franchises feel the need to shake things up a tad with that in mind Burger King is no stranger to shaking up a staple item with their latest creation being the chicken Whopper getting a bit bored with the amazing yet all too familiar original Whopper well now you can sink your teeth into flame broiled chicken patties instead the chicken Whopper comes loaded with all the familiar Whopper ingredients but with chicken in place of the all beef patties the chicken Whopper uses grilled chicken instead of crispy fried chicken patties this makes this Whopper a healthier alternative to the original Whopper and even the other classic chicken sandwiches on the BK menu unfortunately the chicken Whopper was only a limited run item as the sandwich was part of the Chain's 45th anniversary though if you happen to be visiting India pop into a BK and you can still find the chicken Whopper on the menu I can smell cocoa butter and fried chicken at the same time Taco Bell's volcano menu what did we eat coming out of me like lava first popping up on Taco Bell menus back in the mid 90s the volcano menu consisted of a variety of specialty fiery items that were sure to set both your curiosity and case they had a Surefire idea on their hands with the mick DLT the mcdlt was a cheeseburger that separated the hot from the cold quite literally the burgers package came with two compartments the sizzling Patty resting on the left side and the lettuce and tomatoes stayed cool on the right the fun came if the customer was adventurous enough to try to combine the burger by folding the package though that was never recommended and would have resulted in a burger mess the original slogan for the burger stated the hot and cold of it add up to a whole new taste this was fairly accurate as the toppings being separated from the burger kept the lettuce and tomato cold crisp and delicious unfortunately this wonderful bundle of gimmicked goodness O's being discontinued to the gimmick itself yes the mcdlt's separated package was the reason this popular Burger was canceled back in the late 90s the package was constructed of Styrofoam which is notoriously hard to decompose and thus bad for the
