10 BEST IKEA PRODUCTS FOR SMALL SPACES | Space Saving Tips & Ideas

[Music] hey everyone welcome back to my channel my name is Kristen and today I'm going to be sharing with you 10 amazing IKEA products that are perfect for small spaces I absolutely love IKEA you guys know that I am really missing it right now I can't wait till I can go back in the store and see what's new but for now I'm going to be showing you these 10 products that I actually have in the house already and show you how amazing they are for space-saving and for small spaces so these are products that I'm really impressed by and I think if you have a small space you could definitely use them with furniture because furniture is always the most difficult thing to work around when working with a small space so I think the key to a successful small space is multifunctional furniture so I have some really great pieces to share with you that are compact multifunctional and look really nice so the first piece I want to share with you is actually a bed and it's the IKEA Glatt bed you guys might have seen this in this room makeover that I did for my mom's house we made one bedroom sleep two using this flat bed and I think it is amazing it's compact it has a really minimal design and it's multifunctional so it has one bed on top one twin bed underneath that rolls out and storage so I think that is the perfect bed for a small space maybe you have one bedroom you need to make it fit two this is the perfect bed for that I love that the bed can roll all the way out it can be moved into a different space if you need two beds or it can just be rolled right out underneath it and you kind of get this little layered bunk bed situation it saves space in a small room because you can just push the bed underneath inside the other bed and you have this little compact twin bed and since it's IKEA it's at a really great price so you can get this entire slat bed system for 237 that's not including the mattresses but if you already have mattresses it's a really great price for the bed system if you had a tiny room or a room that you need to make fit to this is the perfect bed for you this next IKEA piece is perfect for small office spaces if you have a small office if you don't have a designated office and you need somewhere to get work done this IKEA fits Joe writing desk is so perfect it's such a slim design it doesn't look bulky because it's not bulky and it's very very affordable it's only $49 and it has just everything you need it has a slim design that kind of fits into any kind of decor style has a little shelf if you need it to add maybe a mousepad or storage but for somebody that just works on their laptop or just get some writing done this desk is everything that you would need in my opinion you guys might have seen the room makeover than I did on my mom's office where she wanted kind of a guest room slash office space and this desk really made that work because it didn't take up too much space and it hasn't like the nice kind of floating a pretty design to it this desk could definitely double eyes like a little vanity as well look you put a mirror above it or if you put a mirror on it you can get your makeup down there you could get some work done you could do it all in this slim little designed space so there's kind of something untraditional about it that I really love and I think it's perfect for a multi-purpose a small space ok this next piece has to be my favorite I think it is the best designed little piece of multifunctional furniture I've ever seen I think everybody can use this and it's just perfect so anyways it is the Valentina sleeper module ottoman little thing so I use this again in my mom's office redesign you guys probably saw it there but I really want to focus on how amazing this is I kind of skim by it a little bit in that video but I really think this piece of furniture deserves some attention because if you live in the tiniest place and you need an ottoman a chair a sofa and a bed this little square can be all of that it is actually part of the Vallum Tuna sectional collection so you can buy this as part of your couch design but you can also buy it on your own like we did and it actually pulls out into a twin size bed so if you have the tiniest place this will work for you if you have a one-bedroom apartment and you really need a second place to sleep this is amazing it also comes in different colors so you can really have fun with the colors or keep them more neutral like we did another great thing about it is that you don't have to pay for a mattress on top of the pullout situation you just undo the top part and you actually have a mattress right there it's really comfortable it's obviously not your traditional mattress but it will definitely do for any kind of sleepover space or additional sleeping quarters that you need it's for 75 but if you're looking for all those things really saving space creating a sleeping area out of nowhere this product is definitely for you I am obsessed with it okay so now onto some organizational products I think a really big factor to making a small space work is having it be organized and having a place for everything and really making it look neat and tidy also there's just some really great organizers to make small spaces work this first one is something that I found really recently and I actually found it in the kids section and it's a bedside organizer so I showed this in a previous video but I think this thing is amazing and I think anyone and everybody could use it if you have a small space or a large space but specifically for those bedrooms that don't have enough space at the side of the bed to have nightstands and hold everything that you need this bedside organizer is perfect for just slipping over the side of your bed and it will hold everything that you need without taking up so much space so it keeps things off the ground and attached to your bed you go this organizer is called this guitar bedside organizer I think and it's $5.99 and you can find it in the kids section so it comes in black and it also comes in bright pink I think so really extremes I picked up the black one because you can just make that work for anything so if you have a small bedroom and your bed goes from wall to wall this organizer will definitely help you and you'll have