[Music] since the first Incredibles movie came out in 2004 movie fans everywhere have become obsessed with their favorite super family and loved to come up with wild theories about them since the Incredibles to raise the bar even higher earlier this year there are even more amazing ideas that might just make you rethink the entire thing you know what's even more incredible the latest content from screen rants hit the red subscribe button to stay up to date with all of our newest content Evil Edna Edna the costume designer extraordinaire quickly became a fan favorite from the moment she appeared on screen that being said there seems like there might be something a little off about her and one fan on reddit thinks they have an explanation for her eccentricity they believe Edna was once a supervillain herself and have some pretty good points to back it up she mentions at one point they shouldn't dwell on the past which seems pretty convenient for someone who has some skeletons in her closet that she doesn't want brought ah also Edna has the habit of getting a little too excited at seeing the heroes in danger and getting into sticky situations and not in a hurry they saved the world again kind of way and take a look around her facility which is pretty extreme for the likes of a fashion designer Edna's got a ton of pyrotechnics in her giant cement cavern she calls home complete with an imposing gate and armed guards now maybe she's just protective and a little paranoid but maybe she also just vibes with that Lex Luthor aesthetic speaking of her guards she doesn't seem to like them all that much almost like they were placed there not to keep enemies out but to keep Edna in there's definitely more to Aetna than meets the eye violets origins violet is very much a teenage girl she's shy and moody she's still figuring out her powers and she's just a little touch God with her long black hair but maybe there's more going on with her than we think some fans had the idea that violet is actually not mr. Incredibles Dadar but that her real dad is snug another deceased superhero with similar jet-black hair mr. incredible is blond and mrs. incredible as a redhead so violets hair color must have come from somewhere if not a box from the pharmacy these fans think in the early years when the Incredibles family moved around a lot for Bob's work Helen got a little lonely and turned to Snug for comfort after all Helen keeps a framed picture of herself with snug in their bedroom soap there's obviously some serious feelings going on there there are no pictures of Bob with any of his friends or Co supers seems a little too convenient violet is different than her family as well and while yes she's a teenage girl she really does stick out from her brothers in looks and attitude lastly just take a second to check out the shape of violets head which is totally different than either of her parents and actually looks a lot like snugs syndrome's backers the government in the world of the Incredibles is a shady shady operation first they outlaw supers entirely in an effort to control them and make it impossible for them to use their powers even for good second there are agents assigned to track and monitor each super to make sure that they never reveal themselves to the world or abuse their powers in any way but if they are keeping such a watchful eye on all of the supers then how is it possible Syndrome was able to lead a handful of them to his Island never to be seen again according to some fans it's because the government has been in on syndromes planned the entire time not only that but they'd actually been allowing him to kidnap and carry out his experiments on the supers in order to gain new technology from him the government would save the time and money that it would take to track and protect the Troublesome supers anyway it seems all too likely that Syndrome and the government had been working together that they leave him and his work alone in order to gain without turning him in like us leaving that big spider in the corner of the kitchen we may not like it but darn it if it doesn't take care of all the smaller pests oh we don't have to Edna in on it but while the government may have been supporting syndrome all along there is someone who fans believe is actually responsible for his ultimate demise and that person again is Edna everyone remembers Ed in a speech to mr. incredible about why she won't design capes for supers anymore but one glance at syndrome and we can see that he is rocking a cape of his very own in the dangers of capes montage we see a young heroine named strata gal who unfortunately finds herself sucked into the blades of an airplanes propeller and now clearly feels hugely responsible for that death and all the others which is why she is so firm about refusing to include capes in her designs but some fans think that syndrome came to edna for his costume design and edna knowing he was a villain actually gave him one in order to personally sabotage him syndromes syndrome despite his early claims that he has no powers and uses his inventions to make up for it fans of this theory believe that his superpower is actually heightened intelligence think of all the amazing things that he's invented like minuscule bombs a battle robot with artificial intelligence probes that scan for signs of life zero-point energy and more it's impossible that he could have invented all of these creations without