Visit Japan Web is a tool developed by the Japan Digital Agency. In the past, when entering Japan, you had to fill in a white entry form and customs declaration like this. Once the form has Visit Japan Web, you can fill it out in Taiwan before departing for Japan . Once you get your luggage and arrive in Japan, you can directly show your QR Code to the customs. The entire entry process will be much faster . Then the next step is You can start the first step to create a Visit Japan Web account . First, go to the Visit Japan Web page . Scroll down directly to the place to create a new account. Click on it. After agreeing to the two precautions , you can start typing. Remember to enter what you most often do. The email address used is because we will receive the verification code in the mailbox later. Next, we set the password . The password conditions are quite complicated. In addition to having more than 10 characters, it must also contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. with the symbol , so its security is quite high. After entering the password, go back to your mailbox to receive the verification code. Then enter the verification code into the application page just now to proceed to the next step. Then the second step is to Start filling in your personal information. Go back to the Visit Japan Web page. Enter the email address and password you just set and click Login . Next, it will ask you if you want to use multi-factor authentication . Multi-factor authentication allows you to log in to your account. Sometimes you can have an extra security guarantee , but in this case you will need to download another App, so it depends on whether you have this need. After making the selection, you can officially start logging in to your personal information. Scroll down to the personal information area and it will ask you if you have it. If you don’t hold a Japanese passport , then because we are all here for sightseeing , just press No here. It will also ask if you live in Japan. If you don’t live in Japan, press No. The next question is It will ask you if you want to use a tax-free QR Code. It will help you generate a tax-free special QR Code. Then when you want to use tax-free, you can directly show this QR Code to the store. Now most stores may still require you to show it. The passport needs double confirmation , so you can do it here or not. If you want to generate a tax-free QR Code, you will need to scan your passport. Then click Yes here and then use their built-in camera to scan your passport information. Okay, then after selecting here, you will start to log in your passport information. You can choose to scan your passport directly with your mobile phone or enter your passport number. Then I choose to enter the passport number myself and enter your passport number and name. , nationality and birthday , then it will ask you some basic information, such as your occupation and which country and city you live in. After filling in these, click Next. After reaching this step, your personal information is filled in. After finishing the last page, it will show all the information you just filled in. After confirming that there is no problem, just press login. After completing the login here, it will pop up a question asking whether you need to apply for VISA . Because Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan are currently They are all visa-free , so just press No and Confirm here . After returning to the homepage, in addition to your personal information, there will be information about a family member who is traveling with you . This is where you need to help, for example, a baby or someone with limited mobility. When your family members go through the immigration formalities together, you can help them fill it out. If it is a normal situation, it is recommended that you fill in your own Visit Japan Web. If you need to help your family members go through the immigration procedures together, just click in and fill it out. The filling method is the same as before , which is to select whether the passport has Japanese nationality and then enter some basic passport information. Then you can help up to 10 family members to go through immigration procedures . After logging in your personal information, you can start inputting you. This time I have the entry information for Japan. Scroll down from the homepage to the place where you can log in, enter, and return to your home country. Click to log in to the new entry and return home reservation. It will ask you if you want to keep the information you have already logged in. This is the second time you have applied for Visit Japan Web. When using it, it will ask you if you want to extend your last accommodation information. But if you are here for sightseeing, you basically don’t have a fixed residence in Japan , so you can choose not to extend it and continue to log in. After that, you first enter the trip. The name is to help you identify which trip to Japan it is. If you have plans to visit Japan multiple times in the future, you can enter them above first . I will enter the Hokkaido trip here , and then you can start entering the arrival in Japan. Just enter the English name of the city you depart from on the scheduled date and your place of departure. For example, if I am from Taipei, I will spell TAIPEI . Then the next step is to choose the flight . Here you need to select the code of your airline. Assuming that you are flying China Airlines this time, select its code CI . Then enter your flight number and click Next. After entering the flight information, you will come to the third step to enter your accommodation information in Japan . This is where you write down your first place to stay in Japan. For example, if you are going to many hotels during your trip to Hokkaido, just fill in the address of the hotel where you first stayed. It is quite convenient to have one here. The function is that you can directly fill in the postal code of the hotel and then press the postal code to automatically enter it. It will first help you enter its prefecture and city location . Then just enter the name of the hotel and you will be in Japan. The contact number is enough. You can enter the hotel's phone number here , or if you have roaming, you can enter your mobile phone . After entering it, click Next. In the next step, it will ask you whether you want to choose to travel with your family to enter the country. The procedure just now is if you have entered family members who are traveling with you If you want to help them go through the immigration procedures together, you can check the box here. Then you can start to the fourth step to fill in the customs declaration information for quarantine and entry. Then scroll down to the bottom and click on the quarantine area to answer "Do you have it now?" After you feel unwell, go back to the main screen. When you return to the main screen and start filling in the customs declaration information , it will first show you the passport personal information you just filled in, and then you will have to confirm again whether there are any errors and confirm your After you have your passport information and inbound flight information, click Next . The next step is to confirm whether the hotel address in Japan you just filled in is correct. After confirming, click Next to go to the third question. It will ask you. The purpose of travel here is basically tourism , so just click on travel and fill in the number of days you plan to stay. The next question is some content on the white entry information card that we will fill in before, and it will ask you whether you have been forced to For repatriation or if you have a criminal record here, you will basically press No here. When it comes to the fifth question, it will ask you whether you have declared it together with the belongings of your family members. If you press Yes, then it is OK . You help your family members bring all the items they bring and add them all up and declare them together on your side . If you click No, each family member who is traveling with you will have to fill in the items they bring that need to be declared. Enter yes or no here. After pressing Confirm, you can go to the next step to confirm what you are carrying this time . The next filling content is the same as the previous customs declaration card. It will ask you if you are carrying any dangerous goods , fruits or some valuables. For items , here is to follow its instructions to confirm whether the items you bring exceed their regulations . When you get to the last page, there will be an overview for you to confirm whether the information you just entered is correct. If there are no problems, then it is fine. Scroll to the bottom and click Login. After entering all these information, return to the homepage and you will find that your QR Code has been generated. The Japanese government will use the QR Code for entry inspection and customs declaration after January 25, 2024. Combined into one, if you apply for Visit Japan Web for the first time after January 25, 2024, there will only be one QR Code, so you don’t need to go through any additional procedures. You can directly show this QR code during immigration inspection and customs declaration. Code is enough , but if you have used Visit Japan Web before January 25th, remember to log in again before using it next time and let it generate a new QR Code. Only that QR Code can be used.
