle through life so God shows us Jesus is coming to us anywhere we are now remember there's a view called the idealistic view which says that Revelation just is a general message to everyone there is a truth to that it is that that's not all it is it's far more than that but there's a lot of great messages there's one we're supposed to love and serve God as we suffer through life Jesus was walking around his church that's chapter two and three and it's true finally Jesus brings everyone safely to stand around his throne when we finish the plan he made for our lives no matter what view of the Book of Revelation you have that's what it says happens we all safely make it home lost Humanity believes in evolution more and more and more denies biblical creationism I mean I just read an article by the uh and I met some of you from Michigan by the dean of Calvin College in Grand Rapids and you know what he said he said there was a time when people believed that there was death and suffering in the world because of sin but because of evolution we realize that and he starts going into why he doesn't believe Genesis is literally true that wasn't revolutionary that's where most Christian colleges are now they don't believe in biblical creationism the way God believes in it the way God wrote it down they believe in something else that has to accommodate evolutionism evolutionary thought so what does the Book of Revelation say if Humanity believes in evolution denies biblical creationism the Creator is going to show him his power Earth dwellers that's the way God describes unsaved people they live for the Earth you know they worship the Earth Mother Gaia you know the the mother of God they worship Mother Earth so God allows natural disasters to amplify that's what we're going to see with all these seals and trumpets and bowls and by the way lost humanity is fascinated with demons so God opens the pit and lets Humanity taste the Searing torments of Satan's demons that's chapter nine and if I talk as fast as I can that's going to be next hour it's fascinating lost Humanity seeks to rule themselves and reject God's Messiah so God sends a fake Jesus that's chapter six one and two and chapter 13. he's called the beast he's the worst human who ever lives and he leads Humanity to destruction by becoming their God and that's chapters 10 through 13. lost Humanity believes in evolution and denies biblical creationism so God sends a final Divine environmental destruction what he was only doing by thirds the first round is just a third of the Earth was burned and a third of the ocean by the time we get to chapter 16 it's all every fish dies everything in the sea you know is dead all water is Tainted God the son the Creator systematically destroys Earth's atmosphere Earth's oceans and the land he sends earthquakes smoke fire red Tides global warming volcanoes tsunamis asteroids comets you name it meteors he sends it all lost Humanity wants a false religion of human achievement that's what all religions are Jesus didn't pay at all you've got to pay your part okay so God destroys religion that's chapter 17 lost Humanity wants Comfort entertainment possessions more than God this is the idolatry of covetousness so God destroys all their possessions that's chapter 18 in one moment lost Humanity rejected their creator and Redeemer so Christ returns as the judge and by the time we get to chapter 20 he casts all the rebels the greatest sin the unpardonable unforgivable sin is rejecting the Creator the Redeemer the one who gave himself for us and Saints us we believe in God so we please him in our lives and he invites us all to dwell in his satisfying sustaining presence Forever by the way even when we are in heaven we are not self-sufficient only God is self-sufficient only God Is self-existent Only God doesn't need anything we need something even in heaven we need something when we get to chapter 21 and 22 we're still eating in heaven we're still needing healing in heaven we still have to be in the presence of God it's kind of like Moses on the mountain getting the Ten Commandments while he was up there he was absorbing the glory of God and he came down and what did Moses face do when he got down on Earth from the mountain it glowed it shined what happened after a month or so it stopped shining because he was not producing that he had absorbed it from being see we're going to be with God remember the promise Emmanuel the Christmas promise I shall call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted is what God With Us and when we are with God and God is with us we are absorbing and we have endless life but it's all connected to him we don't ever get a dose and we're off on our own a lot of people kind of sound a little boring in heaven to be hanging around God all the time and it's not going to be boring it's going to be the more we're around him just like in life right now the more you're around him in prayer meditation in his word what does Paul say II Corinthians 3 18 but we all with open faces beholding is in a glass the glory of the Lord are being changed more and more into the same image you can tell people to spend time with the Lord they look more like him they act more like him they talk more like him they're full of the spirit so Revelation 6 that we're looking at right now introduces The Four Horsemen the martyrs and the