I've had life experiences that made me think, "Wow, this is an insightful moment." Many of these insights revolve around taking control of my life. I'm about to share a significant one with you. No small feat indeed. Hello. As a "country mouse," I'm approaching thirty next year. Of course, it might not seem like it, but I'm currently 28 years old. I'll be turning 29 next year, and that's after my birthday. Some people start to think I'm getting old when I mention my age. That's why I'm sticking with the initial thirty. Today, I'm focusing on setting goals for a more fulfilling 2024. Let's discuss what my goals are and my process for setting them. But before we start, I recall in my early to mid-20s, I aimed to get certifications, learn languages, and secure a job. Or I considered changing jobs, and I had these ambitions. But now, I'm uncertain about what goals to pursue. Your late 20s aren't just about being busy. It's more about taking ownership of my life. I spent a month or two reflecting on this. Now with a list of aspirations, I'm ready to define my goals. Let me show you. Firstly, I noted my goals in my habit tracker. I'll display it here on the screen. This year's tracker is categorized into physical, career, relationship, and financial goals. My primary physical goal is to work out at least three times a week. I hit the gym when I'm unfocused or during lunch breaks. It certainly helps clear my mind of distractions, and exercising at the gym helps me regain focus. Therefore, my aim is to maintain a thrice-weekly workout routine for both health and concentration. Currently, my body fat is at 23%, and that's where I feel best. Before I started exercising, I was at 28% body fat. But it's decreased slightly to 23%, and the aim is to maintain that level. And no soda. As health-conscious individuals, we avoid sugary drinks. That's why I've stopped drinking bubble tea and cola. However, I might indulge occasionally, so I've set a limit of once per month. Also, don't forget to get at least an annual checkup. Employers are legally obligated to provide health screenings for their employees. Turns out, I've been getting yearly checkups. But now, on my own, there's no one to ensure that happens. And I have to cover the cost of medical exams. So I've been skipping checkups, Noticing that my friends also haven't had them in a while. Thus, I plan to encourage my colleagues to commit to annual checkups. Okay, that concludes the health goals. Moving on to career goals, The first is to post at least two Instagram posts per week. I'm active on YouTube and Instagram, focusing on short-form content. Currently, Instagram is where I'm having the most fun. It allows for quick planning and storytelling. And I've been receiving compliments. I'm really adept at it. The issue is, I'm not great at drawing, which hinders my storytelling. The results aren't aligning quickly enough with the stories. Next year, we're considering hiring a full-time writer for our InstaToon. I also have a background in cartooning and aim to enhance my drawing skills. Ultimately, I'd like to create more than two Instagram posts weekly, which I've noted. Last year, my goal was to post weekly, and I managed 54 weeks consistently. YouTube is performing so well I don't need new goals for it, so I'll focus on Instagram. It's incredibly enjoyable. The challenge remains: I struggle with drawing. And the second and third. I'm currently working on a job and have secured a client for it. My objective is to acquire one more customer. Additionally, I aim to win a bid on a related project. It's excellent to have ambitious goals, provided they are achievable for me. Reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Sure, that's fine. But from 100 to 1 million is a stretch; setting an interim goal of 1,000 or 10,000 is more realistic. So, I think it's better to gradually build up from there. Lastly, attend at least one external event per month. For instance, I could take a drawing course if I previously mentioned I can't draw. Or participate in meetups for freelancers and business owners – those are external events. This is something I find particularly vital. Conversations with others usually reflect my typical thought patterns. There have been moments in my life where I've gained significant insights. Often, these occurred by engaging with new groups or attending different events. Attending new events exposes me to fresh ideas and inspires me to do more. You know the saying, step out of the gray zone. Step out of your comfort zone, and so on. I'm committed to attending at least one event or training each month this coming year to broaden my perspective. Relational goals. This was actually quite challenging to articulate. What relational goals should I set? My first is to assist someone I know at least once a month. For instance, I've produced a lot of YouTube and Instagram content, as well as short-form material. I have friends who are new to this or who are working and wish to start on YouTube but don't know how. And others who create many videos but don't see results. I realized I could aid them, so I decided to dedicate time to supporting my acquaintances. It may not pay the bills immediately, but it's rewarding and fulfilling for me. Next year, I aim to make it more fulfilling. One goal is to check in with my parents at least weekly. Since high school, I've lived in dorms. It's been ages since I've lived with my parents. I rarely use KakaoTalk now and only respond to my parents' questions. But we should cherish our time while we're alive. That thought is quite prevalent. Sure, my parents will live long lives. But now that I have more time, I'll ask how they are. This is a significant challenge for me, so I'll try. Also, plan at least one outdoor date per week. Both my boyfriend and I work, so weekends are for relaxing at home. But time flies at home, and I forget what I did on the weekends. So, to create lasting memories, we'll have at least one outdoor date weekly. That concludes my relationship goals. Now onto financial goals. For financial goals, I focused on career aspirations rather than setting a target to increase revenue by 10%. Hopefully, the money will come as a result. I didn't set a specific revenue goal because of this approach. I'm interested in doing a real estate exchange. It's no easy task. My aim is to undertake one real estate flip or redevelopment investment. Currently, I lack the necessary capital. I plan to pursue this in the latter half of next year, but until then, I'll focus on accumulating capital and investing in stocks. That wraps up my goals for the year. They might seem modest. Great ambitions aren't always necessary. However, without goals, life feels empty. I believe it's beneficial to set goals that bring joy. I actually shared these goals first on my Instagram story. But then a friend asked me this question. "I'm in my late 20s and haven't found a job yet. Can I set a goal for employment?" Why not? That way, you're setting goals for yourself, not for others or for show. More importantly, consider how you can live a more fulfilling life in the coming year and document it. And guys, this is really super TMI. I really don't care about what others are doing these days. When a friend leaves their job, you might think, "Aha! A friend starts a business, Oh, interesting. In this way, you gradually lose interest in others, and all you focus on is improving your own life. So, I've heard people say, "I'm afraid of getting older," or "I'm scared," and so on. That's what I thought in my mid-20s. I wanted to age more slowly. But now I realize that aging isn't so bad. If anything, it seems quite cool. So you know, it's not about being old, but in my work and relationships, I sometimes reference my age. But to those who are older, it often looks cool in its own right. He's 35 years old, imagine the experiences he's had, the thoughts in his mind? Many people I've met in their mid-30s have had their lives well-established for a few decades. Seeing this has inspired me to become a cool adult like them. Oh, and by the way, everyone, I set goals, so we have Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 on our calendar. Here are my objectives for Q1 in terms of physical, career, relational, and financial goals. Then I list the steps needed to achieve the above goals in Q1. So that's what I've outlined for Q1. I haven't planned out the second, third, and fourth quarters yet. Because my interests change monthly, and so do my plans. Q2 spans April through June. I think late March would be an ideal time to get together. That concludes today's video. Previously, I made a video titled "Organize Your Fixed Expenses." As the year draws to a close, I encourage you to review your fixed expenses and explore adjustments. It would be fantastic to set some goals for the coming year together. Remember, this is for you, not for me, right? Oops, I'm reminding you again. Thank you for joining us today. Hello!
