Welcome to my channel, in Shanhai Jing, there was this Nie city in the source of Gan river, there were giants in real life if you go to Jiangxi, in Ganzhou, the locals would tell you about treasures, is the leader of Nie once buried treasure there? or the giants are guarding there? thousand years past, no one could tell in 1989, archaeologists dug a treasure pit from 3,000 years ago, looks like a great ancient story was coming out this year, there was a flood in Gan River, the villager were organized to help, and there was a hill, they got the earth there, put them on the dam An old man said, there was this tale about three umbrellas, long long ago, there were hills everywhere, under them was a underpalace, there were treasures of the deads, but as time went on people come and go, when their ancestors came here, there were only 3-5 hills left, no one has seen the underpalace, but they knew the tale, you just have to dug open a hill looks like a half umbrella, suddenly, a villager came and he said there was something weird in the hills they went to checked and found a face of a bronze monster, they stopped, and they reported the discover, people were talking about the tale, but what was it, not like a precious thing seems old, and dark, and this hill was not like half an umbrella, there was sand everywhere obviously it was the river, what if it was buried down there on purpose? the atmosphere was getting serious, and they were guessing, then another story was told in ancient time, there was this Xiaoyang Kingdom, and it was align of Chiyou, when Huangdi was on wars with Chiyou, they sent lots of giants to the wars the giants got black hair, big lips, love laughing, looks hilarious at the first time, but it was a pretend, they let you relax and they attack you they became cruel, they love eating human flesh, then Chiyou lost the war, and the giants went back, Huangdi didn't kill them cause they got Nie capital city, in Shanhai Jing, there were 4 capital cities, and there were two of them was related to Di one is the downtown capital, at Kunlun, another was secret capital in Qingyao Mount 2 were not related: one, north pole, the capital of Bingyi people, and there was this story about them, I'll share it later another one is Nie, the thing that came out, could them be the treasures? next day, the archaeologists came, and after cleaning, it might from Han, and might be related to Xiaoyang Kingdom, but not in the tale, but in reality when Liu Bang was the King, he changed it into a county,in Poyang lake, a half Island, in Han, Xiaoyang produced lots of gold there were intuitions that were in charge of the production then suddenly, Xiaoyang county sank under the lake, the gov rebuilt another county along the lake, that was Duchang county but no more gold til decades lately, the water was reduced, and the ancient site could show itself now and we found lots of sites from Han now this Dayangzhou village was near to there, in the same river,so maybe it was related but not Huangdi, Chiyou, even in Han, Jiangxi was so raw and savage if you got several bronze you might think it was took by Han people, with this theory, they kept digging soon they found something new, 10cm deeper, there was this figure of Taotie, like a Ding, everyone gathered, and they frowned, cause that was the style of Shang Dynasty, but I thought the Shang was not crossing Yangtse River how? a guy said, 3 years ago, in 1986, they dug Sanxingdui in Sichuan and they were more delicated than Shang, the big man, mask, god tree they changed what we believed, 3,000-4,000 years ago, except Shang, there was Sanxingdui, now in Jiangxi, everything was possible could it be another bronze civilization different from Shang? the leader said nothing, he just encouraged people, don't miss anything, just dig, the answer was down there Soon, in 55cm deep, there was a treasure pit like Sanxingdui, there were 3 piles of bronze, the first was bronze, Ding, bottle, sword and unknown things they just have been left there like garbage there were at least hundreds of them the second pile was jade, neckless, piles, spears, they were more in order the third pile were potteries, all those daily stuffs, in the most broken corner in 3 years ago, in Sanxingdui, bronze, jade and ivory, they were stuffing there in chaos, and that was so close to Sanxingdui so is there a treasure pit for sacrifice? that was a big thing another Sanxingdui that was beyond their ability so they stopped, and they asked for help, a month later, the top experts came and restart the exploration it was cleaned soon, and there were 1,300 goods, including 475 bronze, and in 1976, they explored this high level mausoleum of Shang 妇好(Fuhao) she was a female general adn she was the wife of the King, likely, she might be the top priest, the bronze in her tomb were considered the finest thing in Shang but now there were more in here looks like the owner was as rich as Shang 3,000 years ago, cause the bronze was a measure, the more the stronger the thing is there were 53 bronze agricultural tools, and in the whole country there were 70 in total what does that mean? 3,000 years ago they used bronze to agriculture, and central plain didn't, bronze plough, gig, shovel, chopping block, that was luxurious in central plain it was only for royals, the huge Ding, like golden chains now and delicate cups, instruments, sacrifice tools, they were wealth, but no actual use the host was not as big as that, and they were burnt, obviously they were for cooking literally, and there was a small Ding like a rice maker with a fire open, in which there were unburnt woods, and obviously it was a hot pot 3,000 years ago So hot pot was invented in Jiangxin really, unless they dug another hot pot in Sichuan Sanxingdui and 2 fish patterned spoons, it was rare, might matched with the hotpot, there was another one, which made the experts shocked, how to eat with such shallow bowl? for holding the hot foods? no we can't consider them with modern minds, and suddenly someone said what if it was a small ritual instrument? like the present box now, looks big, but inside there were only plastic, same as when they sacrifice, it means with little things, it seems like a lot they wanted to be rich but they also wanted to save things and there was a bronze toaster, called Zan, it was used to pour alcohol on the ground the only one in China why cause it has to be made in jade, obviously they didn't knew this, so it was not a traditional one who were those guys? more details came out first they found that the pattern on bronze was the same as Shang's mainly Taotie 鼎、簋、甗、卣,these ritual things were all in Shang style, except those, there were also forked tail and fish pattern and there were all those small animals on them, Shang never used that. and they got bloody weapon Spears and Ge, all