[Music] hello everyone welcome back to my channel this is Rina and today I'm bringing you a TV tutorial yay finally this video is sponsored by a clip studio paint which if you don't know it's an amazing program to create illustrations and the one that I'll be using for today's video before I start though let's clarify some things today I'll mostly be showing you how I draw my chibis that doesn't mean mine is the only valid way the art world is full of possibilities so don't limit yourself to just my techniques experiment change things you don't like up your own touch art is a lot more fun when you just let your imagination flow with a picture now let's get to the point TVs are super deformed tiny person's because of that it's common for many people to struggle with their proportions at first as a very basic guide TV should be around two or three hits any bigger than that will start to look more realistic and become more of a semi TV or even a regular full body that said I don't pay much attention to these measurements nowadays they're more of a nuisance to me so I just go with my gut so don't worry if you feel the same way I definitely do not recommend following those rules to a teen but more like use them as a guide to relay on if you're insecure about how big should each element me you probably won't believe this but back in the days I struggle drawing TV bodies until I learned a trick that saved my life and set me onto the right path so the big secret behind my TV is are beans yeah you heard me right beans let me show you basically will make the torsos have some kind of a pin shape or appear that one can work well to the butt will always be at a widest part while the shoulders will be kept and a minimum width by keeping in mind those shapes you can acquire a natural curve to their bodies which will make them look not only extra cute but it can also help you with the flow of the pose [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] as you can see if we lower the opacity of the lines the torsos resemble beans it's a very silly trick but for me it meant the world and it helped me understand TV anatomy a lot better now that's what I do for my regular TVs but if you've been on my channel for a while you know I have another style for TVs that's completely different the glossy style my glossy TVs have a more cartoony style to put it somehow for these I use more rectangular shapes and their torsos are also skinnier it's what I like to call noodle-like Anatomy [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] see on these the organic curves of the pins have pretty much disappeared and they have turned into somewhat more recognizable geometric figures if you've noticed the hands and feet are pretty small on my regular TVs while on the glassy style they are bigger and simpler so as you can see there are many ways to do a chibi Anatomy it all depends on the aesthetic you're looking for you can use beans for their bodies you can use piers rectangles hourglasses anything it doesn't really matter what you base them on so as long as it makes sense to you so feel free to get creative you can also make their limbs very vague or super tiny with many many details or just go for the more simplistic options anything is valid and the choice is completely up to you although I would advise to keep the upper part of the torso somewhat smaller or thinner than the bottom especially if you're going for a more cutesy loop the shoulders and chest should be kept rather small oh and also the neck if you want your chippies to be extra durable then don't make their necks too thick it's fine if they look like a lollipop next let's focus on their faces here are some things to keep in mind when you want your TVs to look as adorable as possible keep the face shape as round as possible avoid extra point each ins like you do with usual animal faces keep the cheeks somewhat small too you can make them a bit more pointy or a bit more round depending on your style play the facial features eyes nose and mouth as low as possible if they are too high up it may look like a realistic head plastered on top of a tiny body [Music] the nose should stay pretty high up though not up to the forehead but not too far down either somewhere between the bottom of the eyes is a good place it gives the character a cure a loo or you may even want to get rid of the nose or keep it super tiny with just like a dot or a highlight it depends on your stylistic choice Chili's usually have really big eyes the vigor those are the Cure the character will look like just remember to keep them at a safe distance from each other keeping enough space for a third eye in between is a good starter's guide [Music] but smaller or simpler eyes can look just ask you to and they can make very fun expressions so don't limit yourself oh and you can also give the forehead quite weak I personally find the Timmy's with really big heads quite adorable series can be as detailed or as simple as you want them to be like I said there's no right or wrong way to draw them for example on my regular chibis I usually add more details the liner is thinner which allows me to fit more details onto the clothes wrinkles the hair [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] my regular TVs you usually see me adding lots of details to the hair while my glossy TVs I tend to go for a more blocky style kinda if that makes sense like I try to give the shapes simpler and easily divided like it apart another for the bangs and the rest of the hair [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] oh my god TVs the clothes are also simplified because I use thicker lines so I can feed as many tiny details as I would do with a regular TV [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] the cool thing about digital art is that you don't have to redo everything from scratch if you made a mistake when calculating the initial proportions for example does ahead look too big or too small no problem select a part with the lasso tool and then hit control T on your keyboard to get to the transforming options now you can adjust the size to your liking let's take a closer look at the proportions by measuring how many heads fit inside those TVs [Music] and well would you look at that none of them are either two or three hits but they still look pretty and most importantly I like how they look they feed my aesthetic that's why I told you at the beginning to not get stressed over these tech nice isms you don't have to take a ruler and measure each part of the TV closely it's great if you want to use the heads rule at the beginning but as soon as you notice that that gets in the middle of your workflow just skip that step let's go back to the differences between these two styles the shading follows the same guidelines oh my god chibis it's simpler because I'm going for a very adorable and squeezable aesthetic while on my regular chibis the ships are a bit more detailed and they have more ingredients color variety it depends on my mood but it's usually more detailed or refined and that's because I like to keep my regular TVs more realistic in a way at least more than the glossies [Music] so as you see there's many many things that can influence a chibi style the type of anatomy the details the way you draw line art if it's thinner if it's thicker how refined and how detailed are the shades you can be a bit overwhelming at first when you're still not used to drawing Chevy's but use that to your own advantage you can get super creative [Music] now it's your time to practice guys don't worry if you still struggle to achieve is after watching this tutorial I don't expect anyone to become a master of TV art magically after this video sadly can you imagine if we came out gods after watching and it Satori ad would be so much easier but yeah you need to practice and most probably experiment a lot with different TV styles it is highly possible that you already have the skills to draw beautiful TVs but you just haven't found that style that works the best for you I'm talking from my own experience here I've always liked drawing TVs but I never felt totally comfortable with the way I draw them until I tried them with the body like a bean and then everything went smoothly after that but only that trick helped me understanding how TV body is TV anatomy in general works but it also gave me confidence to try and mix a bunch of things that I like it from different artists and that's how it kinda came up with my glossy TV style are you gathering a bunch of references from my favorite TV artists and started doing studies started doodling many many different types of bodies and that way I realized details that I haven't noticed before in my own art like I used to make the shoulders quite big or I place the eyes too high up basically all the little things that I've mentioned all over the video it was only after those studies that TVs became a lot more enjoyable task for me so I cannot stress this enough guys reference and practice and pay attention to all the little things you learn through the process that's what will help you move forward and find the best TV style for you [Music] [Music] and we've reached the end of the video I hope this tutorial will be useful for you guys and let's not forget to say a big thank you to clip studio for sponsoring me I'm still quite a newbie on this program but the more I learn about it the cooler things I discover like this handy window where you can set as many shortcuts as you wish so you don't have to browse around the different menus and struggle to find them this is also very helpful if your tablet doesn't have buttons or if you have already filled them with shortcuts but you still need a few more thank you so so much for watching this video until the end remember that you can get early access to my tutorials and many other cool perks by supporting me on patreon stay safe and see you soon bye bye [Music]
