years for these crimes after his release he resumed assaulting girls and began murdering his victims as well he was imprisoned yet again but escaped between 1984 and 1986 Barbosa assaulted and murdered at least 54. before arresting him the police thought the grizzly murders must have been committed by a gang not one monster he was finally caught and imprisoned for the final time in 1986 after his arrest he confessed to murdering 72 in Ecuador Barbosa was killed killed in prison in 1994. his killer was the nephew of one of his victims Mikhail popkoff this horrendous murderer was also known as the werewolf and the ungask maniac due to the unbelievable atrocities he committed throughout Russia between 1992 and 2010 pupkov assaulted killed and performed disturbing acts on at least 78