cosmic storm Revelation 7 that we're going to look at brings us into these evangelists that are coming so what's the Ultimate Super Death event look at chapter 6 and verse 8. it says this I looked and behold a Pale Horse we got a little taste to this with the pandemic but remember The lethality rate of most things is not very high do you remember I showed you on the very first day of class uh the water in Fort Myers that has that that horrible pathogen in it that is uh 96 lethal 100 people get it 96 Die 4 make it they're impaired and sick and weak and you know ruined by it but they survive that's high lethality that's what's coming verse 8. a Pale Horse Revelation 6 8 the name of him that sat on it was death and Hades followed him and power was given over him over a fourth of the earth to kill was sword with Hunger with death and here it is by the beasts of the earth there are two views of this beasts being lions and tigers and leopards and snakes and you know grizzly bears or the ancient word for beasts when Anton Van Leeuwenhoek the Dutch uh optician took some optical glasses and arranged them in a tube and he made the first microscope do you remember what he said when he looked he went he ran out and and had his child go get a cup and bring water from the the ditch outside his house in Holland and the child brought a little bit of water and he put a little bit of it on a surface and he took his lenses and went like this and he exclaimed what beasties beasties look look at verse 8 the beasts of the earth there are big beasts you know elephants killer whales and they're that are deadly but not really that deadly and there are little beasts that we would call pathogens and that's what's most likely Unleashed by the way why does God do all this what is the purpose for disasters epidemics tragedies Wars earthquakes tsunamis massacres like yesterday in Louisville the disgruntled 23 year old employee that shot up the staff meeting and killed all those people the the 15th mass murder uh event of this year and terrorist attacks all over the world and all the other bad things did you know we're supposed to be answering this because people ask us all the time and they asked Jesus and what did Jesus say here I'll show you Luke 13. because there was a disaster in Jesus state they were building a tower by the pool of Siloam and it collapsed it just happened killed people chapter 13 those were present the season some told them about the galleons whose blood pilot had mingled with their sacrifices and Jesus said do you suppose and that was another disaster these people were bringing their lambs to the temple and there was a little rabble rousing and so they got a little violent and so the Romans came in and quelled it and they killed him because there was no Toleration for Rebellion and their blood was spilled on their sacrifices and Jesus said to them do you think those galileans were worse sinners in all their galileans because they suffered you know all people think that if if a tragedy or War a terrorist attack or you know something happens probably it's because they deserve it Jesus said no not in that sense that that they were worse than everybody else that's why they got killed verse three I tell you unless you repent you're going to also perish they just perished you're going to perish they just are in the presence of God and if they're still wearing all their sins they're going to pay for them forever in hell Jesus talked more about hell than anybody else Jesus talked more about hell than he did about heaven which is interesting Jesus said why are there disasters why are there tragedies it's an opportunity for people to change their mind about God and repent they should feel insecure they should feel fragile they should feel temporary they should feel kind of like there possibly something could happen to me I didn't die in the massacre in Louisville yesterday so what should I do I should repent and you can read the rest okay by the way God knows our Length of days look at Revelation 6 10. now this is a fascinating I think all of you need to start dealing with the tension between our limited understanding of everything and God's complete knowledge look at chapter 6 verse 10. and they cried this is the martyrs uh that starts in verse nine the fifth seal I saw under the altar The Souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for his testimony which they held so these are people being killed by the the horror of the tribulation and the Antichrist and everything they cried with a loud voice saying how long O Lord holy and true until you judge an avenge our blood on those who dwell on the Earth and then a white robe was given to each of them and it was said to them that they should rest a little longer until the number of their fellow servants and their Brethren who what does it say in verse 11. who would be killed only God knows our Length of days should be 10 and 11 there and then we get to verse 12. look at this then I looked and he opened The Sixth Seal and there was a great earthquake and boom boom boom boom you can run but you can't hide I mean if you read that comb that incredible ending of Revelation 6. the biggest earthquake in Earth's history strikes everywhere at once you know some people were feeling kind of safe they hadn't had any of that bad stuff and it comes why is all this in Revelation