twelve hours in 12 hours to go we got this for you ladies and gentlemen Bart 11 grand Goodwin watching from track sides at the Circuit de la Sarthe at l'amour slow zone and safety car procedures will all be under investigation that is standard operating practice inevitably the data screens will have thrown up a few drivers who may be close to the limits of slowing down in time and not speeding up too early Sebastien Bourdais and Scott Dixon very different drive times this is the end towards the end of a double stint for four day but Scott Dixon has been in 114 minutes that's another stint longer so he's getting towards the end of a triple for catching both of them at the moment Andy Priaulx just bought a second 1/2 back from this battle it's a three car four train yeah I thought I was wondering when we would get the first triple stint in a GT car and I think Dixon is doing it and in fact this group most those Fords are behind the Corvette - Mike Rockenfeller which is only two seconds behind this Bamber Maccabee key battle so Fred Marco is third Earl Bamber fourth my Rockenfeller fifth Sebastien Bourdais six Scott Dixon seventh Andy Priaulx eighth that battle cut the by eight seconds yeah Dixon actually coming towards the end of his second stint Oh is he is so we've had Richard Westbrook was a double Ryan Briscoe did a triple right Ryan Briscoe is getting ready to get back in either that or Richard Westbrook has now changed we just saw in the back of the garage there the the distinctive figure of Ryan Briscoe guineas helmet ready to get into that Ford so Dixon will be in should serve otherwise yeah she was held up by that 48 car pretty dramatically lost seven seconds of the middle sector boy get to Sebastien Buemi so the gap is back down to half a second again which is astonishing because he was 5.6 seconds ahead or something and Kamui Kobayashi has lost all of the advantage that he had before the safety car and the advances he had of clearing the traffic earlier through Arnage now that there got a bit of clear error between them still looks to me like the 48 cars ahead of him now love they'd have cleared it now the Glitter 38 car that both cleared it yeah but made heavy weather of that so just exactly it still seven ahead of eight but it's very close now why here is the view that's the seven car in front of us Toyota one to as the happines hits the start of the race not for the want of trying because gustavo Menezes in the number three rebellion had a big lunge at the number eight car into the very first corner of the race number seven started on pole position by Mike Conway the number a cast which Sebastien Buemi was under real attack and if Menezes had got his nose in front while he probably would have lost that again on the Mulsanne straight as soon as the Toyotas hybrid drive kicked in but nevertheless was enterprising attacking in comes the eight car on time that is at the end of 12 laps two more for Kamui Kobayashi at the end of his first stint this current run the change comes as we expected it would fall for them to Alonso to club report and in fact the last time the cut of the car came in and Alonso was ready but then he was waved off because after they called Fernando to get ready they then thought to our Sebastien Buemi whether he would stay in the car as they quad stinted the tires and he said yes that makes sense but Fernando was orbit why did you want to get me in here why didn't you ask the question first and get an answer before what you wanted me here however his is not to reason why Fernando Alonso is now in the car and is this where he does what he did last year get in in the wee small house it is three o'clock in the morning here Fernando put in a pretty mighty nighttime stint it was one of the the key anchor legs to the victory for Toyota with the number eight car last year funny thing is little about the real superstars of any sports your honor a fan or you're not and what I would suggest is this judge this guy on his talents judge upon those results and certainly on the basis of what we saw at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona he was mighty in a car he's not had a lot of time in and made the rest of field look ordinary and whatever you think of Fernando Alonso believe me this banner Scott's on the worldly talent beyond the work wit of a race car but there's never been any question has there in the Formula One car but he can drive anything quickly he's proved the same as he's coming to Toyota another hugely sophisticated complicated car to deal with if he hadn't been dealing with hybrid Formula one cars who would have been a massive learning curve and we saw that with Jose Maria Lopez again nobody's fool behind a steering wheel but the complexity of these cars really he struggled with and then of course he was trying to deal with a similar situation informally as well Fernando very quick in anything he's driven and I'm sure that will continue when he waves goodbye to world endurance racing at the end of this seat significant change on track we're seeing open Bobby on Fred backer Vicky Nicole bamba's got by Mike Rockenfeller in the last lap or so as we come back to green yeah they both did the Corvette was running in third I think a pit stop for them they've done 12 stops compared to the 11 of the Porsches not sure that the Corvette can stay with Porsche um in terms of fuel efficiency if they're running with the Porsches in terms of pace lungs run top bits from the lead of the race in GT Pro 25th overall now for the 92 Porsche 911 RSR Mansoor Pitts daniel sarah will take the lead therefore that is his 13th stop which means that he that sarah now owes as a pit stop 92 there you see it driver