at least a very high IQ but one about his super obvious blunders you might ask like wearing a cape and letting the Incredibles live well the theory says these mistakes are due more to his arrogance and massive ego than his actual smarts he is so intelligent he has come to believe he can't be defeated and he is so far above everyone else that it would be impossible for him to fail and we all know about how that story goes Incredibles Inc there are a few things that Pixar in Disney fans love more than connecting all of the films from both studios and figuring out which characters take place in the same universe this theory that brings together the world of Monsters Inc and The Incredibles might just blow your mind some fans believe that violet is actually boo from monsters Inc all grown up here's the skinny on that one first of all they look totally similar and boo could definitely have grown up to look like teenage violent then there's boos amazing hiding abilities that Sully comments on when he and boo are playing hide and seek in the locker room it's totally possible she was unknowingly using her developing powers to help her win the game Boo is also immediately comfortable with Sully which is a bit strange because he's a pretty giant monster but actually if you think about it he is built very similarly to her dad mr. incredible which explains why she would connect with him so quickly much like violet in the first Incredibles movie boo has a hard time accessing her power when she is under pressure and in danger so it would make sense that this is something she has struggled with since childhood all this and more totally connects the two characters or should we say character additional powers along with super strength and the ability to stretch like a rubber band some believe that the husband-and-wife duo are also clairvoyant and can see into the future nope you want proof do you well here it is look at the names of their children let's start with - who happens to be able to move at incredible sorry speeds and then violet can disappear which is a trait that she shares with ultraviolet light which is of course invisible to the human eye not only that but the forcefield she creates are also conveniently violet in color and then there's Czech jack this one might be a bit of a stretch but because it gets revealed that he has so many powers it really makes him something of a jack-of-all-trades so how would mr. and mrs. incredible know to name all of their children so appropriately without knowing what their powers were going to be in advance fans of this theory believe that they must have been able to see into the future man find out the powers that their kids were going to develop before giving them names that were so totally on the nose psych 101 this theory is particularly interesting for anyone who has ever taken a psychology 101 class or has seen the episode of Friends where Joey does a musical about Sigmund Freud it claims that the three children all represent Freud's model of the human psyche the it'd the ego and the super-ego so how does this relate to the incredible children let's find out first there's jack jack or the it'd which is our most primal instinct jack-jack is a baby and a powerful one of that if you've ever met a baby you know that they are pretty much only concerned with their immediate needs and will do just about anything they can to have them met then we have - or the ego which is still very concerned with character not only because of her name but also because it's a little confusing as to why she would so willingly work for a guy like Syndrome if you've ever wondered that yourself this theory is about to blow your mind some have believed that Mirage is a government spy in disguise which is a pretty good theory others think that she is an AI created by syndrom himself which makes sense until the part where since she appears to be choking which wouldn't really concern a robot all that much and finally the theory to beat all other theories is that Mirage is actually under syndromes control due to psychic powers that he gained from his super mother psyche wave while it hasn't been confirmed that she is his mother it's an extremely popular belief among Incredibles fans so let's just go with it this also works to explain how syndrome has such a big gang of hired goons who follow his every order if he can control them with his mind he can easily have them work for him without question man without remorse whose house this new theory popped up among fans after seeing The Incredibles 2 and actually has a lot of evidence to back it up when the Incredibles move into their giant and super modern new house Bob mentions that it was bought by Winston and from an eccentric billionaire who liked to come and go without being seen so the house has multiple hidden exits that is an extremely specific piece of information there Bob it also sounds pretty familiar to someone else we know it seems a little strange that the writers would have included this information unless they actually wanted fans to figure out then at one belong to one of the only other eccentric billionaires in the world of the incredibles based off of his house ahem island in the first movie we know syndrome loves his secret exits so it totally fits that he designed this other house more specifically we actually see him use the Moses style water wall in the first movie as well with the waterfall before it