why the church got this message knowing a fourth of everybody on Earth and sometime in the future is going to die in a singular event it's because we have the antidote life is fragile death is inevitable everyone you meet is going to die unless in a moment in the twinkling of the eye they've come to Christ and they're taken out in the Rapture but everyone all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God life is fragile uh every year some super athletic football player doesn't drink enough water and dehydrates and dies in practice or a game and all these things happen life is fragile death is inevitable Christ is the only answer Global deaths last year two people die every second seven thousand every hour 163 000 will die today and over 60 million people either die with their sins on Christ like one of the thieves on the cross the thief that went to heaven all of his sins were taken and put on Jesus Christ the other Thief we just celebrated this right this is resurrection weekend what a weekend to talk about this one Thief died with his sins on him he had all his sins with him when he died he plunged immediately into Hades he suffered pain and started realizing it was never going to end the other one who died they were both equally sinners but one died with all of his sins taken off and put on Christ and one died with all of his Sins not taken off and left on him there are only two kinds of people in the world those who have Christ those that don't those who have Christ all their sins have been transferred to Jesus who died and suffered and bled and paid the price for them all the rest of those have no second chance if they die with their sins on them they forever pay for those sins uh oh space will shake the skies are torn asunder I'm going to show you pictures of this it's coming up but all this stuff is repeated in chapter 8 and the lamb becomes the lion it's so interesting you know Jesus is the meek and Mild man but boy he becomes goes from a lamb to a lion Bonnie and I early on in our marriage we started out remember she was earning sixty thousand I was earning thirty thousand and we would go to breakfast every morning we were newlyweds we had made a commitment we were going to read the Bible together every day so we would read the Bible every day we would drive downtown Los Angeles about 5 30 in the morning she had to go to work I had to go to work and so we got up early we could have all slept in but I wanted to read the Bible and and I love spending time with her so we would go the same place we went to a restaurant it's still at 9th and Figueroa it's called the pantry and we were uh totally unaware of everybody around us we were so in love by the way if you have a Biblical marriage that continues I'm often this way and uh so it's wonderful to still be I always tell people we're still on our honeymoon we're still newlyweds and all this kind of stuff like that but we were reading the Bible to each other and the way we do it is we would read one chapter of the New Testament and I would read a few verses and body would eat for a little while then I'd turn the Bible around and she'd read a few verses and I would eat for a while and and we would pray holding hands before we ate and then when we got done reading we'd hold hands and talk and then finally I had to take her to her job being a legal secretary and I had to go do my job so we did that for three weeks in a row I didn't even realize the same guy was waiting on us that's how terrible I was in love and so we sat in the same restaurant every morning because it was right by where Bonnie worked we ate the 99 cent breakfast which was 40 years ago that used to be 99 Cents and we would read the Bible and everything and finally after three weeks this guy came and leaned over and and I alluded to this first hour or the first week he leaned over and said to us I am a cocaine addict I thought what does he think I am in confessional a priest or something why are you telling me that he leaned over he was he had the big red nose when you snort coke your capillaries expand huge and you had a gigantic red runny cocaine snorting nose so I knew he was I mean everybody knew he snored a cocaine but he leans over and says I snort cocaine he says wears off in about an hour here's the punchline he looked at Bonnie and me and he said what are you two on he said you have been high every time you come to breakfast I'd like to know what drug you have because I want that drug you see everybody in the world knows they're missing something the spirit of God is is causing them to have a decreasing capacity for enjoying their sin they're looking for something and what do they look for cocaine or money or you know being the perfect Instagram person you know photoshopped so everybody adores you until they see you and you're not what you were and you know I mean they live for something and that pantry man what are you on I'll tell you what we were on John 7 37. you know what the Bible says out of view will flow Rivers of life-giving water we were high kind of like the people on the day of Pentecost where they thought they were drunk it's very similar Christians are always thought to be on something because they're so abnormally joyful in a very unjoyful World okay that was last hour took me that long to get through that now let's go to this hour you know we this is great