star and go like Stellar work it's like excellent [Music] um oh that's really interesting I was wondering when they would take the stage on the first take but we live in a society now we live in a generation where V tubers have taken the World by storm you know in the first early cases it was uh and she was one of the first very like AI kind of like you know it's it's someone behind the camera but they're moving with this like AI figure you know so they're not showing their face they're just showing their voice so now we have things nowadays such as hollow life which is one of the most uh popular vtuber groups out there and a lot of things especially in Japan they represent these avatars that sing and dance in the form of V tubers and so a lot of them play video games they do cover songs and now we have hoshimashi suse joining us here on the first take I mean I haven't listened to this song before but it's amazing that we have a v tuber well should I say In the Flesh does that make any sense you're joining us on the first type so one I'm curious about her voice and what it's going to sound like and two I'm going to wonder how they shoot the first take like are they going to use cartoon mic are they going to use a real mic like are they going to shoot it in cyberspace are they going to shoot it in real time just as if you would go to like a Hatsune Miku concert and she's like a Holograms right yeah really interesting it's really interesting to have visual AI here I have to I have to I mean people are not going to understand what's going on you know yeah all right here we go oh yeah it is with a it's with a real mic it looks like oh legit legit oh my God legit wow foreign [Music] that's beautiful oh my God I really appreciate how they also had like the same headphones that the artists wear they also animated like the headphones that everybody was wearing in the past yeah the mic is real foreign and then she belted out this crazy kind of vocal right at the start you know it really sounds like maybe this uh the name has something to do with it but it it really felt like the way that she was singing is like a falling star almost it almost felt like a comment s she comes in and you are all warning what what is this what is this what is this right and all of a sudden you get the explosion of The Voice [Music] it was so cool [Music] [Music] oh my God oh my God she has little stars in her eyes [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] come on [Music] you can see like her body movements how how immersed she is inside of the song so I think that you know she's doing a great job about like making us such a non-emotive character emote but the technology that is able to like style that it's uh really amazing too and it also feels very Japanese because like when you imagine Japan Tokyo uh Akihabara it's like there is the peak of technology that screams in Japan right right I don't think this would this kind of content would do well in the States because a lot of people wouldn't understand it because a lot of Americans they would look at this and go oh that's just an anime character but then there's another world here where we're not seeing because like there's a there's a community where there's a bunch of visual artists just like hoshimashi said where they're like a great vocalist and they're also you know an Entertainer in this way [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh that's so beautiful wow [Music] oh my gosh [Music] it's such a complicated Melody you know it shows her um skills as a singer to like seeing it like and what it feels like to me what like she's uh the love interest of a protagonist in some Mecca anime that has to do with the Stars it has to be a Mecca anime in the Stars okay her song is a sort of her tribute to the protagonist oh maybe it could it could pass it in a Guilty Crown oh it would fit kind of like an oena song [Music] so it's not more of the song where she's waiting for some something to happen but she's like acting like you know what I mean to save save that certain someone he's like I'm not Cinderella just waiting but more of the prince who's coming to save this person because I'm the shooting star that you should wish on another thing she's taking more of like the hero role that you know that acts to save somebody you know not a princess waiting around yeah it doesn't say I feel like a feeble kind of voice like I'm just waiting I'm waiting until something happens but it seems like um [Laughter] she does have that powerful voice but it does counteract with like the way that she is dressed in the way that she presents herself like on stage to have an infinite curl on your hair would everybody kill for that um [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] a modulator on a keyboard [Music] [Music] oh okay [Music] wow [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] I think that the piano really helps this song Come Along really really well because the whole theme of the song is Stellar seller right and she's like acting like a star and so the the piano acts as if like you know how like a comet goes through the air the piano acts like those little like like falling falling behind like on the tail you know so I think that um it's a very applicable instrument for the theme of the song [Music] can I say that the way that she's saying that here if we listen to it one more time oh my God that's incredible what what is she doing there is it is she like pulling the note can you do it hey wow [Music] [Music] oh [Music] so cute [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh wow [Music] [Laughter] right right right we live in a generation yeah it's it's incredible to see how much Soul she has in her voice because like you can tell the emotions from them being there like in the flesh but even through an AI generated image you can tell how much Soul she was putting in through her voice she was singing directly from the diaphragm she was like closing her eyes she was like emoting with her body yeah it really comes through it's like you know you can close your eyes you can really feel like the emotion inside of her voice when she was singing another thing I have to say about this is that um it kind of goes against the grain with like gender roles in a way because I think that what she's trying to point out is that a lot of girls just like wait around like in fairy tales do they wait to be saved by a prince right but then here because she she does come from the perspective of a woman she doesn't want to wait around for a print she instead wants to take to the role of the prince and Save Somebody instead she wants to like go out and do something to uh whoever she's singing the song to so I think it takes like a really good perspective and instead of that whole Disney kind of um created fairy tale for like Sunday my Prince Will Come excuse me I will be kissed and I will be saved but no it's like no I I'm the Prince now in a lot of stories where like female characters would be put is not not well written or like boring right it's because the author they would have no autonomy what they are doing how they are doing and this song feels like no I'm not a Cinderella I'm not waiting for anyone I'm taking my autonomy back ah okay yeah I mean a lot of it is like the female interaction written by males you know yeah so it's written like oh these are females are there they're Meek they want to be saved they really want for men they belong in the kitchen etc etc et cetera and that's not the perspective of women at all but you know because it's written from her perspective um and everybody knows that Trope of like the prince coming to save you then she she wrote a very beautiful song that kind of adheres to that uh perspective that like you know women can also play the role in Saving somebody as well yeah foreign [Music] foreign this is a really um interesting performance you know because like you know we're giving we're giving the visuals and we're expecting If You Close Your Eyes Of course like she's singing but then you see this you see like a clothes that she's wearing you see the voice that she's giving and then she's also giving off like this story where you know she's she's taking she's taking the stage as a as a heroine you know who wields a sword like I'm the shooting star I'm here to save you kind of thing yeah so it was really interesting to see all of those components combined into one money [Music] yes [Music] foreign
