Good morning everyone. My name is Misako. I have arrived at Kagoshima Chuo Station now . Speaking of Kagoshima , apart from the active volcano Sakurajima, there is Kuroge Wagyu beef and Ibusuki Tamaki Box. This sightseeing train actually has a super famous one. The World Heritage Yakushima . This time my friends and I are going to Yakushima for a three-day and two-night trip. This video will completely record it. Then I will quickly take a ride to Yakushima. Let’s start with a brief explanation of Yakushima. The mode of transportation is to take the Shinkansen to Kagoshima-Chuo Station and then take a taxi to Kagoshima Port Kagoshima → Yakushima (high-speed boat) Adults ¥12,200 (approximately NT$2662) Children ¥6,100 (approximately NT$1331) There are boats bound for Yakushima every day. It is recommended that you make an appointment online first. After taking the boat for about two and a half hours, we finally arrived at Yakushima!! Take a taxi to the hotel🚩 ecohotel SORA. A little unpacking. What is available in the hotel lobby this time? Next to the counter of the microwave and coin-operated washing machine, simple instant noodles and snacks are sold, as well as Yakushima's unique shochu. You can also buy portable toilets for hiking. The hotel room I stayed in this time was simple and clean overall. It had a refrigerator and air-conditioning and a toilet and bath. It was also the same as an ordinary hotel. Almost this time, the hiking tour guide I booked will come with a professional mountaineering bag , a raincoat , and your professional mountaineering shoes , so even if you don’t have shoes, you can tell them so that you can rest early on the first day and prepare to get up early to climb the mountain tomorrow. 05:00 Go to Shiratani Unsui Gorge. Good morning everyone. It is now 5:30. The most important task today is to go to Shiratani Unsui Gorge and Taiko Rock, the filming location of the legendary "Magic Princess" movie. It will take about a whole day to climb and then... .The tour guide helped us prepare a lunch box for us to eat in the morning! The tour guide said that this lunch box is delicious and I hope I can eat the lunch box in the car all the time... Don’t set off... This is the starting point of today🚩 Baigu Yunshui Gorge is difficult to walk There are three sections of the mountain road. The first 20 minutes are difficult to climb (Mom, I want to go home). I found that the frog is very big. Because Baigu Yunshui Gorge covers a large area, it will take a whole day to go to all the sights. There is no internet connection in the upper mountain area , so for safety reasons we hired a local tour guide. The river here is too clean for fish to live in. 🚩 We saw many historic fir trees along the road in Baigu Yunshui Gorge (I will stop laughing after a while) and the tour guide will cooperate. There are small road signs along our pace. The tour guide will explain the history and culture of Yakushima along the way, and will also remind you of the following road conditions. If you are really not physically able to complete the entire journey, you can also communicate with the tour guide for a customized itinerary, so everyone needs to evaluate it. Don’t force yourself because of your personal situation . Finally, we arrived at Baigu Yunshui Gorge, the first attraction. The rocks were covered with moss. When crossing the river, be careful not to slip. We stopped briefly to take a photo. I have been seeing the scenery photos on the Internet today . I was moved by finally seeing it with my own eyes (please do not imitate dangerous moves). My uncle has practiced it and kept going. I saw this... I found this tree that looks like an animal. What kind of animal do you think it looks like? I think it looks like an anteater walking through the forest. The sunshine is so beautiful. We have run, run, run, run from the starting point, passed the suspension bridge, and arrived at the place called Archsugi (くぐりsugi). We are still half way to GO!! 🚩 Archsugi is the arch. We can walk through the cedars and finally arrive at the Shiratani hut. The tour guide told us that the snacks are frozen jelly. It’s snack time 🚩 After eating the Shichippongsugi, we continue on. This one is a Shichippongsugi that looks like a blanket... It looks spectacular up close. We finally climbed it for more than two hours. The highlight of this trip is the moss forest. I heard that Hayao Miyazaki was inspired by this place to create the movie "Magic Princess" 🚩 The moss forest and the tour guide also brought his own tree elf doll for us to take pictures on site. It’s really very considerate !! (The tour guide secretly put the tree elf in my backpack) (No wonder he kept asking me to open the bag...) Keep going. Where are the monkeys ? They are on the steps. We found monkeys on the way . When we met monkeys, the tour guide taught us not to look at them head-on, otherwise they may attack us. We should turn our backs to them and move forward slowly. The monkeys will naturally leave the road and pass by when we see monkeys. Next, we are going to climb up to Taiko Rock , which is Shiratani Unsui Gorge. Another attraction is that it is the steepest section of the entire trip. However, there are hemp ropes along the road that you can grab . Just be careful and go up without any danger . Please turn around . It is worth climbing up🚩 Taiko Rock This cedar tree has turned pale due to long hours of sunshine. Our tour guide went crazy and did what he did on it... After seeing Taiko Rock, I originally wanted to take the challenge of walking to see the Wilson stump because you can take pictures of the heart-shaped tree there. The cave is also a very famous sightseeing spot in Yakushima. However, since I was not physically strong enough to walk for a long time in the second half of my life, I found that my feet started to hurt , so I decided to go down the mountain directly and play in the water on the way. Hey, I met a butterfly that kept landing on me. It was so cute. I will pass by it on the way. There is still a long suspension bridge , and there are no railings on both sides of the track. It is very scary. I found love. I am now back to the Arakawa trailhead. 