because I just picked up with uh showing you chapter seven you know those evangelists coming why does God send 144 000 Jewish evangelists into the world because the world is going to hell fast during the tribulation you remember where we are and and I this is going to be on all your quizzes and tests we're right here we're in the tribulation time uh we've just finished off uh uh first hour we were up there looking at the throne and then we slipped into this but now we're going to be in the tribulation for quite a while uh the tribulation is when the hammer Comes Down When God says I'm not going to wait anymore why does God tell the church about this why did he spend to people suffering persecution at the Roman Empire why did he do that because he said you're not you're not there yet but the world is going to get darker you think your world is dark now you think that that Rome is chasing you down and hunting you it's going to get worse at the end so I'm going to show you that the same message Christ taught two generations ago that the first generation Church lived that's written about in the gospels that you've only read about I'm coming down to see if you're taking my word and believing it and living like it's true well this is what his word said if this encouraged the early Saints God says in chapter 6 I'm going to unfold this title deed and then he pauses this is what we call one of those parenthetical times in Revelation this first one we're bumping into so I'll explain it God here in chapter 7 and again in chapter 10 and then again in chapter 12 and then again you know he's he pauses watching the action and steps back and explains something he's explaining in chapter 7 this that God who temporarily set aside Israel they denied Christ they crucified Christ God temporarily sets them aside by the way that's the horrible error of covenantal theology reformed Christian reform Dutch reformed you know presbyterianism they have a flaw biblically do you know what it is they think that God got rid of in fact Martin Luther he was one of them a covenantalist you know what Martin Luther wrote he wrote a a little book and it was called to the German nobility what a title to the German nobility you know what it said I mean you want to know the short Cliff Notes version kill the Jews they killed Christ you can kill them that was Adolf Hitler's favorite book written by Martin Luther who believed God was done with the Jews they were Christ killers they have no future in fact most reformed people say that that Israel today has nothing to do with the Bible nothing for all it's just a chance that they live in the same land etc etc so I'm my goal is only to say this God temporarily set aside the Jews but boy are they coming back they are going to be front and center and they are going to be actually the evangelists they were always supposed to be only there's going to be 144 000 Apostle Pauls not just one can you imagine that look how much trouble one caused he turned the whole world upside down they're going to be 144 000 just as zealous and focused and completely checking in with God every day which is what all of us are supposed to be and God just like he wants to right now with us he's going to unbelievably work with them well let's watch that happen uh God is always the Savior look at Revelation 7 and verse 1. after these things I saw four Angels standing at the Four Corners of the Earth holding the Four Winds of the earth that the wind should not blow another Angel ascended from the East having to seal the Living God and he cried with a loud voice and he said don't harm the Earth of the sea verse three uh do not harm the Earth to sear the trees to have sealed the Servants of God and on and I goes what is going on here God it's the parenthesis it's the pause God is always a savior and God is showing us that before he kills a fourth of all the people at once on Earth he's going to send these Commandos you want to be in Special Forces these are the ultimate special forces the 144 000 are God the savior's personal Representatives in the future guess what we are God's current special Representatives they are going to be invulnerable we're invulnerable till we finish his plan so are they only they're going to go through the worst time Earth's ever known um the it's interesting it says holding the Four Winds of the earth that it should not blow on the earth did you know that there's it's interesting verse one talks about the fact that God controls the air and the um wind and everything do you know what God told Daniel to tell Belta Shazer in chapter 5. of Daniels I know you have Daniel I think Paul Weaver teaches that my favorite verse is 5 23 where it says the god who holds your life's breath in his hands right here in revelation God causes the wind to stop blowing boy is that scare people you don't realize how much the the slow movement of air keeps all the dust from not building up and all the smells from not building up and it just kind of cools us off and everything there are several times in Revelation where God stops the engine of atmospheric movement and it scares people because he's reminding him he is the savior he holds everyone's life's breath now just for a second think about what I mean by this did you know God the Savior has always had his Representatives first God himself he's the one that's revealing himself