used in wars, got blood trough, angles, and there were holes for poison stones and the bronze 钺 were heavier than the one of Fuhao, frightening, more importantly, experts said the one of Fuhao was not used in wars, but only for ritual purpose and this one is for killing, there were signs of blood and killing and the arrow was definitely for breaking armors, the knife here used the structure of machete like those in Arabia and Egypt no one knew who's the original one 3,000 years ago, these hammers daggers spears were nightmares of Shang, and there was this bronze helmet, it seems like it was telling us that they got better defending tools they were so tough and polite, could them be different people, like the legend told, the one who use ritual tools were Nie people the other who used weapons were Gan Giants? continue decoding, experts showed 3 bronzes, the first was this sheep horn mask, with the same eyes to Sanxingdui maybe they were related to Sanxingdui, and this one, with cables, more like even same from front to back and a handholder under it, clearly it was used for dancing, the last one is a bronze tiger and there were tiger pattern on other bronzes, so they believed it might be the Hu Fang which was mentioned in records, an enemy in the south of Shang, they got 3 main enemies, one is Gui Fang, in the north and Fu Hao was mainlt fought against Gui Fang, tehy suggested taht Gui Fang might be the Aryans invading in central plain the second was Qiang Fang, shitting in the west, and they got a betrayer, locked in Zhou by Shang, Zhou later became the Zhou Dynasty, named by Ji the last one is Hu Fang, with the least records. we still don't know how Shang coped with them and these things unearthed might belonged to Hu Fang why buried them? no one knows suddenly a new clue, they checked every inch of sand, and they found nothing they wanted: human bones they only found 24 teeth, what does that mean? unknown but someone said it might be a mysterious sacrifice, called chiseling teeth which was a custom of Baiyue, they did this when getting married, becoming an adult, meeting aligns chiseling their own tooth, the one next to the canine, for sacrificing, they do it still, now in the minorities in Yunnan and Taiwan and it was mentioned in the records, telling us the origin, in Xia Dynasty, Hou Yi fought with those chiseling tribes in Shou Hua field Hou Yi got strong shooters, and the chiselings were good at flesh fight with daggers but they failed and they were out of Shou Hua don't know where now these teeth, could it be a sacrifice? could they be the chiseling tribe? if they were related, then they must have something to do with Baiyue, Yu people and they found 3 proofs, first is the carving of jade Yu kneeling, with feathers, a bird mouth, and firm looking, like they were looking at the future the 3 rounds behind its head was a locker chain that was carved out of a whole jade, you could put it on that was extremely high technique, and when Puyi left the palace, he grabbed nothing but a same jade, sewed it in clothes for 26 years then he handed it in, it was the most precious thing So we know that it was more precious than all these bronzes, and it was shaped in Yu people, so was the Hu Fang was ruled by Yu people? the second one is that bronze tiger, looks tough but actually kinda stupid and the bird on its back looks like the boss now, thethird one is a jade plat. on it carved Yu people with feathers decoration on head Baiyue earrings, and it 4 huge teth, that was a direct proof of chiseling tribe, cause when they lost one tooth, they would install a golden one or a jade one and it looked like this, to show the identity now it was clearer, but one question left was there a tunnel from Jiangxi to Baiyue? to Yunnan and Taiwan? well, cause they were Hakka people, and they moved from central plain to the south for 6 times, massively, since long gone, from central plain to Jiangxi, then to Guangdong, Fujian, when they saw the sea, they knew it's the end and they said, if you see the end of the world, you're a Ke people in their language, I is 亻厓 meaning moving from Jiangxi to the end when they mix these stories together, they find a complete puzzle they were all Ke people that escaping to th esouth, they left central plain, and when Yan, Huang , Chiyou were in wars, there were also these Ke people running away from the wars, to Poyang lake in Jiangxi, building Xiaoyang but the war was bigger, Huang killed Yan, he began a war with Chiyou, Xiaoyang was endangered so they moved souther, to mountains, built Nie, and it was the heaven in reality, far away from cities like in Jiangxi Guangdong, Fujian, we saw those buildings, they hid in mountains, and though the earth was poor the condition was poor but they were in peace and free, cause they could live a natural life there with small outcome they might be those old man in mountains, and the Gan Giants were all savage men in Xia Dynasty. there was this chiseling tribe, they went to Gan River fo protection, and they chose these Ke people, teaching them making bronzes, providing weapons, at the river that Gan River combined with Yangtse river, experts found copper mountain and Ruichang, which were 2 ancient sites that were super old that would be another story they used these sites developing themselves, and they combined with the savage guys, forming Hu Fang they believed in tigers while Chiseling tribe believed in birds, and they love rituals, from central plain so they showed us the story here imitating central plain culture and saving their own specialty, and then there was Shang rising up killing everywhere the wars were back Gui Fang chose to fight till they died Qiang Fang chose to betray Hu Fang chose to escape, and the 2 sites were grabbed they moved into mountains along the Gan river findfin Nie the old men said cross over the sea, they were Baiyue, you should try live with them building a new world so 1,000 years later, we got the story that we shared in last video Baiyue came down mountains along the rivers, in the following 2,000 years, countles central people walked this way from central plain to Jiangxi, stayed there for a while, building this home there in mountains, and buried their treasures cause of the war they left Jiangxi over mountains to the seaside, and they conquered across the sea wherever you are now, you could here someone saying: 亻厓系(我是)客家人 they're as brave as tigers and Yu people and as free as a bird maybe their story was moving on since in Shanhai Jing maybe there are more in the bottom of Gan river in the mountains of Nie or overseas in the impossible place waiting for us to find let's call it a day now than you all at last the lady says please come back to reality this is a great story but there were no proofs but if you could print the pattern on T shirts that would be cool