change double stint for van tour I think to keep their drivers fit and healthy they are doubling and that I think that means Kevin esters at the wheel fires up and fires it out of pit road they of course do indeed retake the lead one car remaining in the hunt for a of course sir and for Corvette Racing that's a short stint that is a very short stint that was Lance hunter after just six laps okay tire issue maybe [Music] Daniel Sarah chewy in another three laps but is that it's having moments for the Porsche attack and for this the 92 car the other two drivers bought the car give an extra and Michael Kristensen vantur looking hot and sweaty he was remember most of me most of that stint was of course behind the safety car so previous dents 50 laps 50 laps 16 15 15 15 16 6 I would fit how long was the safety cart can't to be more than three laughs no so probably only two because don't forget a lap behind the safety car takes a week here it's a lot eight minutes it might have been three laps of safety car might have been - in a bit but you know that wasn't most of that stint at all no but it is very hot very hard very physical in these cars and he hasn't come in behind the safety car so he is still working like a Trojan it's a little bit of discussion going on in the team Michael Christiansen they're chatting away he's the third drivers about 92 car can finish your back behind the wheel and we're battling Fred Makahiki and Earl Bamber so Porsche 2nd 3rd and 4th in GTE Pro corporate in fifth Ferrari back on top of the pile the leader in the GTE Pro Class passed arias whistles number seven Toyota that's Kamui Kobayashi race leader number eight car then will be not far behind him minute and a dozen seconds or so so Christian mark over the 92 car and a wonder whether Graham Goodwin you said that was a triple stint for Kevin estra was the short stint a third bit or was it the short stint the beginners fan saw it was their Lawrence man Thomas eighths a Louisville plus a bit know a single plus a bit so okay now a couple of possibilities maybe right maybe there was a time problem there wonder if actually Lauren sponsor is actually feeling okay that was my other thought I wonder whether he just said guys I really really need to stop now it's entirely possible and we won't know that the team would have that they may have had a low tire pressure warning light come on behind the safety car it might just have dropped out of the temperature I mean that now that's the other thing behind the safety car don't forget the track temperatures dropping and dropping and dropping it might have switched the tires off in modern parlance the tire temperature by to drop too low for him to be able to get tired temperature back into the car they may not have been on a quote night time tire night time rear wing at going on the number seven car that's all happening while the fuel is going in and the driver stays in so no time lost not yet at least just seeing if there's anything we can spots through social media that gives us a clue as to why that's a pit stop happened then at 7:00 come in and out cause I'm big facetious it's not a nighttime wing as such the wing is the wing but as the temperature changes maybe as they put on a different tire they're adjusting the Aero balance of the car we've seen them putting on new noses new tails because it's quicker to pre adjust with the new setting a bit less wing or a bit more or bigger gurney or whatever it is on a spell and then bulge it on and off than it is to actually make adjustment on the car in the pitstop you can't do that you pre adjust the part and put on a nose or a tail or conceivably both with the right arrow setting to try and balance the car for the way the driver wants it as the temperature changes as they're using different tires the car will have different requirements of its aero package and the driver will want to dial the car in and the pitstop is the only time to do it I've learned Alonso now under 13 seconds back from the leader seven car still the hands of Cooper Kamui Kobayashi back out on the track 191 laps under the wheels of the leading pair now two laps clear of that Bert on still in third place with the let's delayed of the two rebellions the surviving SMP racing be our one stop on Van Daan is just about three minutes back from that Bert's on with three laps further back again the second rebellion that's the top five all their b16 position overall it's the lead car in lmp2 Roman rusinov is in charge still of the 26 G Drive racing car on riddled a growl there's been just grinding away at that's advantage under two minutes now 1 minute 53 seconds a little further back down the order in fifth just as I speak Ricky Taylor puts in the quickest lap of the number 37 Jackie Chan DT racing cars race of 329 9 5 2 been a while since we've seen particularly quick time in art of the Olympic classes because we've had those safety car interruptions absolutely daniel sarah leads GTE Pro 25th overall now 45.6 seconds ahead of Kevin estra after that at the moment mystery early stop for Lawrence hunter and 41 seconds further back before we get to Fred Becker Vicki and then that trainers one two three four five six cars separated by 13 seconds yeah it's third to eight this nip that was in the second safety car q and they're all still jammed together which effectively means for the podium positions we have a train of eight cars yeah and of those what Ferrari which leads to race three Porsches second third fourth then the sole remaining Corvettes after Marcel Fassler 's rather frightening accident earlier this evening or the rather late this afternoon then three Ford's make up that train to get of eight cars and then the