10 Sims 4 packs I wouldn’t buy again! // Sims 4 packs to avoid

oh hi thanks for watching my video today we're talking about sims packs there are so many of them now for the sims 4 there are 11 expansion packs 10 game packs 18 stuff packs and 8 kits i have most of them installed in my game partly because i love the sims and genuinely look forward to new dlc and partly because i have a sims youtube channel and every little helps so i'm going to take a look back at some of the packs i've bought that i kind of regret buying and probably wouldn't buy again in the future i won't be mentioning journey to batu because that's the only pack i don't own every pack i mentioned in this video were packs that i actually wanted and was left somewhat disappointed journey to batu however is a pack that i never wanted and have no interest in so you can't really disappoint low expectations i'm sure it would have made the list if i did spend money on it but i didn't so you won't see it here so let's begin 10 packs i wish i didn't buy number one eco lifestyle don't get me wrong there are some things about eco lifestyle that i like but for my type of gameplay it's more of a burden for me i don't like having an eco inspector always tell me that my home isn't up to spec i'm tired of sims having bags on their heads because of some action plan i voted on once when the game first came out i'm not the biggest fan of the pollution system i was enjoying it at the start but it just got old for me i never used the fabrication machine because i can't be asked i do like the world of evergreen harbour though and i like the community spaces although admittedly i don't play with it much i feel like eco lifestyle is either going to be a pack that you absolutely love or a pack that you just never touch i don't really feel like there's much of an in between for me personally it just doesn't interest me much and i rarely play with it and for someone who plays the sims 4 mostly every day to have a pack that i very rarely use is pretty bad number two dine out based on what this pack is supposed to be i'd never imagined this would find itself on the list of packs i wouldn't buy again i love being able to send my sims to restaurants and go out for lunch i personally think this shouldn't be an add-on anyway and should be included in base game like it was in the sims 2 and 3 let's not forget that but the reason why this pack is on the list is because it doesn't work my sims never sit at the table it takes about seven hours to order and get their food they never get to the point of paying the bill because i've got so sick of waiting that i just send them home servers put dirty dishes on my table i basically send my sims there to sit down for two seconds order food not eat anything because it doesn't arrive and then get charged for it dino would be a great pack to update but i honestly don't know what they could do at this point because it isn't that more needs to be added it's that the functionality doesn't work so rather than adding new things to this pack it would basically need an overhaul to remove all of the bugs and glitches and i don't see that happening and even if it did it could in turn cause more bugs and glitches i wouldn't buy this one again number three jungle adventure this is more personal taste rather than anything there isn't actually anything wrong with this pack i'm just not a big fan of jungle adventure and i rarely use it i love the idea of having vacations in the sims 4 and sending my sims on a little getaway but i don't really see the appeal of going to the jungle i know there are a few little missions you can complete whilst you're there like digging through the leaves and performing tasks but it just got a bit repetitive for me and the jungle isn't really the type of place i would consider a holiday destination the sims 3 did a good job of having missions and tasks but also providing the type of setting that you'd see as a holiday destination and it had things that your sims could do that are separate from the missions i can send my sims away to sim france and sure they can go around completing lots of mini tasks for the locals but if i don't want to do that i can still explore the land and learn how to make wine in selva dorada though it seems like if you're not going to do the mission there's nothing else worth going there for doesn't seem to have as much playability i'd be happy with a beach getaway that is only a holiday destination with activities that my sims can do only there like the holidays and the sims too if you go to the beach place you can learn the hula go on an excursion and loads more number four fitness stuff i know it's a stuff pack so it's not going to be ground breaking but i got the vibe that this pack was released for the sake of releasing something we already had gyms in the sims 4 and we had fitness wear the fitness stuff pack added a few more cast items and a piece of gym equipment a rock climbing wall rock climbing something we would be given again in the snowy escape pack if you love playing as a fitness fanatic sim then maybe you'll like this pack although i'm not sure of that given it doesn't add much but you might just wasn't my cup of tea number five get famous this pack i was quite disappointed by when i played it for the first time for a few reasons the world of del sol valley was smaller than i thought it would be offering only a handful of lots and the trailer for this game i think was quite a stretch when it came to representing gameplay i did like the novelty of the fame system and the hollywood walk of fame but for me personally i didn't find it that engaging because there wasn't anything that felt new the acting career was fun but it was just a copy of the active careers we already had in get to work and the fame quirk system was okay but again it was based on the same progress system we had in vampires for me it just didn't offer anything different to what we already had it was the same stuff but with an acting sticker slapped onto it number six perfect patio stuff so when i bought this one i didn't regret it mainly because the main selling point of this pack was the hot tub something we didn't have in the sims 4. the hot tub has become such a staple in the sims games much like the vibrating bed or the pool and as a long time sims fan i had to get it however since this pack came out the sims team released a free hot tub for their 20th birthday celebration i'm glad that the hot tub is now included in base game because i think it always should have been but that does make this pack kind of useless to me anyway i probably wouldn't have bought it if i knew a hot tub was going to be added to base game number seven romantic garden stuff i don't think there's anything wrong with this pack it has some really lovely decor items and plants and when it's put together it looks beautiful i just think i wouldn't buy it again because i'm quite useless at building and landscaping so although i can appreciate how pretty the items are i could happily play without them if i were really good at making beautiful gardens then i'd probably be lost without it but i'm not so it doesn't do much for me number eight outdoor retreat i was so excited for this pack and i do really like it but there is so much lacking here this one needs an update the world of granite falls is really pretty and nice to visit i just wish that there was more to do there from what i could tell there weren't really any activities you could do only there sure there's the hidden lot you can find but even that gets old this pack would be fantastic if there were more added to it like maybe a lake with some lake activities the kind of thing you'd see in a camp or something they could have more wildlife like squirrels and bears maybe had a walking trail just adding a few things you could only do there would make it more of an enticing place to visit number nine luxury party stuff the only item i really like in this pack is the chocolate fountain and that's about it i don't think there was enough content in it and i'm not too keen on the cast items you get so if i were to start my collection again i'd bypass luxury party for sure number 10 strangerville i'm a bit torn on this one because i like that the sims team tried something new by introducing a story based pack but i wasn't entirely sold on it the build and buy objects are really nice so i definitely miss them but there was just something about this pack that didn't sit right with me i don't like having one world that operates completely different to the others i don't know if the answer was to place it in a different area or what but it just feels weird having one world with a story sitting next to loads of other worlds without also i've been following the sims for a long time and there have been elements of storytelling in previous games i know i'm not the only one who wanted to have more information or a follow-on from the stories that were started in previous games and instead we got this one i think calling the world strangerville could have given the impression that it might be a follow-on to the previous stories because bella's abduction story involved a world called strange town ultimately though i just felt that i was already invested in a story that involved characters that had been around since the sims 1. so why would i be interested in these new characters i know nothing about what is there to entice me to uncover their story naturally this is just my opinion and i appreciate there are plenty of people who wouldn't feel that way so you might love this pack just isn't really for me so there are 10 packs i wouldn't buy again if i restarted my collection which packs would you leave