looking for Adam and Eve then Adam and Eve are taught about salvation about how they have to God slew animals as their substitute Enoch begins Walking with God preaching then Noah becomes the next creature of righteousness see this is through Genesis 3 through 5 but now in Genesis 6 through 10 Noah then the Patriarchs start representing God and talking about him and explaining him Abraham Isaac and Jacob that takes us through the end uh and Joseph and on and on through the end of Genesis then the nation of Israel was supposed to be gods evangelists they were supposed to invite All Nations to know about the true and living God and they didn't want to do it so the Lord sets him aside and in the New Testament we introduced I mean in the gospels even Jesus is still seeking Israel to do their job and they wouldn't the church takes over God temporarily sets aside Israel and the church all the way through Revelation 5 are his vehicle but the 144 thousand starting at the end of chapter six and into through chapter 14 where they're taken out of the world then God sends in the two witnesses then he sends in the gospel Angel chapter 14-19 then the millennial Temple we're going to talk about that becomes an evangelism Center and finally God doesn't need any Temple doesn't need any of that because he himself is with us but look at verse 2. it said or verse three now I'm I'm uh reading Revelation 7 3 and I want you to think about this do not harm the Earth to see or the trees until we have sealed the Servants of our God in their foreheads what does the Antichrist do with his servants they get either on their forehead or on their right hand what a mark that's only Satan copying what God does did you know God always seals you say how do you know that well I'm glad you asked that look at Second Corinthians chapter one for a second let me get my Bible to II Corinthians with you second Corinthians chapter one verse 21 now he who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us as God who also has sealed us what is that and given us the spirit in our hearts as a guarantee God always seals his own children by his holy spirit we're sealed by the holy spirit that means Satan cannot indwell us he can't influence us he can't trouble us he can do bad things but he can't come inside like he did inside of Judas Judas was filled with the Devil and couldn't I mean he he became a tool in Satan's hand and Jesus looked at him and said you know how horrible even even in that Jesus offered himself to him but it was Satan had entered him it's too late but God always seals his own children let me just talk about that for a second because the 144 000 are Jews from the 12 tribes what are the 12 tribes God knows who they are the 12 tribes are hardly ever mentioned the same way when you look in the scripture first they're mentioned in Genesis as the 12 sons of Jacob then they're they're mentioned in the conquest when Joseph's two sons manasse and Ephraim take the place of Joseph Joseph no longer is one of the 12 tribes he should have been there should have been a tribe of Joseph there was never a tribe of Joseph there became tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim and so immediately the 12 tribes changed from being the 12 sons of Jacob to being the ten sons of Jacob and two grandsons of Jacob and then what we have is you know the the danites in judges you've probably study judges go off and they're so bad God kills all of them but 600 and they start over and so the day nights are are kind of moved out and they aren't even represented in some of these lists and so don't worry about the 12 tribes God knows which group it's kind of like an alphabet he uses there are about 15 of them and he uses the 12 at the current time what we're supposed to think about from chapter seven and the reason it's in the Bible for us today who are not going to be in the tribulation is why does God pick those 144 000 and what does he do to them what he does to them is he seals them and here's the challenge beware of ever grieving the holy spirit of God who seals us that's probably the most frequent thing that Christians do these days we grieve and quench the Holy Spirit the holy spirit is very emotional and delicate he wants us to not grieve and if we keep grieving him we quench him why do some Believers not feel like getting into the word have you ever felt like got to memorize that verse for class memorize that verse you get to put into your heart the very word of God and it will change you and you don't really feel like doing it why would you not feel like doing that why would you not feel saved well here's why Ephesians 4 30. um let me since I'm already in First Corinthians I'll go to Ephesians 4 30 with you look what it says and do not Ephesians 4 30 grieve the holy spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption why do Christians not feel safe why why do they feel like not getting in the word because flesh LED living Grieves and ultimately if if you keep on grieving quenches this is the Greek word oh my it means douses distinguishes puts out the flame flesh-led living Grieves for a while then ultimately quenches the Holy Spirit now here's the big question are you spirit-led today or flesh LED follow-up question that is how do you even know okay let's look at what it says in Galatians I mean we have a whole half of a chapter on