rest are currently also Rams from ninth on down Dennis Olson at the wheel of 94 Porsche in the GTE AM class you were talking about quick times coming in lmp2 blue second sector which means fastest of the race for the car for Charlie Eastwood second in the 90 TF sport Aston and now for Philippe Frogger leading in the 85 key t motorsport the wins Ford so the top two cars in lmp2 putting in middle sectors quicker than anything they produced so far ended lap for charlie eastward it was a 355 eight not the cars quickest lap of the race but one of its quickest laps because you had a fastest sector in it and that's right on the leaders pace but there is about two and a half minutes between first and second in GTE AM a whole safety car gap so cue an extra in his out in that Porsche trying to do what he can to secure that world championship for himself and its fault season team mates Michael Kristensen GTM newest car in the field the Ford GT lambs Afridi frogger holding off the oldest car left in the field Charlie's foot and the TF sport number 90 Aston Martin the last remaining exponent of normally aspirated goodness in the GT history of the old shape Aston Martin v8 Vantage just one more race to come for that shape of car in the frontline competition will be the Northland at the Nurburgring 24 hours and the GT 8 version of that car in comes the 68 Ford 8th in class last at the moment in that train of cars that remain in podium contention without further help from sipes try to straighten up the dive planes so that's a good reason for making them out of aluminium rather than car police they don't splinter and you can sort of fend them back into shape track temperature currently exactly 20 degrees air temperature 50 I'm surprised about just actually for the first time or race closed the door of the commentary box a little bit of a yeah Oh hooray the 49 car is rolling can't get into the pit lane come on Henning you know my rights he can turn right now is he can't turn left Molly bleak it was lucky to get the pit lane he couldn't make that that that turn Oh so the 49 car going very very slowly towards the pit lane where is that car Wow can you find that on the laptop it's crawling 2:14 that wasn't as the pit entry it's safety car line one he goes past now but very slowly it should be with us any moments keep an eye out for that car out of our window well having increased there he is look it has he worked on oh that's just amazing after pit entry he is I I don't know how he's done that I don't know how he is doing this because that right front wheel was working in a very weird angle he's somehow maybe it's just the reduced speed on that car hopefully it's got real lights on that yeah well he has but you know every time he tries to steer now they were tears before if he gets to the team think of the tears they were gonna be now this is the drama's that let me it already put off atmosphere that was a second off he was rescued there under yellows and then had another off in the Porsche curves which brought out our sixth safety car and that's the tears in the eyes of Michaela the team manager thinking it was all over it's not they thought they hadn't got to the midway point this was the third shot on the same lap with the steering gone on the 49 well how long it just a lot of safety car came out at 242 it's now 3 2014 it's later and of course he's there trying to get out the way and you were talking earlier about him it's got the dollies on into the pits ending engquist you little hero you little hetero they carry him through the streets of Bratislava after this they might need to he I bet you he is I don't know what he's been doing but I Betty who's absolutely wrung out so now it's barely more controllable up on the dolly wheels because of course they're like shopping trolleys with with the loose caster they're all a make you wheels aren't on the grass out the Bears force of habit mentally drained absolutely and the emotion the roller coaster I mean for all of them up down up down up down see that the right front wheel is not pointing in the right direction so he's done an amazing job to get that car back knows his missing floor is missing I mean he was off at Mulsanne he was off at Indianapolis he was off in the Porsche curves it's surprising there's much attached in front of the foot well anyway he is the 69 car these are the stories that make LaVon really well like all sport it's not about the kid it's about the human yeah you know with cars it is different you know it's not a javelin nobody loves javelins because they've got you know something the cars do cars have something they have a I don't know it's just a collected assortment of bits of metal and other things but they have something don't they they're almost living things cars have character from this car little battler is not giving up and the and these are the stories are they just like in the Olympics it's not always about the winners you know it's a deal it's it's Eddie the Eagle here said in this case it's Cool Runnings absolutely yeah it's all of that because all of this is about human endeavor whether you win or you don't survive it's all everybody gives it everything it's all human endeavor everybody wants to get to the end of this race this race decides in this case and again quest has stacked the deck by Pollock something out and somewhere all those fans in the grandstands watching opposite and all those fans watching on television across the globe are all going oh now I really want this car to make it to the finish so just this just bolt apart their fan base by about a billion yeah they may never have heard of a RC Bratislava before they may have renamed may never have cared about