Hello, this is AV Plaza Rock and Roll. I am Deputy Director Hwang. Last time, we filmed a video comparing amplifiers and uploaded it. They said the videos comparing and demonstrating the products were really good. Today I'm going to compare speakers. We have prepared four sets of bookshelf speakers. Macintosh XR50, Tannoy Autograph Mini, B&W 705 S3 Lastly, Fine Audio's vintage classic VIII SM. We will briefly introduce the four models. We'll also tell you why we recommend it. I will also prepare a comparison demonstration video. The first speaker we will introduce is Macintosh’s XR50. Some of you may not know, but Macintosh also makes speakers. The current lineup is XRT 2.1K, XRT1.1K, XR100, XR50 There are four models: A new model called ML-1 is scheduled to be released. XR50 is the only bookshelf speaker among Macintosh speakers. The shape becomes slightly narrower towards the back. 3-way bass reflex speaker What catches the eye is the unique unit composition. XR50 is still a standard style. In the case of XR100, XRT 1.1K, and XRT 2.1K, there are quite a few units. The XR50 has a 0.75-inch tweeter and two 1-inch midranges. Consists of a 6-inch woofer The more units there are, the more distributed the load is. By distributing the load, it is possible to reproduce sound without distortion. The manufacturer says that this broadens the dynamic range. The second speaker we will look at is B&W's 705 S3. After launching the 800 D4 series, the new 700 S3 line was launched. We invested a lot of technology into the 800 series. New tweeter grille mesh, ventilated voice coil, Nautilus tube loading system, etc. Newly manufactured carbon dome tweeter And cabinets to reduce diffraction, biomimetic suspension, etc. We have launched a completely upgraded new product. In particular, it can be said to be B&W’s signature. Bookshelf speaker 705 S3 with tweeter on top It can be said to be a model that shows good price-performance ratio. Colors include satin white, piano glass black, and the newly released mocha. There are three choices: The newly designed stand also further completed the sense of unity. It also has beauty The third speaker we will look at is Tannoy's Autograph Mini. Made and designed in the UK. A shortened version of the Tannoy Autograph design from the 1950s. You can think of it as a miniature. The appearance is also very similar. The front oatmeal grill is removable. Luxurious materials and selected drivers were used. Very well made, retaining the feel of the original Autograph. I think it can be said to be a solidly built model. It's Tannoy's unrivaled, very original unit. Dual concentric unit is applied The 4-inch mid-bass is a traditional pulp cone. Twitter located in the center It can be said that Tannoy's coaxial design has been perfectly implemented. Powerful dynamics show performance that exceeds its size. I think those aspects can be said to be the charm of the Autograph Mini. The fourth model we will look at is Fine Audio's Vintage Classic VIII SM. Fine Audio was founded in Scotland in 2017 and emerged like a comet. This is a manufacturer that has attracted a lot of attention from people. The fragmentary history is short, but Manufacturing technology is due to producers with a long history. can never be looked down on Vintage Classic VIII SM It can be considered a mini version of the vintage classic VIII. Although it is small in size, it is a product that gives you a classic feel. Isoflare 8 inch coaxial unit BaseTrax Tratrix and Fine Flute technologies are applied equally. Provides agile and dynamic sound in a small body Attachment of grill on the back as seen in the vintage classic line And even a customizable presence control knob on the front. It's just a mini version of the weight class. It can be said to be a bookshelf speaker with the same technology and design. Now, let’s watch the demonstration video we prepared. It's okay to say it's a general review, but one comment at a time We first introduced you to the XR50. The XR50 is compact but quite spacious. Especially when connected to Macintosh products of the same brand. I think the richness of the low range is much more vivid. So an all-rounder If you listen to pop, rock, trot, and pop music, Probably the most all-rounder of these four models. There is another advantage when connected to Macintosh. The light comes on. The logo in front lights up green. That part is also quite attractive. Macintosh's know-how has been well-dissolved I think this is a product worth checking out at least once. To summarize in one line, it is optimized for pop and rock. And it goes really well with the Macintosh. B&W's 705 S3 may have clear physical limitations, but It boasts a lively and dynamic mid-bass sound that goes beyond that. In particular, it is a speaker that resonates well in any genre. Also, I would like to give it a high score for being a speaker with more freedom in amplifier matching. Enjoy rich and detailed sound I would like to strongly recommend it as it is a reasonable speaker. The third speaker is a Tannoy Autograph Mini. It shows good balance and the clarity is also good. Above all, as I said in the previous review, The sound staging is quite wide. For those purchasing Autograph Mini I'm telling you to try setting it a little wider. Even considering the enclosure size, the sound is quite rich and resonant. Rather than calling it Autograph's small size mini. Autograph Mini's unique sound is fully present. Above all, the Tannoy Autograph Mini cannot be left out of its design. Beautiful design for everyone who comes to our store I don't think I've ever met anyone who said it wasn't pretty. Very nice design and very good sound that makes you forget the size. In the case of Fine Audio Vintage Classic VIII SM, This is a product that is both enjoyable to look at and to hear. Not excessively deep and with a wide fabric front grille The exterior is reminiscent of the 1970s. Although it is not large in size, it has rich and natural sound and bass. It expresses good texture. There are two main reasons why I recommend this product. It is a speaker with a warm, thick feel and clear resolution. Among those who like Tongullim sound For those who feel burdened by oversized speakers Being able to show sound that is above its weight class These are two reasons why I highly recommend it. I looked at four speakers. Macintosh XR50, B&W 705 S3, Tannoy Autograph Mini Lastly, Fine Audio Vintage Classic VIII SM They are all on display at the AV Plaza store. You can come and listen comfortably and receive consultation. This concludes the bookshelf speaker comparison video.