this Galatians 5 16-26 says here's what a spirit-led person looks like they have love and joy and peace and long-suffering and kindness and goodness and faithfulness we know that list those are attitudes what are the actions of their life their word eating their bold Witnesses they're generous givers they have personal discipline in their life they're just kind of like the model Christian that's what spirit-led people look like what are flesh-led people well again Galatians 5 gives us a list of the attitudes it's a very parallel passage the attitudes of the flesh are anger and wrath and anxiety and fear and lustfulness and selfishness and irritatedness and bitterness those are attitudes what do they lead to actions lying stealing immorality laziness sarcasm you can you can usually tell God Says by what's in your heart by what comes out remember Jesus said out the out of the the it's not what you eat but it's what comes out of you that defiles you it's not the food but it's the words that come out of you that show the condition of your heart what what's the condition of a flesh-led life sarcasm erratic life you know they're kind of like this restlessness total self-focus that's a Fleshlight okay so what what happens well when filled and lead and controlled by the Holy Spirit the spirit-led life these attitudes and emotions are revealed there's peacefulness in my life there is a joy in my life what is Joy it's when I get detached from my circumstances most people live completely tied to their circumstances they get a new car they feel great you know they have a flat tire they feel awful they get a new outfit they feel great they get they tear it they feel awful they're just totally tied to all their they get money they're happy they lose money they're sad it's just total tied to emotions what is the fruit of the spirit of Joy the Holy Spirit detaches us from our emotions it's the most amazing way to live and we're attached to him so we have joy and peace and hope we see God's hand in our life we have love we're not living for ourselves we have boldness we were bought at a price to glorify him we have Holiness that means we want to be useful we want to stay away from sin we have a passion focused we're sensitive to people we're like Jesus we're very compassionate we're self-sacrificing we're hungering from the word remember Jesus said it's more than our necessary food we can't live without every word of God and we hate sin like God does what happens when we have the flesh LED life well when Latin controlled by the flesh these attitudes start showing up and emotions anxiety fear selfishness lethargy don't want to do anything disinterest in the word of God no passion for the lost you say the Lost what about me you know I'm having a hard day we're irritable we're bitter we're Moody that's what it's like when we're controlled by the Flesh and by the way that's what Christians are called to do we're supposed to live in community and when you are around someone their emotions immediately betray who's leading them the emotions that they show of either joy and peace and and the the the wonderful reflection of Christ the Holy Spirit brings or all the manifestations and attitudes and actions of the flesh we can see and we know immediately whether the Holy Spirit or our fallen flesh is leading us the spirit-led life starts with the spirit-led Mind Romans 7 Galatians 5 Ephesians 5 and Colossians 3 talk about that and our mind rules our emotions you see it depends on which direction we're going is our mind filled with the word reminding our emotions how they're supposed to respond with love and joy and peace and gentleness and kindness and patience and boldness and long suffering and our body usually follows our emotions and so our body denies in godliness avoids sin and focuses on serving God but look how different it is when our flesh is running the show we don't have time for God and we don't we only care about ourself and so our body becomes restless and undisciplined and appetite driven and less filled and we're never satisfied and we're defeated by sins which makes us volatile and lethargic and anxious and angry and troubled and distracted and impure and on and on and on you could go and the Bible says a spirit quench mind has no stability no boldness no insights no hunger no joy aimless no confidence and empty so what's the answer it's always the same repent a change of mind that leads to a change of behavior say Lord I don't want to act like a flesh-led person I want your spirit well basically Israel designed look at verse 4 back to revelation Israel was designed in verse 4 to be God's Witnesses and that's why we have this list verse 5 the tribe of Judah the tribe of Reuben the tribe of God Asher naturally Manasseh Simeon levite and look who shows up for the first time in verse 12 the tribe of Joseph wow the tribe of Joseph instead of manasse and Ephraim but what do they do the final super evangelism event they go into the whole world and they are able you talk about the gift of tongues some people say gift of tongues is ceased well it ceased doing what it did in the early time of the New Testament era but boy is it coming back do you remember what Peter said on a day of Pentecost there's coming a day with blood and fire remember all that stuff he quotes from Joel and talking about a future day when the Sons and