them before but they do now they do now they really do now it's like trust me they have throw everything at this hind you can see garage doors coming down that is the semi-official sign that that a car is officially retired we have only one official retirement on our timing scheme option screen cars instead of being sort of fully illuminated are grayed out in the same way that an option on an options menu on your computer it's about putting in the paperwork the car is about to make it home to its carriage let's hope we see this car again they deserve another shot at this well listen they've got 11 hours and more to get the car out and get it running again it won't take them 11 hours think is that bad it'll be on track within half an hour and then these guys will draw breath again they there's miracle rocker in the rain jacket on the right hand side they'd almost given up hadn't they whip you know we we have some fun with this team at the Asian Livan series and we wake up bake up words on the basis of mirros name Moreau ik and I hope we see more of this only covers the way off comes the great stuff yeah absolutely right well no rest for the mechanics none whatsoever they are always on duty nobody brings two entire teams and mechanics per car so these guys definitely earn their crust 93 yep back to live pictures this is the car of Earl Bamber in from forth that puts Andy Priaulx back up into fourth position as the 93 car comes down pit lane because the gaps are so small help ambos out and in gets Nick Tandy who they're worrying about the splitter so Earl has been reporting a vibration potentially it's nothing tiny in that car is it yeah I think so because I think the red white and blue stripes on the Patrick P lace helmet were narrower three minute stop and go penalty by the way for the 47 the Lord the coarser settle our racing car exiting the pit lane on a red light now that's like trying to go to the policeman well why should you go through the red light well I don't know what possible defense there is no you're only doing 50 miles now in the pit lane not being able to spot a whacking great red lights at the pit exit instead of a green one it's not like there's an Amber option either who I thought I wouldn't make it into the red 91 goes ahead of 93 as Jimmy Bruni does not stop Nick Tandy is at the wheel of the 93 car taking over from Earl Bamber their double stint in the Porsche is a thing that was double again Pharrell looking to check that one out for you Chrome's got the duper [Music] my ball would not be fit in a game look at the quality of these pictures and you think we're kind of used to it and now the whole broadcaster is in 4k but you've only got to look back fantastic decade too grainy gritty part beats the quality of cameras part of it is the quality of the signal that we're now getting around the circuit because modern data transmission is so incredibly sophisticated and also because the French national radio authorities the FMP are are making sure that people aren't broadcasting random other bits of nonsense around and so the airwaves are a lot cleaner and a lot clearer with these digital transmissions therefore they would have been on FM it was a DJ double from Earl Bamber it's big doubles all the way through therefore that seemed all neat and tidy very nice of you to offer pitstop for TF sports Charley's which stays in the car comes back out he's still in second behind Philippe Froggers keating motorsport sport so it's Ford Aston Ferrari one two three into te am then Porsche Ferrari Porsche so the Dempsey proton car Christian read before its last pit stop was up to third now back down to sixth that's that's still a very close battle first is two thirds of lap ahead of second second is 11 seconds ahead of third third is 0.3 of a second ahead of 4th Ryan Baptiste ahead of York Bergmeister and by the time I finished that sentence might well have changed oh oh goodness don't do that versus scooch dream reading Rodrigo Baptista Roger you go back to so sorry but I think the the gap is open what did I say Ryan Baptista now it is Irish cousin Brian yeah but I think it's almost a lap that gap for Frogger as the yeah yeah as the team a RC Bratislava get to work they'll be happy now knowing that the density of this effort is down in the road hands literally in their own hands well at least the brakes aren't at a thousand degrees working about look out that at those wishbones are that's all coming off yep so ground-up restoration going on here they've got some big lads of this team if it needs a bit of grip grunt trust me DIY SOS or car SOS perhaps so particularly the right front corner but they you know it's been off three times in one lap it's taken them the better part of an hour to get back and so everything now it's going to be triple checks they're gonna Hoover all the gravel out of everything that car won't look as good as new when it goes back out because the bodywork is that race weary covered in grime and grit but underneath the bodywork with a brand new nose it will be absolutely primed and ready to go halfway through this race they thought that it we're going to bed at 3 in the morning yeah now the chances are they won't be going to bed until probably midnight on Sunday because hopefully they'll make it to the end of the race then they'll pack every then though I'm a severe right an old boy there will be some very tired and hopefully happy and emotional RLC practice lava team members at the end of this race at the end of a 24 hour race any 24 hour races of wondrous thing to see yeah you'll see some very big guys we saw the kala there it tears earlier the emotion got the better of hope for a moment or two but trust me