hi I am Mount West and I make music for games if you are a game composer like me then I think you have felt the same kind of frustrations of trying to make adaptive music with tools that weren't really designed for making that kind of music most Daws are actually made for linear media like regular music production or film scoring but if you're here then I think that you know how game music is different than that it's adaptive it's Dynamic it's interactive it changes during game play and it's unpredictable it's nonlinear right but like I said we game composers use tools that were made for making linear media using this traditional workflow for creating game music is almost like being a master CHF who's forced to use gardening tools instead of kitchen wear it's inefficient and it's frankly undeserved that's why I created the Adaptive music application or the AAP it is a result of my decade long career as an award award-winning game composer and I have designed it specifically for The Unique workflow and challenges of creating adaptive game music the aap's mission is to help game composers focus on your creativity by streamlining organization file management and rendering processes all within your Daw in its Alpha stage right now it's currently a fully working extension in Reaper and is very close to be ready for other game composers as well well that's where you come in let's take a look at how the AAP is designed for making adaptive music the AAP allows you to produce adaptive layers while you are composing you will do that by Saving configurations of midi and audio items inside what I call clusters these clusters are stored in a list within the amaps interface you can add or remove midi and audio items to these clusters on the Fly you can also duplicate existing clusters to create unique versions of your adaptive layers and more importantly it allows you to focus on one or more clusters simultaneously so that you can be confident that the Adaptive layers sounds great by themselves and together the core feature of the AAP is its ability to render these clusters into separate files automatically these files can then be inserted directly into your game engine or audio middleware which significantly reduces the time spent on file management rendering clusters with the amap is easy you simply select the Clusters you want to render choose your output settings and apply your Project's naming convention and then let the AAP handle the rest the a map renders each clusters individually creates seamless Loops where they are needed and ensures that every file is fully prepared for implementation in the game this automated rendering not only saves you countless of hours but also minimizes the risks of errors and mistakes that can happen while exporting adaptive layers it ensures that your audio assets are consistently formatted and ready for delivery and think about revisions you can simply open the prodct project select the Clusters you need to change render them and you're done imagine what it could mean to be fully immersed in the creative act without the constant interruptions of mundane and Technical work the AAP lets you focus on the reason why you're here right to be a game composer to sit and work with music and the AAP will take care of the rest for you the AAP is already making a positive impact in my own game projects and has impressed many of my composer friends who encouraged me to share it with the world like I said the AAP is currently in its Alpha stage and I'm looking for future-minded and Innovative game composers and music producers to join my waiting list and be among the first to discover what the AAP can mean for your creativity sign up for the waiting list right now and then visit my patreon to learn more to be one of the first to use the AAP and transform the way that game music is created and implemented for those of you who sign up for the AAP I promise you there's a lot of interesting stuff coming up here in the future that will fundamentally change how game music is being made by putting you and your workflow in the focus so thank you for watching until the end and I can't wait to learn more about you and how you create music for games okay