Daughters of Israel are going to speak it wasn't just on the day of Pentecost they're going to be doing it in the tribulation they're going to know every language of every person on Earth they cover the Earth they personally exhort every living person on Earth to come to Christ God is a savior he wants them to come to Salvation there's a super evangelism event look at it verse 9 after all these things after the 144 000 launch out Behold a great multitude which no one could number of all Nations and tribes and peoples and tongues standing Before the Throne before the lamb clothed with white robes and palm branches saying verse 10 salvation belongs to our God verse 11. and the angels fell on their faces in worshiped and on and on we go who are they verse 14 the end of verse 14. these are the ones who come out of the Great Tribulation and have washed their ropes did you know as these evangelists are going it's like they're leading people to Christ in the Antichrist is coming right behind and killing them actually beheading them that's what it says they they have the souls of those beheaded the martyrs for their faith in Christ interesting thought what is the main way that Islamic terrorists execute people yeah beheading isn't it interesting that the revived Roman Empire the Antichrist leads a resurrected Roman Empire do you remember all the pictures I've shown you the Roman Empire it's all of uh Mediterranean Northern Mediterranean Europe and Northern Mediterranean Africa and the Middle East did you know today the geographic area of the Roman Empire is about 70 percent Muslim and it's growing in the next 15 years demographics tell us at the current birth rate of Europe compared to the migrants to Europe from the Arab Spring Northern Africa and the Middle East they are having the average family of six to eight the Europeans are having an average family of 1.7 in 15 to 20 years Europe will be majority Muslim Northern Africa it is the Middle East already is so the revived Roman Empire is probably Muslim that would explain why the Antichrist beheads everybody in the tribulation uh but verse 10 salvation is of the Lord I want to tell you one of the wonderful things that's going on in this world is God is saving people Bonnie and I were pastoring our first senior pastor was in Rhode Island I I didn't know any better so I started teaching Through the Bible verse by verse I started in first Thessalonians and I started teaching and in first Thessalonians you get to chapter four and it talks about sanctification and sexual Purity and I started teaching on that and then I went to Romans 1 and talked about all the forms of impurity and I happened to mention homosexuality boy did that light a fire that church was real close to the largest gay community in the country at that time which wasn't in California it was in the whole Boston area and so they began you know the community began troubling our church and one of the things they did Bonnie and I were I had this sweet little family of little children we lived in a 150 year old parsonage that didn't have hallways because it was heated by fireplaces in the old days and they were just rooms that you walk through to get the other ones and so our phone was on the wall phones used to be stationary and at 2 am every morning the phone would ring and this person would would scream every obscene word they could think of on the phone and then hang up so what I started doing is waking up at 1 55 and I'd go and stand and it would go Ding and I'd pull it off because I didn't want kids to wake up and cry all night long so I would pick it up and I'd say yep and he'd go and he'd hang up so I'd hang up so this went on for weeks concurrent on Sunday when I would teach the Bible I would always notice one person every a man came in late every service and sat in the very back row of the balcony and when I said in conclusion he would get up from the balcony and leave before I finished so he didn't want to ever be in contact so I worked out a deal with the chairman of the elders I never said in conclusion I just kept teaching and I walked down the aisle and I said Norm's going to close service in prayer and I stood at the only exit to the balcony and this guy came down looking down to the floor like this and I stood in front of him so he moved over so I stood in front of him I said and finally I stood and filled the the passageway said hello he said hello I said I recognize your voice I've I've heard that voice at 2 A.M every morning and that broke the ice and I was able to talk to him not that moment but over the next few weeks and found out that that he was a homosexual man who had had 600 sexual partners and some of them infected him with HIV he was full-blown AIDS he found out about it going to our Clinic we had a free testing clinic they used to have it for the government did it churches did it and we did testing and gave them their sealed you know results and he got angry at our church because we told him he was dying of AIDS even though it was because he had contracted it on his own so so I shared the gospel he was one of the angriest people he told me that he told me all kinds of stories short of it is this he gloriously came to Christ gloriously you should have heard him pray it was like the weight of all the sins of his life he just he went oh God thank you I mean he just wow he couldn't