08:30 half-day bus tour🚩 Chihiro Waterfall. The first half of today 's itinerary is to take a bus tour to Yakushima. We came to Chihiro Falls. There are three main attractions in Yakushima: Okawa Falls, Ryujin Falls , and the Chihiro Falls where we are now. We came to Chihiro Falls. There was a small shop here selling many specialties of Yakushima. This souvenir is the elf that appears in "Princess Magic" ... He said that it is made of wood chips cut from Yakusugi. Then he said that you can put it at home and smell the aroma of the fir. The tour guide just said that their ponkan is The specialty here is the ponkan scallop, which I highly recommend. I just discovered a very magical thing here, which is the fruit of turtle taro , and it is actually edible , although it looks a bit...scary 6. Middle This banyan tree is called the middle banyan tree. The size of the banyan tree in Taiwan is not inferior to that here. Next, we will go to Dachuan Waterfall 6. On the way to the middle banyan tree, we pass through the western forest road and encounter wild deer and monkeys. There are monkeys. There are many monkeys along the road and there are also small monkeys . The deer is more difficult. Photographed 🚩 Dachuan Falls is so spectacular up close! 6. There are many big rocks next to the banyan tree in the middle that are also very beautiful Now behind me is Okawa Falls. Okawa Falls is also one of the three major waterfalls in Yakushima. It has a height difference of 88 meters. It is one of the top ones in Kyushu and one of the must-see highlights of Yakushima🚩 Nagata Beach. It’s so beautiful!! I’m now at Nagata Beach. This beach is also one of my most anticipated trips to Yakushima this time. It is the place where Japan’s sea turtles lay the largest number of eggs. Sea turtles come ashore from May to July every year. If you come here to lay eggs, you can also find their footprints here... the baby turtles have to wait about two months to hatch and then slowly swim back to the sea. They have to wait for about 30 years. From left to right, we will return to Yakushima. This is the footprint of the turtles that came ashore. They climbed up, climbed, climbed up, laid eggs, and then swam back . So in fact, the long dragging traces in front of this are actually the areas surrounded by the turtles' footprints. It's the place where sea turtles lay their eggs. In this area, the two of them are competing to see who can touch the sea without being soaked by the sea water. The winner is announced. Hahahahaha. I found a very weird-looking Doraemon. After visiting here , we I also went to experience SUP stand-up paddling. Although I couldn’t bring my mobile phone to take pictures , you can ask the instructor to help take pictures. It is also a very recommended itinerary. The Anbogawa River below is the river we actually paddled when we did SUP stand-up paddle. It is very beautiful. I heard from the tour guide today . It has a total length of 16 kilometers . 🚩 Katagiri flying fish rice. The clock is in the shape of the map of Yakushima. The flying fish rice we ordered came. Katagiri flying fish rice was ¥1450 (approximately NT$316). It also comes with side dishes. This flying fish rice can be eaten three times. Oh! We came to the local set meal restaurant. They offer flying fish rice. The set meal we ordered was this flying fish rice. The set meal felt super rich because the must-eat delicacy of Yakushima is actually their flying fish. Many restaurants on the island will provide flying fish related dishes . It's very similar to kabayaki eel. The restaurant teaches you to taste its original flavor first. He cuts it into pieces and it's pretty good to eat. The meat of the flying fish is very thick and solid , and the seasoning is moderately salty and sweet. The restaurant teaches you how to do it . Use the toppings they come with and eat them together. Finally, there is dessert. If you need to call a taxi, you can ask the store. 09:00 Go to Miyanoura Port to take a boat and prepare to leave Yakushima on the last day... Good morning everyone . I have arrived in Yaku. I just got my ticket for the ferry back to Kagoshima at Miyanoura Port. There is actually a small store here at Miyanoura Port. Let’s take a look around and see what we can buy. This Yakushima Nagata Saltine crackers are a very popular souvenir here. The salt of this saltine cracker is taken from the salt made in Nagata Beach , and it is very special. The shape of the cookie is in the shape of a turtle. The wagashi is also shaped like a turtle in Yakushima. The two varieties of oranges that are abundant here are ponkans and barrel oranges, so you can see that there are many souvenirs made with these two kinds of oranges on the island . This is jam , this is jelly, and this jelly includes ponkans, barrel oranges and the middle one. It's passion fruit , it tastes delicious , and the picture on it is so cute. Another must-try dish in Yakushima is flying fish. Flying fish ramen is also sold here. Flying fish ramen is a seasoning sprinkled on top of the rice. Get ready to take the boat to Kagoshima . There are many taxis outside the port arriving at Kagoshima Airport! I have now arrived at Kagoshima Airport. This three-day and two-night trip to Yakushima can be said to be a self-breakthrough trip. What impressed me most was the SUP stand-up paddle sport and This mountaineering trip was my first time to experience SUP stand-up paddling alone. Although I was scared at first , I fell in love with the feeling after I got used to it. Especially when doing SUP on the Anbogawa River, I felt that I felt so comfortable and really fascinated . One is that I have been dreaming about it for a long time. I have always seen Baigu Yunshui Gorge, the filming location of "Magic Princess" on the Internet . I finally witnessed its magnificence with my own eyes. It was really shocking and beautiful when I saw it on site. Although the climbing process was really... It's quite painful , especially for someone like me who has no experience in mountain climbing. But I think it's good to challenge your limits once in a while in life. I think the characters of the residents of Yakushima are really very friendly and approachable to them. Is there such a competitive mentality? Even though the two companies are engaged in the same business, they will help each other. It feels like a small island where everyone coexists and the relationship is very harmonious. I heard that the competitive mentality is stronger in Okinawa. This time I went with All the itineraries that my friend mainly runs are booked online. Because it is our first time to go to Yakushima and we are not familiar with the local traffic environment and we are not very good at driving , so we all book online first. After the trip, we asked the local tour guide to take us there . I hope this video of the three-day and two-night itinerary in Yakushima can help everyone. Then we have to board the plane. If you like this video, remember to give me a like and a thumbs up. Forgot to subscribe to this channel and share it with me. See you in the next video. Thank you for watching.
