[Music] [Music] hello well it's hot again so i've got to wear this silly hat to stop my solar panel from burning now as i told you last time we're we're moving but we're not moving in an amazingly sort of efficient way but we do have to get water and stuff so while we're stuck around waiting to have our engine delivered and then installed we still have to put around and do the dailies so now my belly's full and the sun's well and truly out we need water so we're gonna go and get some water today and then i think a change of scenery will do is good [Music] so [Music] [Applause] so we're on the move and if i'm honest it's nice to be moving ever since we set foot on badger apart from the initial 10 days quarantine we've always been going somewhere we've always had had the plan to head somewhere even in the short term but at the moment i'm finding it difficult to talk without hand gestures so hopefully i won't crash but at the moment we have to be here until the engine that we've ordered gets delivered and there's a bit of a lead time of four possibly six weeks so we're here it's been a week since they ordered it and if we look it only another three weeks before it arrives and we can be begin the installation process but it leaves us in a bit of a weird one because we've just kind of got to hang out in this area for the next possibly five weeks so [Music] moving for water today is a good excuse to try and find maybe another little spot and there's three arms really uh because this canal meets the coventry so we can go back and forth [Music] [Music] now the way we approach this is we try to combine the necessities uh with changing location at the same time now if we've got a fill up with water which we'll need to do usually every four or five days um and also empty the waste both um unmentionable human waste and just regular garbage we try and combine that with the shopping run at the same time so here at faisal marina just gonna empty the waste of the toilet and top it with water and for a change i'll flip a coin when we get to the junction heads we go left and tails we go right coming up to phase the junction now so left or right left or right [Music] well i think that's goodbye to the sunshine so we're trapped in here now there's no way i'm going out in this one room over there for camille and one room in here for me make best use of our time camille's got a little project that she's getting on with over there i'll leave her to that for the time being i'm going to spend the time now sifting through a lot of the photographs that we've taken the still shots and they've been documenting the journey so far sift through those for a little bit so i can show you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] now we had many diesel engine options open to us and some would have been delivered quicker than the one we've ordered with the name that kept on coming up with people who weren't even trying to sell as an engine uh was the beta marine option it seemed to be the most trusted of all the options that were available to us and the beta marine is essentially a diesel uh japanese kubota engine that's been marinis so that it can be used in a boat it comes with its own gearbox which is good because ours is coupled and many other things so that's the direction that we've chosen to come in now we've got a bit of a lead time as i explained earlier uh before that engine even arrives so in the time between now and then the projects that we need to continue to do is the rust that i've started to address uh looking pockets of it that i've noticed under the paint work on the roof so i've been stripping the paintwork back and treating the rust and we've set the ball rolling it's raining we've set the ball rolling for a uh to purchase a solid fuel stove so that we're prepared for the winter as well so that's what we're going to be doing over the next few weeks um i hope you've enjoyed today's episode it's a bit bit of a mishmash but there's not a lot we can do as far as traveling is concerned it's just the daily routine and waiting for our engine and making plans for the projects that we've got um personal and also for the boat so cheers for that see you next week
