so tomorrow is my birthday and today I'm going to introduce you all to someone who's an expert on them she just turned 105 and she's in our audience today please welcome Edith kirkmeyer [Applause] [Music] wow that's hello Eden hello wow this is something to follow yeah that last act yeah following a sloth is tough to do but you can do it you can do it um I I can't even believe that I'm sitting talking to you and the energy that you have at 105 I mean I couldn't believe when they told me I was going to meet somebody 5 and that you're still you're driving still yeah I got my license renewed this morning and I passed she's never run I just found out that I'm the oldest living driver yes in California and maybe in the United States I would think so yes I would think I would think everywhere so and you've never had a ticket you've never had an accident that's right completely so and you're just so vibrant and I guess everyone must ask you this but what's your secret what do you do that just keeps you so alert and aware I do have a secret what is it but if I tell it then it won't be a secret yeah that's true well I would think having a sense of humor is the secret well I would say I've always been very happy I've had a happy marriage I've got a wonderful family I think positive that's really important uh if something happens I can't do anything about it so I don't let it bother me that's amazing and you were married for 70 years right almost 70 years yes and he was 100 how old was he when he passed away it's 98 98 wow so I robbed the Cradle yeah two years older and so you you have a large family right I have two son two children six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren wow wow amazing you're on Facebook right yes I am you're on Facebook so do you like do you because some people think technology is keeping us apart and no one talks anymore do you do you are you on oh I don't think that at all uh I think technology is the thing that's growing and keeping people young and alive and active right um all right you have a important your birthday was Tuesday right is that right yesterday yesterday so uh and you have a birthday wish that I would like to help you fulfill tell everybody your birthday wish uh my birthday wish is that I will get 105,000 people on my on my Facebook uh to honor and to help direct relief International which is my favorite charity all right and we want to help that happen so go to our website and help Edith's birthday wish come true please I I know we can help make that happen because it's a good charity and uh just go to our website and we'll do that and I got you something happy birthday to Happ bir all right don't even attempt to blow them out that's a lot of candles happy birthday I'm so happy to have met you and you're amazing you're an inspiration think positively and don't let stuff bother you when you can't do anything about it that's the thing to remember thank you so much Edith we'll be right back [Applause]
