hey what's up everybody all right yeah I have gotten a ton of messages why is there no videos why is there no new videos what's why this why that well I am swamped with work and I gotta make money so I just haven't had any time to sit and edit videos or even make videos actually I have been making a few videos but the nothing huge and a lot of people ask about Skynyrd right here and I haven't made a video on Skynyrd in a long time I don't the last one you've seen in the YouTube channel is the last time this car has seen a camera on it besides pictures actually so I'll just as a quickie little video here I'll just kinda give you some updates of what has been done to Skynyrd here first it has been named Skynyrd the Leonard had another name for it but on a live video that I was doing with the car in the background and talking about it the camera who but someone said that car should be named Skynyrd because it's a Leonard's car so Leonard Skynyrd I think Leonard wanted some kind of like death evil name for and he had something but it just I didn't fit it as well as Skinner did so behold Skynyrd again old video we're actually not old video just haven't done a video on in a long time all right so plus I think a letter would like to see this video too because I hardly send him pictures of his own car sorry Leonard but you just post up on Instagram and he gets to see his own car on Instagram obviously there's a help head in it and I've toured it tore the engine down a little bit pulled the blower off painted the block black and then we had them everything's kind of dirty right now it has been dusting and windy lately but had the valve covers powder-coated black the the conversion oil pan that has been powder-coated black the let's see I went ahead and made a whole bracket set up to hold the heat changer and this is a beefy beefy heat exchanger this thing has duel fans on it it's an half go set up it's a dual pass Affco with duel fans made a little bracket here and actually holds the heat exchanger and also acts as the valence support and the grill support at the same time because the original grill and valence support had to get cut out yeah I got a little sprinkled on because I was in the middle of making this carport doohickey thingy so but all that has to get powder-coated anyway so big deal let's see we have installed a whole vintage error system issue it will start will just leave at the front so those will be bounced all over this car so yeah we installed vintage air in this thing I got the whole pulley set up for it and Leonard had put some aftermarket aluminum pulleys on it which was like a huge weight mod because those factory iron pulleys were huge and beefy and weight a lot I had nothing I keep doing no okay I'm good all right so we did that I'm in the mint I just mounted the oil filter relocator and I just made all the power steering lines for this see I made the all the brake lines we've got a manual brake setup with a line lock Leonard had his three-speed wiper restored see mentioning the AC lines I just got these in the mail so these are the adapters I needed to finish making the AC lines so now I can do that you'll see the cherry pickers right here and the engine hoist and the reason that's sitting right here is because I got to yank the engine back out I have to modify a set of headers so that way they'll work with the passenger side starter so we have the factory bell housing on this which the starter is on the passenger side and in order to make that work see I made a little bracket deal I took a factory deal and made it to where to work with the conversion oil pan and all that and what not so Andes rotors got ugly looking just from water splash on the ground just support but it's got all qa1 shocks qa1 upper control arms it's got some adjustable strut rods it has the gusseted lower control arms okay made a bracket here to stiffen the front clip you'll see that there's all a see lines that's it yep and then it's also its subframe connected with torque boxes let's see what else we got out here all we gots a QA woman I think it's a QA one yet their QA one adjustable tie rod sleeves all right here I had to cut the hell out of the torsion support in order to make this transmission fit in here this you'll see there's two bolt holes which there are two bolt holes originally but this bolt hole used to be about here so I think I had to cut three inches out of both sides of the torsion support and then I don't like those after my early aftermarket deals you can buy to mount these transmissions in these cars you know it goes underneath it and if you mount if you've put a transmission mount like this underneath this look how low it's going to sit so that's no bueno so what idea is I made this bracket here pull the motor the transmission mount farther back and then made this little saddle here so that and then welded a new sleeve in here weld it and so now this is my new transmission mount it's pretty beefy looks good it still has room for the exhaust I think next time what I would do is I would just unbolt this tail housing and I would weld an adapter all right yeah I would weld a plate box in and everything to the back of the transmission so that way I can just use this chevy mount then the chevy mount will just bolt to the back of the transmission and then that would be all good so I think that's what I'm gonna do next time let's see we got the