give this race if they cross that line that the checkered flag then all begin tears yeah no absolutely right no question at all I might well join them I always get a sec you're gonna say they'll they will be you will see some grown men in floods of tears you will also hear some romance this too by the time we get to the end of the 24 hour race 36 hours of broadcasting every body is highly strung and emotional no we're not we are we will be we shall operating for oceans right there ladies and gentlemen now then in the world that you can't see from your room but that we can the GTE AM leader is within a few laps or one error from somebody of moving on to page one of the timing screens which sounds like nothing and gets you nothing but it does mean they will be in the top 35 because one two three four five GTE Pro cars are now behind the GTE leader Coffee the floor load floor loads hmm this is we're going away cala McNish up and ask him what the floor load is all about now there's a nose coming out in Toyota I imagine that that will be for the number-8 car when we saw the number eight smoking in front of number seven and when we saw number seven smoking in front of AIDS I think maybe it was the prank brother maybe I think maybe it was we'll have to wait and see but there is a nose ready how long before Nando comes in again back up actually because the number eight car is the earlier stopper of the two Toyota's it's 11 or 12 laps tints depending on what else is happening out on track we're on seven at the moment or we had a long safety car didn't we so this should be then a twelve lappa shows twelve up at five more laps hold on a break cast seven more laps for the number seven that's five more laps that's nearly 20 minutes before he'll be Zakir and that's rather premature to be getting a nose out and ready they're not going to want to bring him in a second earlier than is absolutely necessary for any reason whatsoever just look as though there is a nose committee kobayashi leads from this man Fernando Alonso so we had to want to not bet on third for rebellion so rebellion in SMP we're always looking for a foot on the podium at the moment the number three rebellion car has the advantage over the remaining SMP car the number eleven Alonso is dropping back in he's dropping back at a reasonable rate almost 12 seconds back from committee curve the ashes couple laps now we've sinned and drop a couple of seconds tell leader now some of that might be just a bit of luck in traffic we'll keep an eye on that it's on to the malls an the Tet rush well though the course although of course when it is a 12 kilometer lap and he's Louie he lost two seconds on that last lap so he's losing a second the kilometer now that's quite a lot in World Rally terms and insolently a managed got the hammer down right now Pastor Maldonado third position in lmp2 has come through with a 329 607 took nearly 10 seconds out of hundreds of ground that time the gap still 73 seconds yeah but that's motoring course my mat isn't very good 12 kilometers he's losing two seconds he's not losing a second Lee kilometer Martin you idiot he's losing a second every six kilometers so it's not a lot of time but the team were saying about changing the floor because it is costing us time a second every six kilometers that's fairly noticeable to the naked eye and yet gradually the likes of the number seven car in front are getting further and further away the telling part will be this 77 it's it's lose it is lost time in a sector where he have no traffic and where the eight car the service areas seven car did so his lost time even with a clear run to Kobayashi lost in fact 8:10 to a second in that that sector yeah still behind by the way the rebellion of that Bert's on battling two and a half but it's a head but on/off stuff of that dirt and done and indeed on rail off trip behind him in the 322 steering wheel now the poor service we've seen has a steering wheel that's adjustable for reach and up and down and it's supposed to stay where it's put and that's so that you can adjust the steering wheel and the pedal box in a Porsche while the seat remains in the same place and that's to stop the weight moving around in the car as a shorter driver gets in this weight will go forward as a bigger driver gets in his way it will go backwards so it keeps them the weight balance in the car but when you lock it in place like your steering wheel in your car it's supposed to stay where it is and it appears that it's not now in your road car if you're driving quite quickly you have to embrace yourself against the steering wheel that's not what you do in a racing car you are basically welded into the seat and your arms and legs are loose so that you can control the car without your body weight being part of that so having to hold on to the steering wheel and keep it in position means that he's actually putting in steering inputs that he doesn't want 66 is in looking very battle-scarred stefan milk in the white and black are gloriously filthy by the way and dirty dirty behind him the key to motors yeah yeah Felipe Frogger didn't see the door pop open but I'm sure I've said Felipe fragra for about the last four hours every time I talked about that car that one out I've also seen been Keating's name driving it but I'm now gonna have to go and look at my entry list remember who the third reading : Oh Jerome Blake about my rotation it should be Ben Keating next to the car if Ben is gonna drive at night it's the end of a double stint for Felipe frog it will soon see whether or not he rejoins aboard the 85 as a big big advantage much of which was gained by some good fortune when the safety cars have heard by the way a