12 MUST DO things on Day One at YOSEMITE (2021)

if you're planning on visiting the beautiful yosemite national park this is 12 must-dos on your first day it's about 6 30 a.m and we are heading to yosemite number one get there early [Music] no matter which entrance you come through there may be a line especially in peak seasons make sure you get there early number two don't forget your credit card yosemite only accepts credit cards so don't forget it they do not take cash number three use the bathrooms at the entrance of the park it's going to take you about an hour and a half to get to yosemite village from the entrance [Music] number four pull off at el capitan you might know this granite monolith from the movie free solo where alex honald climbed it without a rope if you look to your left you will see horsetail falls where the famous firefall happens number five park in yosemite village this is the center of yosemite valley [Music] number six visit the village store [Music] this is a great grocery store and gift shop that you can buy really cool gifts for your friends and also fresh produce and different things you may have forgot while camping [Music] number seven head over to the loft cafe this is a great place to stop for lunch and even a beer they have stuff like pizza sandwiches and any snacks to get you through your next hike number eight fill your water bottle with fresh yosemite water that's delicious number nine visit the park information tent this might be the most important one run your plans by a park ranger to see what's open for the day and which is the best routes to take number 10 hike lower or upper yosemite falls the access to this is really easy from yosemite village and it's one of the most beautiful hikes in the whole park if you're looking for a light hike the lower falls are really easy takes about 30 to 40 minutes if you're looking for a more rigorous hike the upper falls takes about six to seven hours [Music] number 11 take a dip in one of the many rivers or streams throughout yosemite note the water is really cold and make sure there are no strong currents and it is safe to do so [Music] and finally number 12 tunnel view at sunset this is one of the best views at yosemite and is very easy to access i highly recommend parking and seeing this at sunset it's very romantic and absolutely amazing i hope this video helped you have a better first day at yosemite just remember to leave it better than you found it [Music] you
