The wild cherry trees at my house are in full bloom. Outside, the chirping of ``Gabichou'' is a lively sound. Garden work is progressing slowly. And I finally planted the flower seedlings I bought a month ago. I wanted to see the petals fall, so I went to the row of cherry blossom trees in Kabura. Now, this time, I'm going to talk about what happened to my job after moving here 20 years ago. Is there a job available in the place you moved to? I would like to talk a little bit about this. However, this is my personal experience, so I don't know if it will be helpful to you. In November 2004, I moved from Tokyo, where I was accustomed to living, to the southern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake. I've been living here for 20 years this year. I quit my job in Tokyo and moved here, I live alone, so I can't make ends meet if I don't work. First of all, after moving, Register with a temporary staffing company in the city where I live, This staffing company introduced me to a job right away. Before I could go to the local employment security office, I decided to work at the company I was assigned to. It was a food manufacturing company. The work I did was paperwork related to invoices. There, I changed from a temporary worker to a part-time worker, After working for about seven years, the company went bankrupt and I had to quit. Next, I worked for two years at a souvenir shop where tour buses stop by. After that, I worked at a restaurant in a certain hotel. I worked there for seven and a half years. Roughly speaking, this is what happened after moving to the southern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake. This is my work history for 20 years. I was 45 years old when I moved, so At first I was worried about whether I would have a job, but Of course, unless you are picky, There are jobs, big and small. Especially since this is a summer resort area. During the busy summer season, There is a shortage of human resources everywhere, At the restaurant where I worked, They were hiring a large number of part-time workers and temporary workers. However, in winter, the opposite is true, as there are not many tourists, so there is no need for manpower. As a result, there are fewer jobs in tourism services during the winter. Throughout the year, The difference between when I'm busy at work and when I'm free is too great depending on the season. If you are a full-time employee, you will receive a flat salary throughout the year. If you work part-time, you won't have any work in the winter, and your income will decrease accordingly. (The sweet is a banana and chocolate dessert, based on a popular Korean recipe) In my case, of course I work part-time, so There is less work in winter. The hotel I worked at had a large capital, so There are also good welfare benefits for employees. I can't take time off during the busy season, so I use it during the off-season. The period from December to February is designated as paid vacation consumption month. Even though I didn't have many hours to work, I used a lot of paid time to supplement my income. However, the tourism industry always faces a shortage of human resources. Therefore, even if you are older, you are often employed relatively. There is also the problem of reduced income in winter, When it comes to making a living, To be honest, it may be harsh. However, there is also a ski resort in this area, For example, in the summer I work at a resort, I have a friend who works at a ski resort in the winter. There are also factories that allow work only during the winter season. Farmers who are out of work in the winter often work at these factories. In fact, a friend of mine worked like this. Also, some people who immigrated after reaching retirement age, Some people have the financial means to spend their time leisurely, but Even if they have the financial means, some people still want to work a little. For companies, stores, etc. I know some people who work 2 or 3 days a week. Although the city I live in is rural, there are quite a few shops. In addition, there is also work at a production house for vegetables and flower seedlings. There are also many people who work for general companies regardless of the season. (Yaki niramanju is a recipe from "Kumano Genkai shokudou") I also hear that there are many full-time jobs for young people. Also, those who work remotely, online, or as freelancers, I have very little information, so I don't really understand. I have been living here for 20 years, and this is how I am able to live. Even if you think about it seriously, it might turn out to be okay. By the way, at the end of 2022, I will I stopped working full time. But then, how do you make a living? Some people may have doubts about that. I received the pension that I would normally receive at age 65 at age 63 (the amount paid will be reduced). The rest is YouTube revenue, I have income from a miscellaneous goods store where I work 4-6 days a month. I make a living from them. And I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I continued to live in Tokyo instead of moving. No, I'm sure they must have moved to this area. After all, I can't imagine myself continuing to live in Tokyo. This is also my personal story, so it may not be of much use as a reference. Thank you for reading to the end.