lot of I could have put this crumbling from other competitors in GT am well they feel that the performance of that car has been rather effectively disguised by kiti motorsport and the run-up to this race by not having raised it in the World Endurance Championship and by not having shown very much services of elevated any track session up to and including the race however it's a poor GT so the FIA me a c-note know what it can do absolutely so it doesn't matter how fast or slow the Keating motorsport tribe is trying it because it's a poor GT yeah the powers that be have had four years of monitoring the performance of a Ford GT it's not like it's got a different engine no it's just got different drivers so if it's balance of performance will be its balance of performance that's all there is to it quick lap times coming by the way from the third and fourth place course they're separated by two and a half minutes that boots on and stuff of one dawn but both into the three twenty ones luster around three twenty one point four from the number three rebellion in the hands of Bert's on three twenty one point nine in the hands of stop event on the surviving the number eleven SMP racing car find a word on Keating motorsport sport for the moment it's not lapping five seconds quicker in traffic than any of the cars don't know it's not lapping one second quicker and froggit by the way comes back out and starts a triple stint yep I think Ben Keating why would you bring a castle mom if you didn't want to race at night I think Ben Keating will absolutely race at night we need he strikes me entirely as a sort of driver who will relish doing nighttime stints as much he does during daytime since if he comes in the morning you only see it from behind the wheel in the daylight did you even race at the month you know that's the whole point day night day don't miss some out it's like having custard without any apple crumble in it absolutely meantime continue to see Kobayashi just eking out ten to ten - they're 13 and a half seconds now ahead of Fernando Alonso the seventh from the eighth well this lap it was only half a second or last time round it was only half saying but you're right in you know a number of laps it's been two seconds and more in the lmp2 class by the way and the crow is beginning to make an impact on Roman rusinov it's a minute for 46 seconds that was well over two minutes Maldonado meantime is making further inroads into the growl at 68 69 seconds now haven't got past hope it suck Maldonado is up into third position and beginning to just nibble away at the advantage the synthetic out penis got softer that don't by the way the fourth place number 11 SMP racing BR 1 on pit lane on board again in fourth place with Nick Tandy 91-93 these two have fairly been apart the entire race halfway these two cars they've been right on each other's tails solutely one chasing me out there the other chasing one no notification officially but my beady eyes spotted drops of rain on the camera lens they're above the Dunlop curve 91 in third place at the moment preventing a Porsche clean sweep at the top three places is AF courses only Ferrari he only remaining Ferrari the car of our Santa Pierre Guidi there is the 51 car in shot they lie second ahead 91-93 battle and 92 is the class leader in the GTE Pro Class Porsche have already tied up the championship for mates and is now between the crew of 92 and 91 to become world champions in the drivers category indeed champions will be named if not quite crowned in the case of the fi world champions here because that will wait for the fri gala at the end of the year and the longer waits for an F I will championship to be awarded but certain will be recognized at the end of this race [Music] hope it's owned by the way is not giving up that third place easily just put in the fastest first sector of the 38 Jackie Chan GT racing or occurs race Jackie Chan TC racing never give up do they Jota sport don't know the meaning of the word just to actually just run through in the various battles since we're waiting for run of rates here is we're not waiting for much longer are we come back to LM Peter in a moment once we watch this pit stop for the number eight what the nose is out so be interesting to see what difference this makes actually to the pace of Fernando Alonso and the number 8 car I'm sure Fernando will stay in this is only his first still yes it is this neck is the only took over a full length stint 11 laps on their stints ok with no caution of course there was of course name this didn't wasn't there he didn't stop after the safety car surely no you may be right so it was only 20 minutes safety car came in so actually it's not a full length stint it's one short yeah there should be up to 12 course oh yeah no nothing the safety go it was over however what do I know particularly when it comes to these cars blasts away yeah under electric power to the end of pit lane green lights smoke on go as they say or in this case I see II on go internal combustion engine a replay of fans absolutely sleeping bags that's a replay foil blankets they all look like that it would be replay if they were it was still daylight right now that's just a shots of some fans lying down it's not like they're doing much a lot of them there's another minute in front it's been clockwork like minute and five minute and five minute and five from tota for the pit stops 200 laps now under windows notice well we're not I don't think gonna get to a record distance not with six safety cars in the first half of the race Plus full course yellow slow zones 93 chasing 91 still four third-placed Andy right behind Bruni [Music] waiting for Felipe frog in the