Hello everyone! I am Tony Today I will show you How to pan fry the salmon perfectly The salmon will be moist and tender I use this type of salmon bought from Costco It is skinless and boneless In fact, no matter if it is salmon or other fish In order to make the crust crispy The most important steps Is to pad dry both side of the fish After it is thawed and cleaned The taste of salmon is strong It doesn’t need strong flavor seasoning at all So put some the basic seasoning Like salt and pepper On both side of the salmon I add some garlic powder also But it is optional You can skip it if you don’t want it The salmon is a bit too big I don’t have a big pan to cook the entire fish So i'll cut it into small pieces if you are in the same situation When cutting into small pieces, make sure to cut it evenly All the pieces should have the similar thickness After the salmon is seasoned for 5-10 mins It is ready to pan-fry To make a crispy crust Coat both side of the salmon with flour You can replace it with cornstarch as well But the crust made by flour will be more tasty Coat the salmon both side with flour Until it turn from red color To completely white like a polar bear Tap off the exceeded flour Gently by your hand Then you can put it aside Heat a pan over medium-high heat Add about 1 tablespoon of oil It is necessary to use more oil than usual Then put the salmon into the pan Pan fry it for about 1 minute to 2 Until it is golden brown on one side Then flip the salmon over Pan fry it for another 1 minute and cover the pan with a lid Wait about 10 seconds and turn the heat off If the salmon is about 1cm thick Let it rest in the pan for about 5 minutes If it is 2cm to 4cm thick, let it rest in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes While the salmon is resting in the pan Let me show you How to make a simple mushroom sauce Combine all sauce ingredients in a pan Stir fry them over medium high heat Add in the butter and mix it well Continue to stir fry the ingredients until it is soft Then add in beef or chicken broth Bring the broth to boil and cook for 2-3 mins more Finally, add some salt to taste And some cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