less things scattered around your bed or scattered around your floor alright so now I'm delighting I think the lighting is really important and it really makes a whole space feel complete it's also really great to create spaces within spaces and we trying to work with a smaller room creating spaces within spaces is really useful so some of you might have seen this product since I've shared it in previous videos but if you missed it you definitely need to know about it this is the IKEA Hema cord set and it is perfect for hanging a pendant light anywhere so all you would do is just plug in that let on one side and hang the cord from the ceiling using just a utility hook and you have a perfect pendant light so it comes with a little switch that you can turn on and off it's not wired into the ceiling you don't have to hire an electrician to set it up and I think that's one of my favorite parts as well it's such a great little DIY solution so if you have a little corner that you want to create a little reading nook in or split up a room and hang it on the ceiling to create two different spaces it also doesn't come with a lampshade so you can create your own lampshade like I've done or you can also buy one from IKEA they have so much selection I think this cord actually comes in black and white as well so you can really have it blend into your space as needed but for $9.99 I think it is such a great product so if you're looking for something like this an opportunity to hang a light up or you didn't think it was possible definitely consider the hammock or net I think it is the best thing for creating a space within a space on to the next product again this is the perfect multi-purpose product something that can be used in almost any room of the house and it is this vent or rod and hook system I have used this multiple times and there's so many different things that you can use this for and it's a really great space saver so this is a broaden hook system and everything is sold separately so I think the rod is $11.99 the bins are $6.99 and the hooks come in a set of five or six for $4.99 I've used this in the past to hang up little mugs so that I don't have monks sitting down on a surface I have them up on the wall displayed and it works for two different purposes decor and organization and I've used it again to hang little buckets of crayons and pencil crayons or any kind of office supplies this is also really good for hanging up in kitchens a rod system like this is amazing for hanging all of your necessary utensils you need will act as decor but it will also really save space on your counters and in your cupboards think it looks really cute and it's perfect for saving space around your house all right so now that I've shown you a product that works for outside of your cupboards this is a product that works for the inside and really creating a space within a space this is the Ferrara shelf insert and it's perfect for kitchens bathrooms any kind of cupboards where you really want to take advantage of the height so these shelf inserts are perfect they actually come in two different sizes there's one larger one and you can actually screw this many one on top of it but I just got these slimmer design ones I think they're really good for organizing cups and bowls and plates so if you have a space where you really need to make every inch of it count something like this any kind of shelf organizer is perfect for that another one of my favorite organizational pieces from Ikea is the good Morgan 5 box and lid set this is amazing it comes with five boxes in one it takes up minimal space because all of the little compartments fit inside the bigger box it can hold all of your bathroom essentials in one little space I love that it's stackable I love that every compartment comes with its own lid so you can separate them and use them throughout the house I like using this in my bathroom to hold all of the small things that I use on the regular so that's cotton pads q-tips floss toothbrush so you could get multiple of these as well and stack them up and really have all the products that you need in your bathroom this is also really good if you want to organize little things in your kitchen or organize a junk drawer this little compartment will hold it all and on the topic of bins I also really like the cookus bins these are really really great for storing and stacking they are perfect for small spaces because the bins are so compact I think the design of them is so clean and fresh that it doesn't look messy they also are not see-through so that also helps to lose a lot of that messy look that you can sometimes get it's perfect for if you want to store things outside of a car and you're really gonna see these bins they look nice and they function really well all right so for this last piece I want to share with you it's actually a product that I have had my eye on for so long I definitely need it I really want it and I think it is an amazing use of space so it's the hems shoe organizer and it is the perfect thing to put against a wall and hide all your shoes in a really slim way it looks like a beautiful dresser kind of like built into your wall but it actually folds out and you can hold so many different pairs of shoes so I think if you have a slim entryway a small hallway and you still need to fit your shoe somewhere this is probably the perfect way of organizing them it actually attaches to the wall you have to install it all but it makes it really safe for when you pull open all the doors and I just love the way it looks I think it has such a nice design to it you can customize it the way you want you can change the knobs on it so if you have a really small space a really small entry space and you can't figure out how to make it work maybe this hems IKEA shoe organizer will be the solution to it because I'm thinking it's my solution and I really need to go get it so those are all of my favorite IKEA products that are perfect for small spaces and space-saving obviously IKEA has so many more products that are amazing for a space-saving I just don't have them and haven't tried them out yet I love all the products that I shared with you today they work so well in my house and they've just really functioned perfectly for these small spaces that we use them in so I highly recommend all