cooler mounted I know this is a manual trans but the Hellcat trans has a factory oil cooler so we'll put some adapters on it ran the lines and it's right there you can see one of the lines here alright so I just welded some fuel logs to the torsion support so that way I can run my fuel lines through the torture support instead of just drill a hole and running the hose through it with a grommet I think this looks better plus it's easier to make the fuel lines when you divide it up and it all runs up to the fuel pressure regulator up there you probably saw that earlier and we'll follow this on this whole thing is just being recorded with my phone so sorry for the whole jittery thing but I don't feel like getting the GoPros out and doing going through all that and editing so tough ya see me got our EFI fuel filter tried to warm my way down back here few lines go over and this is actually looks like a stock tank right but it's not this is actually the Aeromotive Hellcat conversion tank so it's got a pretty badass pump in here that'll support like 1,200 horse or a thousand or some like that you can see the fittings going to the what looks like a factory fuel sending unit but nope it's all badassness yep Leonard's car is for link conversion skynyrd anyway so it's got the coil overs and then what I don't like about this company they wanted you to bolt this all the brackets to the frame rails so they want you to Swiss cheese a thing out with self tapping bolts and I thought that was stupid as so when I did is I cut this made it long cup of tube made it longer by like a quarter inch so it actually fit the frame rails correctly and then I plugged welded the whole thing so the whole four link it is welded in except for the adapters on the rear axle that's just bolt on with the axle u-bolts we got a 355 no a 373 Locker in here so that's a all rebuilt third member with 373 s and a good locker no more sugar um let's see all right let me get out from under this thing my way out of here we shall move on to the interior Oh always thing is dirty can't wait to get the other car poor bill so everything will be covered again alright so we got the speakers on the ground there because I had to modify the package tray to put the to get those speakers to fit in there I have a new package tray for it I just haven't got it recover yet where I get it wrapped in a vinyl got a new headliner in this thing got a custom carpet made for it as you see the trans tunnel this thing is ginormous because the transmission is ginormous the whole thing is Dynamat at the doors all that crap you can see here we got the vintage air Leonard's got his four-speed pedals restored he's got one of those fancy doohickey gauge cluster thingies he's got a verse not a restored but a bluetooth conversion factory AM radio so basically they take the guts out of the factory radio and they put newer guts in it remember the name of the gauge cluster anyway it's fancy-schmancy looks kind of factory but fancy-schmancy all the chronic alright now we'll go back all right I just finished getting the tank back in and I've got the fuel filler tubes back in which I need to reek lamp these the clamps down again so that's all good now I need to start running lines to electrical for this actually I already pre-wired ran lines under the carpet for the fuel pump or not under the carpet but on the sides of the rocker there's a little channel there you can run all your wiring through that's already run ooh so we got freiburger and Finnegan's signature on the trunk lid cuz they were just here not too long ago alright what else it's actually a lot of details on this thing that I just kind of forgot about actually I there well that's a feel pressure you later but yeah it does have a new grill coming for the same because this is one of those first reproduction grills and they're just super flimsy like they're just flexible it didn't use the right ABS plastic so Leonard complained about it and the company's actually was cool enough to they're gonna send him a correct one or one of the updated ones so that's pretty cool um I got to make some aluminum bumper brackets for the front we've already got the fiberglass bumpers for the front and the rear trimmed or cut down so they tuck up to the body so those are already fitted I already made rear bumper brackets let's see what else can we talk about patina still sitting here I've actually got some videos on this car that I've done because I've installed the whole will wood pedal assembly patina has a whole vintage air system in it now I just haven't had time to edit those videos or there we go that's all plumbed wired functional patinas also got a line lock mmm little red lights work see what I like about the will wood pedal assembly is this is my break bias so if I want to go the autocross track we just add some rear brake into that sucker if I want to go to the drag strip or if I just want to do some big gnarly burnouts we just go ahead and add some brake to the front so circle track stuff Road race stuff now street car stuff honestly I just made this this whole I don't know if I have a video I think I have a video on this or not but this whole AC fan right here I made by hand so because I wanted to put this fuel pressure gauge inside of it because this cars this is a EFI car and I didn't want an extra gauge like on top of the dash or under the dash or just dialogue I just didn't