believe Jesus forgave him we wanted to baptize him in the evening service it was a great service except the poor Elders no one knew anything about AIDS back then this is in the 80s and so I baptized everybody else and they made him the last one they made me wear fishing you know those rubber boots that people wear when they go fishing they told me you've got to wear those you might get AIDS from the water so I wore a you know a robe black robe so I couldn't see I was wearing waders underneath while he was giving everyone had to give their testimony of Salvation it was a wonderful testimony while he was given it I heard the sound of something being poured into baptistry the 80 year old chairman of the elders was dumping Clorox where no one could see into the water he was hoping to save my life by killing the AIDS virus in the water when this guy went under and spit you know some AIDS out or whatever that was I mean but in the midst of all that this man gloriously came to Christ and until he died of AIDS he went back to his own 600 and shared with them what a wonderful change I am no longer guilty I'm no longer fearful I'm no longer bitter and all that see we don't realize the power of the gospel because there are certain people we think are too bad you ought to share the gospel the ones you think are too bad well people get saved after the Rapture in huge numbers you ever hear about someone this myth that if you ever heard the gospel you'll never get saved that is an evangelism tactic trying to make you come forward in the service it doesn't say that in the Bible most of the world is going to hear the gospel before Christ returns because I know just what our website is doing and and I see the Google shows me every country on Earth and what cities people are watching The Gospel in many people are going to come to Christ when they start seeing what's happening God is with us forever that's how Revelation ends well let's go to chapter 8 because we only have four minutes and I want to get you into chapter eight it says this in verse 1. and you open the seventh seal these are the same seals of the same scroll that was on the arm of the Throne of the Majesty on high and Jesus is opening so he is Jesus when he Jesus opens the seventh seal there's silence in heaven for a half hour wow the silence means god Waits it's almost like God is saying I sent 144 000. I'm about ready to unleash hell on Earth are you going to respond see it's God is giving time for the world to repent what are the lessons Jesus is so patient uh verse three look at verse three he's still taking the prayers of all the saints and he's waiting before he unleashes that wrath and that those prayers are mixed with the incense and God's plan is inescapable he only Waits a half hour for them to repent and then he starts throwing out the Wrath and by the way verse 2 I saw the seven angels who stand before God to them were given the seven trumpets the trumpets are going to say that the birth pains that Jesus said were going to be ramping up now they're going full crescendo the whole prayer thing means God pray God listens to our prayers he collects them I already told you about that but when those trumpets start blowing I call them the trumpets of Doom it's time to flee the Earth dwellers have a bad ending that word is found seven times Earth dwellers what they face is this Jesus already says it Luke 21 11 and 25 and 26 say these things there will be great earthquakes in various places famines pestilence fearful sights Great Signs verse 26 people's hearts will fail them from Fear what does God do he strikes the environment mankind protects that's really the simplest way of saying what these trumpets are God shows what he can do with the oceans and he turns them to blood God shows how fragile our Air Supply really is and even solar power that were quickly changing to gets hit so do you see what's going on one third of green grass and trees are burned one-third of the seeds are polluted one-third of fresh water is poison one-third the sun dials back and then we get to chapter nine but you notice it's only one-third why because God is not willing then he should perish he's still got evangelism going on lost Humanity believes in evolution denies biblical creationism so Creator shows him his power and natural disasters amplify what are just a couple that in our in your generation have come out these things we didn't even know about these things they're called NEOS near eth near Earth objects this is actually a representation of asteroid Florence NASA said it was the largest near-earth object and what it did is it came between the Earth and the Moon so if I'm the Moon look at that thing they've never had one that we knew about what they found out is these things come around all the time they just never had the technology to know it so now people are going crazy and they're trying to invent Rockets to you know blow these things up but one of them during the tribulation is going to fall from Heaven it's going to look the whole world's going to watch this thing looking like a flaming star and then the Sun the fourth trumpet is the sun darkened the Earth will become scorched by the Sun but then it'll get darker how can you have both probably a massive sunspot and all that happens for this reason that God wants to send these evangelists and get people's attention
