hello my reading friends its Ani I've got a question for you have you ever known a bully well today we're going to meet a little girl who's very bossy and likes to get her way let's see if anything changes when a new kid joins the class as we read the recess Queen if you have a copy go get it so you can read along with me the recess Queen written by Alexis O'Neil illustrated by Laura haluska beef Mean Gene was recessed queen and nobody said any different nobody swung until Mean Gene swung nobody kicked until Mean Gene kicked nobody bounced until Mean Gene bounced if kids ever crossed her she push them and solution Lollapalooza hammer em slammer em kits and kajam arrum say what Mean Gene growled see Mean Gene how old Mean Gene always got her way until one day a new kid came to school katiesue a teeny kid a tiny kid a kid you might scare with a jump and a boo but when the recess bell went ring a d-ring this kid ran Zynga teasing for the playground gate Katie sous one before mean Jean Swan Katie soup kicked before Mean Gene kicked katiesue bounced before Mean Gene bounced the kid you might scare with a jump in a boo was too new to know about Mean Gene the recess Queen well Mean Gene bullied through the playground crowd like always she pushed kids and smushed kids lalla polish kids hammered him slam Erdem kits and kajam Erdem as she charged after that Katie sue what she growled see who she howled she snarled and grabbed katiesue by the collar nobody swings and swings nobody kicks and tell Queen King kicks nobody and she figured that would set the record straight she figured wrong katiesue talked back just as sassy as could be she said bossy then that puny thing that loony thing grabbed the ball and bounced away uh-oh Katie sue was one quick kid she bolted quick as lightning bouncity-bounce as he bounced kickity-kick it he kick swing it he swing it he swing Mean Gene thundered close behind bounce it e-tec it ii swing 'ti the recess queen was not amused she raced and chased an in-your-face that katiesue no one spoke no one moved no one breathed then from her pack pulled katiesue a jumprope clean and bright hey Jeannie sang katiesue let's try this jump out here's one thing true until that day no one dared asked bean Jean to play but that katiesue just hopped and jumped and skipped away gene just gaped and stared as if too scared to move at all so katiesue sang once more [Applause] then from the side a kid called out go gene go and to surprised to even shout gene jumped in with katiesue I like cookies I like tea I want you to jump with me the Rope whizzed and slapped faster faster the rope spun and flapped faster faster till it caught in a tangle disaster but they just giggled and jumped again well now when recess rolls around that playgrounds one great place at the school bells ringing ring those two girls racing a teasing out the classroom door Jane doesn't push kids and smoosh kids Lollapalooza hammer UM's lamrim kits in kajam room cuz she's having too much fun romp adiy romping with her friends bounce Atika kitty swing Andy hoppity skippity jumpity ring at ease ziggety yes katiesue was too new to know about mean jeans reputation and when she found out she wasn't afraid of jean katie sue thought Jean might be lonely so she invited her to play that one act of kindness changed everything for Jean now she has lots of friends I hope you enjoyed our story today thank you for reading with me see you next time subscribe for more story time and don't forget to click the bell so you'll know each time a new video is posted [Music]
