I've been living here for 20 years this year. I quit my job in Tokyo and moved here, I live alone, so I can't make ends meet if I don't work. I was 45 years old when I moved, so At first I was worried about whether I would have a job, but Of course, unless you are picky, There are jobs, big and small. Especially since this is a summer resort area. During the busy summer season, There is a shortage of human resources everywhere, At the restaurant where I worked, They were hiring a large number of part-time workers and temporary workers. However, in winter, the opposite is true, as there are not many tourists, so there is no need for manpower. As a result, there are fewer jobs in tourism services during the winter. Throughout the year, The difference between when I'm busy at work and when I'm free is too great depending on the season. If you are a full-time employee, you will receive a flat salary throughout the year. If you work part-time, you won't have any work in the winter, and your income will decrease accordingly. The hotel I worked at had a large capital, so There are also good welfare benefits for employees. I can't take time off during the busy season, so I use it during the off-season. However, the tourism industry always faces a shortage of human resources. Therefore, even if you are older, you are often employed relatively.