Keating Motorsports car leaving in GTE AM to complete his first flying lap so he can either make me a liar or prove me right in my bold and a confident statement that he's not going an awful lot quicker than the other two TEM cars for looking down that list motocross Oni at the moment is aboard the Clearwater racing car pro driver 357 for Mateo 356 from comrade Eggar 356 from Ben Barker 355 from Vaughn some are brill it's going to be a one-minute stop and go penalty penalty for speeding in the slow zone for the number 70 mr racing car olivia beretta another driver 357 for him if there are penalties going Olivier beretta is going to pick up a fair share of them in any races it is a 350 5.8 from Felipe Frogger so it is amongst a quick quicker of the GTE AM but yes certainly right it's not a massive amount Rico he does a 55 points 8 behind him charlie eastward a fifty six point four so six tenths of a second on that one particular lab over 12 kilometers a game that's not a big margin that's not even a tenth of a second a kilometer as half a tenth that's five hundredths of a second a kilometer that's not a huge performance advantage quarter to 4:00 in the morning we're getting into Alan Partridge territory now I shall have a look and see what time at sunup officially should be around 5:30 sunrise 558 Porcia on pit lane and that is the lead car the 92 car Kevin s brings the cart down pit lane alessandro pierre greedy as he crossed the line 32 seconds back so will power through into the lead pretty certain it that will not be stopping on the same lap they hadn't before the Ferrari and the Porsche have always flip-flopped between their respective pit stops so it goes through takes the lead seven laps on the stint for into Europol behind are in that is another short stint for sure it's ten laps only to remember six laps from Ron's front or its ten from Kevin estra what is going on there well are they not on the right tire for the cooler track conditions that's the that's the only thing I can think of it's a garage the king champion car 92 Porsche in early and they're getting the air Jack's out this is the floors coming off its neck this is a big underneath the car job well there's the drama this is the championship leading team the world championship leading team estra and Kristensen let's listen we change the exhaust and brakes they offer the fraction change of the car all right early to change the brakes but it's in so get them done you're gonna need to do them anyway normally it's around 13 14 hours in you want to make sure it goes more than halfway through if you can so you know if you get to a real crunch point at the end of the race you've still got brakes to spare but it's the exhaust now we didn't notice any lack of pace in the car so either it has just broken come loose or whatever or it has been causing them an issue and eventually they've decided they can't do anything about it 93 has to take to the escape route there but that is now the battle for second Nick Tandy has got ahead of Jimmy Bruni or stays ahead of Jimmy Bruni Ferrari lead once more but it won't flip-flop back you know it won't because it's a minute and 25 seconds is the cap to second place Nick Tandy yeah that it's a big advantage now being drawn by the solo Ferrari the 51 car in the hands of Alessandro pure greedy he is the outgoing world champion together with teammate James Gallardo and whilst at the moment it's not quite bad news enough to cost the 92 squad the world championship we're gonna keep our eye on exactly what the point situation would be here depending enough much further down the order they slip and you know what and we while yet before they lose another place we've got 11 hours to worry about that we will just let them get on with what they get on with I'll give me some fun go on hello honestly I have to say points possibilities and they're at their multiplications they're not my idea of fun you can carry on without a lock anyway we'll just watch the race for second place Nick Tandy ahead of Jimmy Bruni but that is gonna be the gap to watch now it's a minute 25 seconds is the gap therefore to take a note off yeah 85.5 seconds in old buddy well no that's the gap between Pierre greedy and Nick Tandy the gap between the two Porsches is 7/10 has been up and down and doing half a second out to 1.2 back down to 7/10 yeah put the new exhaust in it's wrapping Porsche will not want to give up a potential winner at the Lamont 24 hours not in their manufacturers championship winning season Porsche has never give up and even when they all hope is gone and we've seen this happen we remember when they raced back against the lmp2 car remember when they knew they were going to be beaten by Toyota and then one lap from the end of the race suddenly they weren't going to be beaten by Toyota they never give up they never would have given up even if those two stories hadn't happened in the last four or five years in the protoss in the P class so the answer of the world championship is that a thought better will do in any circumstances for the 92 car but a thought better assumes the 91 wins the race well right now the 91 car is third but within fractions of second and within ten seconds of the lead the 92 car has already dropped to eighth and that means they're in the second safety car group yes which means they can't jump the gap again which means the AF quarter is now a safety card group ahead with half a race to go and it's taken half a race for them to be in that and that will be the message that somebody with a big as big a brain as we have and then some will be starting to communicate to the rest the team at Porsche they need to close the gap most plaintive and have