and his punishment she transformed him into a hideous Beast Beauty and the Beast one of the Disney Animation's that has received the most acclaimed and positive critical reception has been Beauty and the Beast the mature storytelling great songs and beautiful animation all combined to create an unforgettable film in the early 1990s the movie was so popular that it was actually nominated for Best Picture at the 1992 Academy Awards even with all the popularity and originality the film actually features a huge segment that's completely stolen from another Disney classic during the closing moments of Beauty and the Beast Belle shares a dance with the Beast who has now transformed back to his human form as the two waltz on the dance floor it may look all too familiar because the same exact dance is featured in the closing moments of Sleeping Beauty once the majority of the film was animated the crew found themselves on a time crunch with just that dance to finish this is why they lifted the dance painted over the characters and spliced that footage into the closing moments of the Beauty and the Beast knowing this doesn't really take away from the film and the great dance segment between Belle and the Beast during their dinner date is still all original with a mix of a little modern CG animation you know Robin you're taking too many chances chances you must be joking Robin Hood when watching Robin Hood over again you may have to wonder if Disney had some budgeting issues back in the early 1970s the 1973 film has a lot of different recycled scenes from other Disney movies accumulating to a total of four different film one of the most obvious things is the extremely similar character design of Baloo from The Jungle Book to Little John and Robin Hood Little John is a large bear that makes the same facial expressions movements and body language as Baloo one of the main differences is that Little John wears clothes to different Dancing's and Robin who had also recycle animation the first borrows exact scenes from The Jungle Book scenes featuring Baloo and King Louie dancing together the second Burroughs exact dancing movements animations and frames from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Maid Marion steals Snow White's exact moves that she used while partying up with all the dwarves even the cutaway shot of all the woodland creatures watching was swiped from Snow White I guess Robin Hood does steal from the rich the rich history of the Disney Animation vault Alice in Wonderland one of Disney's more unique and ambitious animations was Alice in Wonderland the movie follows Alice as she travels into the extraordinary worlds in Wonderland meeting all kinds of crazy characters along the way one of the more random parts of the film occurs when Alice comes into contact with Tweedledee and Tweedledum the two characters proceeded to tell Alice the story of the walrus and the carpenter' which turns into its own little animated short in this story the walrus goes into the water to lure a number of oysters away from his home so he can eat them during one part of this journey a group of fish can be seen swimming as the walrus goes through the water this same group of fish was featured during an underwater scene in Pinocchio the colors were slightly changed but they have the same exact swim pattern and design another quick scene later in the film showcases a bird sitting in a small area of water and then flying up to a branch this animation was originally used in Bambi and was barely even disguised in Alice in Wonderland as it's pretty much a frame-by-frame duplicate of the bird [Music] the rescuers down under when Disney creates sequels it gives the movies a chance to expand on their story introduce new elements and provide more home entertainment this is why many moviegoers may feel a little duped when they watch the rescuers down under and see a lot of similarities from the original rescuers rescuers was released in 1977 and rescuers down under came out 13 years later but that didn't stop Disney from reusing a lot of the main footage the original movie itself had already taken animations from other Disney films there are deer and nature scenes used from Bambi early on the young girl in the rescuers actually features a lot of the same scenes as Mowgli from The Jungle Book this includes a part where she is walking through a small stream in the sequel one of the main scenes that was duplicated from the original was Orville's take off both of the little mice have the same exact reactions as the bird flies up goes through the same flying patterns and whisked them around the city the only thing that set these scenes apart is that in the rescuers down under the background takes place in a winter setting pretty lazy for a sequel [Music] the Jungle Book in 1967 The Jungle Book became an instant Disney classic featuring great characters wonderful songs and a touching plot about a young boy that was raised by wolves we could try to complement the animation in the film but it turns out that the jungle book is basically like a scrapbook for Disney classics worn with a mask to represent the jungle settings and animals who doesn't love the scene where the little wolf pups climb up on a rock to get a curious look at Mowgli if that felt familiar it's because those wolves are actually just repainted Dalmatians from the scenes where they are all climbing on a large chair instead of the rock the scene where Mowgli is embraced by a pair of wolves the same exact thing happened to Arthur in a sword in the stone when he was embraced by a pair of lovable dogs the stock shot of the deer a classic Bambi scene inserted into the film another huge segment is stolen from the chaotic scene where Mowgli is getting passed around by various animals a frame-by-frame version of that scene was featured in The