Honestly? It was better than I expected it to be, though to be fair my expectations were fairly low.
The Animation, is, as expected, pretty awfull. No surprise for anybody who knows how muchgood animation would cost. there was no way for this to look good.
But as far as a minisode about Daleks doing Dalek things go? Honestly, the plot was fine.
Of course,, the star here was dear Briggs doing those fun, destinct Dalek voices.
Overall,, its fine. Certainly have seen worse - its no K9 and Company.
Edit: A small addition,, I did like the Archive-Bots. Thats actually a design I could see easily realized on the show as well (although that kinda means it should maybe done more with the lack of limits in animations as far as designs go.)
Damn, this new IT Crowd intro is really long.
But really, I actually did enjoy this. The writing was better than I expected it to be. I assumed this would be a low-effort project, given how late in the process its conception seemed to come. And obviously the animation is its weakest thing about it, but honestly it's easily forgiven when you're following the story.
Definitely was expecting this to be the worst thing out of TLV, so I'm glad that if it is, it's at least good.
Itβs fine. The animation is not brilliant but the story seems to be moving in an interesting direction.
Some of the best Dalek dialogue/performances since series 1. I would love to see dialogue like this on TV.
should i watch planet of the daleks before watching this or does the planet of the dalek stuff not start until the next episode?
This is funky and weird but pretty entertaining. It reminds me of when I was first discovered the Daleks as a kid and I'd Google image Daleks and you'd see all sort of funky animated versions that really grasped the imagination so this really pays homage to that for me. Thought it was really fun. What era was this set though? Post or pre time war?
why does that one boss dalek need a flight platform if the rest of them can just fly unassisted
I love the minimalistic, but detailed art style and the classic style of music. I quite like where this is heading.
The writing was great. Briggs was great. The animation wasn't great, but we knew it wasn't going to be, so that wasn't a surprise.
