hi I'm Bridget have you ever made a bet has anyone dared you to do something that makes your knees tremble it all started with take a token game my friend grace taught me the rules said it does great things to develop a good memory the rules are simple whatever you take from the game participants you have to say I'll take it and remember if you took something without saying it you lose and have to do a dare your friends come up with everyone wanted to play for fun if I only knew how this would end you probably already guessed who lost it was me of course my friends decided on a dare for me to do to kiss Robert a guy from school in front of everyone I was screwed I had liked Robert for a long time now but how do you kiss a boy you like for the first time in front of everyone of course I could refuse but I was also kind of curious if I could handle it so I agreed I just have to get it out of my system quick I thought to myself when I was going down to the school lobby after classes a good place to be swallowed up by the floor in shame and there was Robert I took a deep breath called for him and when he turned gave him a quick peck on the cheek I ran away to laughter and cries of surprise thank God it was over next day Robert wasn't mad at me or anything so I decided to explain to him what had happened he's a good guy he'd understand and he did Robert laughed and joked about it and when I said no offense he said that he couldn't possibly be offended I believed Robert because there really wasn't anything to feel offended about I was glad it all ended so well but then Robert started noticing me more the first time it happened was when I was getting my coat and he was right there next to me he apologized for stepping on my toe and then we had a sweet little chat then we were together in a line to pay for our lunches at cafeteria and we talked about school food and then there was the funny situation with a door in school I was almost next to it when it suddenly bangs shut right in front of my nose then in a second Robert opens it up for me letting me inside I couldn't help but smile all this made think he might have a little crush on me who could have thought my feelings could be reciprocated once after class I was hurrying home running down the stairs I saw Robert at the bottom and the next thing I knew my foot caught on something and I was tumbling down Robert rushed to help me up asking me if I was okay at first I was feeling mortified and then I just ran to class in silence Robert was so helpful and compassionate and I was just so awkward after school was over for the day I wanted to thank him for his attention and help so I had to try and catch him in a place where no one would see soon Robert was there with friends and I heard him talking I tripped her and that idiot didn't even see doesn't notice anything whatever I do they all started laughing and gloating and I actually forgot how to breathe after I'd heard this all the situations that seemed sweet before him banging the door in front of my nose stepping on my feet as if by accident he did tripped me there was no one else around I ran away in tears the next day I just wanted to take it out on him I felt so stupid and hurt I approached him and was about to give him a tongue lashing when he went pale apologized for tripping me looking around I was dumbfounded at first I was relieved but then I felt suspicious why would he apologize the day before he didn't mind breaking my legs for fun and now just admitted it like that and why would he look around as if afraid I decided to get this straight I went to Lucy a girl I knew from the Senior Grade she saw the tripping incident and said that right after it Thomas Parker Roberts classmate approached him and they had a chat in the boys restroom I was really surprised I wanted to think Thomas personally but I was too shy to approach him even though Lucy showed him to me in the hallway I needed a good occasion and sooner had it once I went to the cafeteria for lunch got myself a lunch and when it was time to pay for it it turned out I forgot my wallet at home I was so embarrassed suddenly Thomas pops up behind me with the money I had my occasion I had to give him back the money he spent next day I approached him and tried to hand the money with a few word of thanks but he didn't take it just smiled sweetly and left I was upset we didn't get to talk perhaps he didn't like me all that much to talk but why would he stick up for me then and just like that it was Tomas occupying my thoughts I watched him everywhere waiting for our paths to cross but it never happened I even thought he really didn't like me and was trying to avoid me while I kept falling for him didn't look like it was reciprocated at all finally there came a day I decided to stop daydreaming about Tomas I was walking home from school and saw him walking towards me looking me directly in the eye I was so worried I couldn't think of anything better than to hide in an alleyway I wasn't ready for the talk Oh what did I do i sat at the nearest bench and put my hands over my face suddenly someone was there sitting next to me and saying haha hi Bridget with a stammer it was Thomas he stammered and because of that found it hard to talk I told him it was absolutely fine and that I was just happy to see him I could finally thank my knight in shining armour we sat there for an hour and he asked me if I wanted to walk in the park the next day of course I said yes while Tomas was walking me home I remembered that mom's cousin is a doctor who works with stammers and speech defects and could probably help I felt really uncomfortable offering this to Thomas but he was happy to accept he said he would love to get help he'd wanted to for a long time but felt too embarrassed the only specialist he knew was his classmates dad and that boy always made fun of him I'm glad Tomas is overcoming his stammer now but to be honest I would find him just as cute and awesome if he didn't because he's kind and caring I think that the first impression about a person could be very wrong
