Sometimes we will find that when we press down, it should be The water has to come out from here , but sometimes we have pressed it all the way down. But what about this shower faucet? Will it still drip or come out? Or when we pull it up, all the water should go to the shower head. But why go up ? The water at the end of the pull is still dripping or flowing. This is all related to the water distribution device or your faucet. The water distribution device has many designs . This one I disassembled today is one of them . Not every design is exactly the same, but the most common style these days is mine. I have also disassembled other styles and older ones. The design is really different. I will share it with you again. Well, first of all, we have to disassemble the water distribution device. We have to disassemble the pipe of the shower head. We can use an adjustable wrench to loosen the pipe here. Remove the pipe first. After removing it, we can see. There are two heads here. One is the one in front. The one close to me is for the water outlet. Inside is the shower head pipe. Now we need to remove the head of the shower head pipe. To remove it, we will need to use something like This kind of wrench has teeth because it is not designed to be opened with a hexagonal wrench, so we must use this one with teeth. When biting, be careful not to slide on it to avoid damaging the thread. If it's broken, we'll bite it and rotate it. The way to install it is from bottom to top. So you have to imagine that you're locking this thing in from bottom to top . If we want to disassemble it, it's like this, and then turn it in reverse to loosen it. We can use our hands to turn this thing off, which is the head that connects the pompadour pipe. It looks like this when it is removed. This head has a water-stop rubber on it. After removing the bottom head, what do we need to do ? To disassemble the round handle of the pull rod above, we need to use a flat-head screwdriver. It mainly depends on your design. Generally, a flat-head screwdriver is used. If you look up from below, you can see that there is a trace of a flat head. We need to use this one-word handle to fix it. There is a pole in the middle. The pole is a bit like a screw. After the bottom of the pole is fixed, we can rotate the cover of the upper handle so that the cover will be taken out. Okay, here. Let me mention again that some of us think that the cover of this lotus is loose because its design is to press down and pull up. It does not need to rotate left and right. It just presses down and pulls up. So what do you think about the cover? If it falls off, if you find that your lid is turning around and falling off, then you need to fix it on the lower side and then apply a little pressure on the top to tighten it. In this way, the lid will not fall off. The main reason may be that it loosens after you use it, so the lid falls off. The lid I am talking about refers to the handle on the top. You should pay attention to the handle. Some of them can use it. Like mine, it is metal and some can use it. For plastic, you can't turn it too tight to avoid the plastic inside cracking. Otherwise, when you rotate it, it will be completely intact. A screw will rotate and if your head cannot rotate, you have to fix it here. This rubber is mainly used to control the water separation up and down. This is the hole or hole that separates water. The most important thing of the water-stop rubber is this water separation. The last part of the device is the head above . In fact, it is generally not necessary to remove this head when you are repairing it , unless your water will emerge from the edge of this head . You need to disassemble this head. If you want to disassemble this head, it has a flat design that can be clamped by a wrench. Then after you clamp it here, it locks like this . It goes down , so if you turn it like this, it locks down. Then you have to reverse it and
turn it up like this. After it is loosened , you can use your hands to rotate it. It is a little tight because it also has a rubber with a water stop on it . When the head is removed, it looks like this. There are threads at the bottom and locked on top. Well, there is a water-stop rubber here. If I just said that your water will come up from this side of the hole , then the water-stop rubber is broken. It seems that you just have a problem with water distribution. For example, the most common situation for me is that after the pull rod is pulled up, the water will still drip out from the front side. This is usually the case. I just mentioned that there is a problem with the rubber of this tie rod. If there is a problem with the rubber of this tie rod, we can buy this whole tie rod. It may come with this rubber and this one with a rubber ring. Then you When buying a tie rod, you must measure the length of the tie rod because I have seen several models. The length of the tie rod will be different. It is mainly related to the thickness of the faucet, pipe, and mouth , because its thickness is not as thin as it is. If it is a little bit, the upper and lower formations will be shorter, and the pole will be shorter. If it is thicker, it may be longer when the upper and lower formations are formed. The pole may be longer, so when buying Be sure to measure it well You need to buy the correct length of this pole , otherwise there will be problems when you buy it and you will not be able to use the pole. It is best to buy the exact same length. If it is not exactly the same length , you can buy a slightly longer one , for example, 5mm longer. You can't buy shorter ones. Short ones are not applicable. You can't buy them exactly the same. You can only buy longer ones. Here's a reminder to roughly understand the function of this thing. It's this pole . Its end is below here, right ? Hypothesis This is what we do. When this pole is pressed down, when it is pressed up, the rubber will push down to the edge of the head , and then stop the water flowing to the hooded head. After the water is stopped, it will It will flow forward from the front opening . If you pull up, the water will stop the water flowing forward from the upward one and let it flow downward. This is the design. So the most important thing inside is this pole and the rubber on the pole. In addition, when it was installed by the original factory, there should be some lubricant specially used for the rubber on it . If you just bought it, it should be It feels smooth and smooth , but if you feel astringent or stuck later on, it means the lubricant is gone. You can disassemble it and apply some lubricant on it, which is specially designed for rubber faucets. Then you can pull it up later. It will be smoother. Another way of leakage is that I mentioned the opening. There is a rubber ring on it . If the water will come out from the edge of the hole in the shower head, it will be this rubber ring. Well, if you disassemble it again and you have lubricant, please apply some lubricant on this side of the rubber ring before putting it back in , because when we rotate it, the metal may bite the rubber ring , especially if you already have it. After using it for a few years , the rubber will age after a certain period of time. If you put it back, apply some lubricant before putting it back. The way to put it back is very simple. I just said that if there is no water coming out of it, you can put it back. Don't dismantle this one and put it back together. Then use a hexagonal wrench to pressurize and lock it. If this part has a rubber band, it means that you can lock it to a certain extent. Don't hang it hard and twist the rubber ring hard. If it is going to rot , then we will check to see if there will be water around it. If not , then OK. Then we will install this linking pole and stuff it from the bottom up. After we install it , we will first Use a one-by-one screwdriver to fix the screw , and then lock the handle on top and apply a little pressure. Then it will be tight and then we will install the connecting pipe with the fluffy head. This one and the 4-point head are locked from bottom to top, so friends, you have to lock them with your hands until they can no longer lock. We also need to use this movable pipe wrench with teeth and then tighten this part. Because there is also a rubber ring on it , so we only need to pressurize it to a certain level and it will not leak. Okay, then just put it back in. This design is not very complicated. Then we need to check this. Is there any water coming out of the front port? If not, it means your water-separating rubber is fine. Finally, we will install the shower head pipe. This one is also locked from bottom to top. First, tighten it by hand until it is almost the same. If the hand can't turn anymore , then we can use pliers to pressurize it again. Finally, let's do a test to see if there is any leaking part so that water can flow out from the front. This shower head should not be able to discharge water. If it is pulled up , there should be no problem. If there is water coming out of the shower head , then there should be no water coming out of this opening, and there should be no water coming out of the top , and around the shower head pipe.
