How can someone be knowledgable enough to make something like this yet dumb enough to make it in the first place. It's a mystery.
I'd love to know his rationale for it. There are tons of perfectly safe splitting machines out there that he could have made instead of this monstrosity.
This is easily one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. Dude is going to either lose a hand, slip a disc, get sucked into that wheel, or catch a piece of flying debris to the face... it's all kind of inevitable.
This looks like it's only a little faster than splitting wood by hand, and pretty hard on the back. Not to mention that you couldn't design a more unsafe method of winching the logs into place if you tried.
Also, why didn't he build the wheel in a pit so that he wouldn't have to shift fucking logs onto a rack at chest height? Everything about this design is dumb.
This dude is just begging to get either an arm or his head removed.
For fucks sake..... Of all the ways he could have possibly done this...

This is literally retarded. It’s wrong in every way possible. It’s dangerous, slow, expends waaay more energy. I’m going to go make a formal complaint.
Even if you slow down the footage to 75%, it's still too damn fast. That fucking thing is just waiting to launch something at your face be it wood or the axe head.
The first and fourth ones look pretty safe though. The third one would be a lot better if they kept their baggy clothes away from those spinning wheels. I guess the other 6 all killed the users and camera man since they aren't in the video.