Adventures of Ichabod and mr. toad the Jungle Book should have been retitled to the jungle Xerox machine Winnie the Pooh it's only natural for a longtime animated series to repeat the same actions and animation that's exactly the case for Disney's Winnie the Pooh franchise various movies have recreated a number of character movements and animations especially the flexible and wild moves of Tigger his hops jumps and rolls have been repeated in movies like Winnie the Pooh in the blustery day and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too one of the biggest Winnie the Pooh movie releases was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in 1977 the film includes a lot of the previous poos shorts and also showcases some extra scenes with Christopher Robin if those scenes look familiar it's because they are complete duplicates of Mowgli's adventures in the Jungle Book of course Christopher Robin had some clothes added on but it looks exactly the same as he walks toward the edge of a cliff and tosses a small rock off another recycled scene includes a moment where Christopher Robin walks out on the edge of a large trunk that hangs over a stream disney added a different background and Winnie the Pooh for a distraction but when played side by side the is no denying that the scenes have been copied the sword in the stone the sword in the stone uses a lot of recycled footage but it may not seem as obvious as other movies this is because Disney smartly pulled from little scene animated shorts instead of some of their bigger releases they were allowed to get away with a lot more recycled footage that helped form the film a boulder rolling down a hill was taken directly from the Disney short all in a nutshell a wolf crawling through the woods was taken from a tiger featured in the short Goliath two scenes featuring dueling knights on horseback wasn't even disguised as it recycled directly from the Disney short the truth about Mother Goose all of the horses and armor featured the same exact designs one of the main feature length movies that the sword in the stone recycled footage from was 101 Dalmatians Jesper and Horus attempt to kidnap the dogs when the bumbling fools accidentally hit each other the same scene happens and the sword in the stone when two bumbling fools accidentally hit each other with a sword not only is the action the same but the reactions from the character that gets hit is exactly the same as well even a wizard like Merlin couldn't cover this one up my name's Todd what's your name kid the Fox and the Hound when the Fox and the Hound was released in 1981 Disney fans had not seen a story so emotional since the release of Bambi back in 1942 it's only fitting that the Fox and the Hound took a number of scenes from that film being 40 years apart the animation is cleaned up a bit but there's no denying the copied scenes from the similar woodland film in Bambi if there's a quick scene where a mother duck and her babies waddled down into the water the same exact scene happens in the Fox and Hound except that the direction is reversed near some of the climactic scenes in Bambi the forest animals are getting chased by a pack of vicious hunting dogs in the Fox and the Hound The Hound grows up to become a hunting dog and when he chases the Fox down it's the same exact scene hopefully the Hound wasn't really one of the dogs who was hunting Bambi and his friends in the forest the film also takes a brief scene from the sword in the stone of a squirrel hopping along a branch The Princess and the Frog in 2009 Disney decided to ditch their modern CG animation designs to release a traditional animation for the release of The Princess and the Frog the captivating story features a lot of classic Disney elements including songs the animation style and the original stories that it is based off of one of the characters in the film is an alligator named Lewis for many Disney fans he may look a little familiar whether it was a recycled footage or no Maj isn't completely clear but there's one point in the movie where Lewis sticks his head between a tree and looks just like madam MIM when she pulls her hair and turns into a hideous monster the scene matches frame for frame and X as a fun Easter egg in the movie another connection between the films can be found when MIM transforms into an alligator during her duel with Merlin the alligator looks a lot like Lewis carrying the same traits and walking style maybe Lewis is actually MEMS long-lost father his ultimate goal in the film is to be turned into a human and the original story saw him start out as a human at first 101 dalmations there have been a number of movies that have taken scenes from the 101 Dalmatians but the film is not all completely original it may be only of Disney's earlier films but there are multiple animations that it stole scenes from one of these movies is Cinderella in Cinderella the cat named Lucifer is attacked and jumps high into the air while backing into a wall the same thing happens to the cat and 101 Dalmatians when darts are thrown at him the recycled scene is covered up by flipping the animation and thinning down the cat both 101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan take place in London to help showcase the city animators used establishing shots to feature famous buildings and landmarks one of these is the big-band clock also known as the Elizabeth tower rather than draw two different versions of this landmark 101 Dalmatians used the same exact shot as Peter Pan while Peter Pan features more brightness 101 Dalmatians really kicks up the fog factor to enhance the nighttime visuals of the city another quick shot of a woman walking down the street was also taken from the Disney short how to have an accident at work Wow there you have it what movie is the most obvious offender does this