want to cluster the dash up with more gauges so I figured well I'll just hide it in the AC vent and the one that doesn't matter too much so we had a kitty on top of the car yeah I just heard a kitty jump on the car hi Judy what are you up to today alright see bill went right up my ass alright so yeah we got there's a whole bunch of work I've done to this car I just haven't done any videos on it I'm kind of waiting for more parts and progress to get done on this thing before I make a video or post it so that way it's longer cuz let's see go ahead pop the hood and show you what's not underneath it alright see there's my whole Wilwood pedal assembly pretty spiffy and if you notice there's three master cylinders now because patina is giving a five-speed no more crappy non overdrive transmissions I gotta have some five speeds or six beats so that way I have some good and get gears and then cruise the highway so oh I just installed a Borg 'since steering box so patina down got borders and steering box there's the line look that's the line line look there's the line lock all plumbed and wired up all dirty know if you notice see there's the vintage air plate that's on the firewall and then when I welded the plate to the firewall for the master cylinder setup you know I decided well I'm just gonna reshoot the firewall so that way it looks all pretty and spiffy alright oh my god got some junk here this is actually 70 charger um this is off of Mike Skinner early I gotta fix that here 68 440 you guys all know this car um what you think Sam get that frisbee so the general is being worked on right now to the jet the suspension in the general was so clapped out it was kind of dangerous to drive you didn't know if it was gonna dart to the right or dart to the left when you're driving even just going down straight long you hit a cigarette in the street they went to the right or left just didn't know Smurf yeah actually I did like did some work to Smurfs it's got a lot of good upgrades on it and it's in the video I just haven't Earths and it's on a lot of these videos are still on the SD cards I just haven't done anything with him yet so that car has hot has had a new board is the steering box installed it had a new stereo system installed because I drove the thing to zip-tie drags we put one six roller rockers on it I think that's it so far I do have the still up the tunnel ram for it we're gonna put us that trick low heads on we're gonna put aluminum radiator on it the limiting water pump we're gonna take probably oh I would say easy hundred pounds off the know that I've already taken quite a bit of weight off the nose of the car but we're gonna take more weight off the nose of the car oh my got some really spiffy wheels and tires for the thing oh yeah some uh ten inch daisy mags for the back I got some eights for the front they look good I hadn't powder-coated so they got that old like bronze spokes and I had some be a crap brain fart oh yeah formula Superstock lettering I had those made for it so those are all puppies to it and we've got the murder wagon so I see yeah the license plate says murder wagon the reason it's called murder wagon is that car was formerly owned by a serial killer the car came from a police auction kind of hitter it's it's cool not cool but the car does have some history and the red wagon there so that one is getting toy boat that's got a 62 millimeter precision ball bearing turbo going in that sucker so it's not gonna make like buku horsepower like thousand-plus it's just gonna it's only gonna make rolling in a set it's like maybe 600 650 because it is just a it's a stock bottom and 400 and we're gonna we got some lool in the head we're gonna put on an actuator right here these are the heads that came off of murder wagon and these are just your 440 source heads what I had done is we ported them out not huge I just cleaned up a lot of the crappy fat we got some crap on the screen there maybe see better or best ur looks like it alright so I just kind of got rid of the rough casting and got rid of the sharp edges and rounded the corners and just mostly on the low side the high sided I really touched too much so low psychical was really crappy so clean that up and so yeah read way I get to get some rest repair oh yeah actually yeah point that's right Carnell well-read well he's getting some rest repairs it's getting toy boat actually you got the stuff right here I got a whole box of stainless piping I gotta make the flanges all the stuff I just pull I took it off the bench because I had to use the bench earlier today so I just sit on the ground but I need to get on that and we have some really nice trick flow heads actually right here so here's a tip for you guys big engines makes horse powers and they overheat on the street right of course they little dinky more part radiators in them well here's a tip tip for you guys ceramic coat your combustion chambers and the exhaust runners see the whole exhaust runners ceramic coated so it's the valves and what that does is it creates a barrier that keeps the combustion heat from transferring to the cylinder head which then transfers to the cooling system it works works really well I did it on my race car stuff and it drops the temperatures drastically so all my street cars race cars whatever I do that to every single one to help with cooling especially on the street you know you want to be sitting