Hello, this is Salgu Excel. I printed it, but it came out split into several pieces. In today's video, I will cover how to print this on one sheet and all the essential tips for Excel printing. We will set the area to print, arrange the necessary things, and make it look good. To print, go to the file tab at the top left and click print (File > Print). The print button, settings, and preview will appear. You can see how it is printed by turning the pages below. On this preview, the result is already not so pretty In the Excel sheet, all we can see is the cell. Programs like Word or Hangul allow you to see the page right away, but Excel doesn't, so you have to change to a view where you can see the page and check before printing. If you look at the bottom right, there are three buttons. Click the third button here. Press it. It's the same button as 'View tab > Page break preview'. Then, you can see the pages like this: one page, two pages, and you can see blue lines. The lines divide the page and separate the print area. I'll print this sheet on one sheet. The blue lines can be moved. Grab it with the mouse and drag it all the way to the end of the blue line. Drag the line below here all the way to the end. Then, the sheet is fit to one page. For a little more convenient way, go to the Page Layout tab. You can change various settings here. Look in the middle, the group labeled 'Scale to Fit.' The width here is set to 'automatic'. Click this box and select '1 page'. to fit all the columns on a single page. The blue line has moved. Click the height box, and also select '1 page '. You can see that the entire page is fit on a single page. Let's go to the print to preview it. The shortcut key is 'Ctrl + P' Once you press Ctrl + P, it will go straight to the print window. Both columns and rows are all fit on one page. If it's okay here, print. But if the text is too small, it's not really readable. Change the settings. Come out of the print window Keep '1 page' only for the width, and
for the height, select 'Automatic'. The scale has changed a little. When printing a table with a header at the top and lots of rows, It may look better to keep only the columns on a single page and rows on multiple pages automatically. If you want to print only part of the sheet,
there are two ways. 1. Moving the blue line
- Move with the mouse Click and move the blue line with your mouse
to change the activated part. Just this area will be printed. More simply, select cells that need to be printed and right-click on the mouse Choose 'Set Print Area' option
(1. Moving the blue line - by selecting 'set print area' option) Only the selected area will be surrounded by a blue line. Ctrl + P for preview, you will see that only the selected area is shown. If you want the printing area fixed, it is best to change the blue line itself like this. 2. Drag the desired print area > Print Ctrl + P Click 'Print active sheets' option in the settings change it to 'Print Selection' option. Then, only the selected area will be printed. Let's widen the margins Here, use 'Wide' This has been adjusted, but it would be nice if the margins on both sides were the same. Go to the page settings at the bottom and go to the 'Margins' tab -> 'Center on page' and check 'Horizontally'. Margins on the both left and right will be the same. Click OK The contents are centered. Back to full printing. Let's insert page number below. Go to page settings and go to the header and footer tab, you can put the page number at the top or bottom. You can select it from the list here, or you can put it as you want in 'Edit Footer'. Decide where to put page number and then click a button here. This button is for the page number. You can put it like this and put symbols like this on both sides. You can also put the page number and total pages together. Page number / total number The page number of total pages will be displayed. I will increase the font size a little so that you can see it in the video. Click OK Now we have page number at the bottom. These settings can be done in the same way in the page layout tab. Personally, it seems to be more convenient to work for margins and pages in print window as it previews how the settings will change contents right away. However, there are some operations that cannot be done directly from the print window. One of the frequently used settings is 'Rows to repeat at top.' If you print like this, the front page is fine, but reading the back pages may need more works as there is no header. You have to keep flipping through the previous pages. Let the header shown even after the first page. Come out of the print window and go to the Page Layout tab > Print Title. Here, click on the line you want to repeat, and if you want to repeat both the header and title, select two lines. If you want to repeat only the header, select only the header. And if you go to the preview, you can see that the first page header is also included in the second page. Enter the number of copies to print, check the settings, and press the print button to print neatly. I've covered things that we should know for Excel printing. It may be unfamiliar at first, but if you use it, you'll quickly get used to it. If you found the video helpful, please click ♥Like♥ button and have a nice day today. Thank you.