a speaker brain as I have when it comes to race strategy afraid to say if we can the sporty they most certainly can yeah and they appear to be looking for further damage underneath that car I think was just checking that's new brakes you can see the calipers with the binding around them holding everything together when they're not in situ on the car they're held in by two bolts we stood have watched them doing fast-break changes they can do a brake change on on the car while it's being fueled and driver changed and tire changes it's it's a literally a 20 second job it's just the most remarkable thing and that's changing the caliper and the dish absolutely and connecting it and not have to believe it that's what gets me if anybody is used like me to tinkering with ratalie old cars anytime you do anything to the brakes you spend the next week bleeding of flipping things maybe it's because I'm not like these guys the carriage is 12 or 32 32 and 22 were running nose to tail I hadn't noticed that will Owens car had been in for a while believe me Albuquerque's just left in the 22 car they were seventh or maybe the floor is a little damaged the engineer was telling Fernando Alonso what with all that rubbing on the ground and smoky bits coming up Buddha Thor I mean I do I don't know you know we we are really having wild stabs in the dark literally in the dark huh we are guessing where where that sort of vapery smoky trail II think ever but it was so noticeable absolutely and for a long time hmm and then from the number seven car when it was in front of the number eight they mean it could be that again they were topping up oil and there was an overfill but it was a lot of smoke and on both cars indeed yeah I do know that they did some oil in one car that much I did ascertain from a source the team a battle on for Corvette Antonio Garcia and Ford Sebastien Bourdais this is for fourth and this is in the pack so one minute 25 ahead is Alessandra pa Guidi in the Ferrari okay so he's out front then you got Nick Tandy point eight ahead of Jimmy Bruni who is eight seconds ahead of on Tonio Garcia whose point nine they had the Sebastien Bourdais who's four seconds ahead to Ryan Briscoe who's eight seconds ahead of Andy Priaulx he's three minutes ahead of the 66 car all right so Sebastien Bourdais attacking the Corvette in front while fuel saving yeah it's the miracle of modern motor racing it's never ceases to amaze me what these guys can achieve 38 car stalls are left all the way goes that is very well hot didn't know you're in ho stays in I think that was hos chin piece of his helmet thirty-eight car clears and a big tongue it is myth 11 seconds still very much in contention for podium positions at this stage now smashing board a last time around three minutes fifty four point seven two three minutes fifty two point eight Mon Tonio Garcia and yet they're only one point four seconds apart which Garcia behind for day I don't remember him being there he has to have passed him not necessarily because he could have been held up and dropped back towards the Ford in traffic all it takes is a P car to dive in front of you in the braking area you have to brake harder then you lose a second or two that's all it takes I'll check them out but it's interesting is that the Garcia last time round was a fraction quicker and yet and so you're seeing that Garcia must be doing a degree of fuel saving as well to eke out his fuel to get the maximum number of laps out of that tank again onboard in the battle for second place in GT Pro Nick Tandy is in front of us we ride with Jimmy Bruni and Porsche team all eyes on the battle 92 by the way is still in the pits 92 is 12th in GTE Pro and will not if nothing else changes be world champions he has taken the position from Sebastien Bourdais yeah that's okay Sonia Garcia got by Bourdais and we have a problem at Marshall opposed 27 it's the part kalus is stationary haha top Dillman at the wheel of the car no major issues in Sector 1 or sector 2 according to the time in hosted against the barrier of the exits of Arnage is lit 27 yes please just come out of our gnocchi's and he's rolled to a halt on drivers right so he's out of the way of everybody well that's Russ he's also miles away from a Marshal's post and it's dark yeah I'm not he's not miles away from Marshalls person actually there will be a marshal as opposed to fairly close but that car's gonna need a tow if it won't restart is that gonna be closed out or is that going to require something more this is beginning to get into the realms of difficult territory isn't it for the 92 car because it's continued to drop down the order down advantage to 36th position and well it's dropped so far down and this is a marker of how far behind it is there is actually BMW in front of it yes and this is getting into Oh oh dear this is not good news for the world championship leaders now right there is more than we're changing the exhaust slow zone though yellow safety car was that on the board flashing didn't see safety car it said something so is either SC or SZ but neither a so a slow zone or a safety car being notified something very weird they're in live feed from race control of nothing show their agrees a road they could have been actually the light shining off the back of the board when I guess we're looking at it from our nosh looking downstream so is what the drivers would see this is where we need a screen grab from something who rewinds power and bam clutch I'm looking at you [Music] grams they are going to have a quick look at Twitter to see if anybody responds we are that's nice looking dinner I thought I thought Instagram was supposed Inc pictures of your food not Twitter