at traffic honey it's 115 degrees here in the summertime sitting in traffic you don't you just don't to watch the temperature cool when you're going oh oh oh oh no no no no no no no so yeah not gonna do that oh actually I forgot yeah all this sexiness right here friend of mine brick at Dan's dragline built me this axle this is what's going in Smurf so when I get the overdrive transmission and Smurf I had this badass axle with Moser actually we're in housing with Moser axles that's gonna go in that because Smurfs can be making bunch of s'more powers ants can be overdrive hi Sam what are you doing Sam Sam do you wanna alright let's see so you guys all just kind of like behind the scenes stuff I know I haven't recorded a whole lot so this gets a video out there all right well I need to commence to gank in the engine and training out of Smurfs or not Smurfs I can the cars mixed up there you go this car so I'm gonna convince to taking the engine and out of Skinner so I can modify the headers make them fit the starter and then I have to going to mount the water pump for the blower under the front pulley of the engine so I need to have the engine off the K frame to do that and then I'll make the put the Brent adapters on to the AC fittings Haley much doesn't work and I'm just gonna slam it out and get it done and probably not record it so I'll take pictures maybe all right well I will see you guys like bye I just realized I forgot to tell you about 426 that's going in the general here is the cylinder henceforth these are your hell rocky streets then I had Hogg doubt poured it and then took them down and also did the same thing valves are gonna fall out of it let's see if we can slip it over all right there we go yeah so I went ahead and ported these suckers also had them ceramic coated exhaust chambers he's Ostrow neurs and vows here's the other cylinder head here's the valve springs and all the shims I had my friend Gary in Wyoming he uh he went head set up the balance there he did the valve job and he the set the springs and all that stuff for me so I just got those back toward apart so they're all labeled of where they went on the cylinders so that's all good actually here's the oil pan for the engine I had this engine all assembled and then I dropped the cylinder head on one of them on the deck of the block and I kind of put a gouge in one of the cylinders on the donut on the deck so the only thing to do is just rip it all apart and take it down the machine shop and get it read echt so that's where the 426 is at right now it's getting read X all the Pistons the crank and all the stuffs right here it's all brand new stuff I even had the factory 426 Pistons and she those are right there I had the factory 426 pistons ceramic-coated - just on the top so that way it drops my oil temps down because I'm everything I'm doing is trying to make the cars run cooler in the heat plus there's the theory where if you coat the combustion chambers and you coat the Pistons that's led then the exhaust can't they the expanding gas from the combustion doesn't get cooled as much from the cylinder head and the piston so it's a bigger bang so know how true that is in theory it sounds crackling here's the tunnel ram for smurf that's gonna look so cool alright and then the general I forgot to actually walk over to the car and show you know on our way to the general yeah Sam actually some of what's going on with the general right here we got new qa1 upper control arms we got longer AR pitman arm and idler arms they might get faster steering that way I'm not have it adjust the car around the drift tracker peg let's see we got new bumper or you a lower katana bumpers we have new tire rides we have new Pro forged steel or aluminum tie rod sleeves that's more better and we got Wilwood disc brakes for it just not here yet YG d let's go check it out actually he wants to go watch come on Judy jump up no usually he's like just wanting to jump up on me all right see you later well going over the general okay here's somebody mess we got here like I said we got new beefy lower control arms we've got a beefier I Sam we got a beefier strut run pressure wash this whole thing the motor in the general is their engine I know people don't like hearing me say motor the engine in the general is clapped out this thing smokes so bad it's got so much is it it doesn't smoke too much out the exhaust it's a blow by out the crankcase but nukui ones are going on here the wheel with disc brakes so that'll give me three degrees more caster and which will be better on the autocross track africa now you want to come over here see yeah I see how it is we're just going the old gas adjust shocks on it and then I don't really want to put a big beefy sway bar on it cuz it's so funny to see this car just roll around the autocross track and then it actually picks the left front tire up off the ground when you're on the throttle and got it pinned and fully got out and left front tires up in the air so I kind of want to keep that it's just cool looking but yes the general listings shaking around a lot huh so the general is getting fixed and that's pretty much it for now I guess so I will get on editing those videos I have several that I just have not edited yet and I will try and get those posted up in the meantime try and suffer through this shaky video to tide you over for a little while so alright guys see ya
