to tap on the link button in Apple notes to bring in the link of the tab you're currently viewing the link will be added in a visually appealing card layout you can also highlight text on a web page and send it to notes it will save the exact quote you highlighted in your notes the best part is that clicking on the quote will instantly take you to the exact spot on the web page where the quote is located in addition to web pages this can also be done with other supported apps for example you have the option to Simply drag an email from the mail app and add it directly to a note this means that if you want to make notes about an email you can attach it to the notes app to provide context if you wish to have instant access to your most important notes you can make use of the pinotes feature text within your notes this feature works specifically within notes on your iPhone but on a MacBook you can search across all notes when there are multiple search results this feature will highlight each one so you can manage them easily after you find the search result that you want you have the option to edit copy delete or use it for other purposes Apple notes has come a long way with its improvements making it a quick and efficient app that gets the job done but there are still a few things that could use some tweaking from Apple the first frustration that I've encountered is that there's no highlight tool it's such a basic feature that should be included sure there's a marker but you can't actually highlight any text the next frustration is that you cannot share notes publicly other note-taking apps allow you to grab a public link for sharing and they even give you the option for password protection another frustration is the update frequency of new features unlike apps such as notion which constantly roll out new features you often find yourself waiting for a major iOS update as a conclusion not- taking apps are very personal things personally I don't need to have all kinds of widgets markdown formats animated wallpapers or databases to write down my thoughts grocery lists or to-do lists what works for me might not work for you Apple notes does enough for all
