“HOW TO CATCH LOBSTER" The right way , 2019 mini season

what's up everybody blue Gabe here we're in Kujo key opening day of mini season 2019 it's 9:30 in the morning pretty much every person in the keys is already diving but I've got Luke and Jake and Abram this video today is going to be about how to catch lobster I'm gonna run out here real quick catch our 18 lobster that's what we're legally allowed to have and I'm gonna come back put it up to where this afternoon you guys can watch it tomorrow we're gonna go out and do a full-fledged cool lobster video cook at the sandbar do a whole bunch of stuff today's video is all about learning all the things you need to know to be successful while lobstering that's what we're gonna do today so we got a pretty long run out I'm gonna show you all a little bit of footage going out and bam we're gonna be there see you in a minute so here's something super important that I want to share to y'all so many people dive down here in the channel you're supposed to say 300-foot from a flag right here I can't help it watch this the only place I can safely drive is in this channel so they've got an exercise caution with me I can't just do it with them everybody's got to use common sense here catching any shorts around here yeah y'all remember if you don't make it home to eat the lobster that you catch wasn't really worth it now let's take this long run out here and catch something I will see you gotta watch that that's fire coral you do not want to touch it it's like a thousand times worse than poison ivy there's a nice legal grouper in there and a nice legal lobster fire cold doesn't affect me I'm gonna go catch it barehanded I don't recommend that with anybody but hey I'm not just anybody I'm Blu Gabe [Music] all right I found it it's got some Lobster in it [Music] [Laughter] [Music] that's my limit had water by ear if you ever get water near you shake it I tried to tickle him out he didn't want to come out so I just went in after I don't recommend that for everybody cuz that fire cold conversely hey I'm not everybody here comes one through five that's my limit I can't touch anymore but I can definitely help my kids in the process we can get more in the right behind the boat I just saw [Music] [Music] [Music] did y'all tell me that wasn't cool I sell pan Abram get his limited lobster and just freak out - nice keeper grouper he 21 and a half inches long Booya and he's not even hurt cuz i dapped him to the lip all right we just got into the canal we're gonna pull up to the house let the boys get in the pool and I'm gonna show you all the proper way to gauge them I'm gonna go over my GPS how I do that look everybody's cleaning Lobster looky did you have fun Abram did you have fun Jake there's a what I will all right well here we are I got the gripper that I freaked out right to the lip not one section of his meat is hurt that Joker's gonna be good eat all right well a lobster cooling off and more or less dying I'm gonna show you all this tickle stick in the net the reason it's been a lobster is just like a crayfish his fastest route out of there isn't backwards so you stick this in there behind him you stick it in there behind him tick tick tick tick tick tick and get him to come out of the hole and turn around backwards like you're gonna see in the video turn around backwards this net they can see it coming so you want to ease it up behind them now he's his butt spacing his tails face in the net and you're tickling him in his face tick tick tick tick tick BAM and as soon as it does you grab the net like that the lobster will be in here boom you got it so you get it into her behind him without touching him start tickling his tail he'll come out and spin around and his tail will be facing out of the hole pull it out stick it in his face and start taking him sneak in with the net and go right over top of him and then take that net now he's stuck in that purse that's the best way to grab him if you don't do that which I'm grabbing with your gloves pinning to your body and come up and you won't lose it like you're gonna see him one of the clips with Jake he came up and the lobster was like this and just shot out of the net and went that's because he didn't grab him and suck him into his body sometimes they'll poke you but do you want to eat lobster for dinner at night or do you just want to get him in the net let him swim away so always gauge him which I showed you how to gauge him when you jump in and you're starting to look for spots little fish are a key ingredient if you see grunts or angelfish or mangroves snap or little yellowtail start swimming with them sort of get them like you're scaring them just a little bit and follow them nine times out of 10 they will take you to the lobster hole nine times out of ten almost ten times out of ten if you don't directly see it right there and you're drifting away with the current get back in the boat and go back up that spot and keep searching because more than likely there are Lobster there or there's a hole where there should be lobster when anchoring the boat oh if there's current you want to anchor the boat up as close to the hole that you're catching the lobster out of that way you're not swimming back and forward and back and forth that's also why I like a lobster bag I can put them in my bag and I don't have to go back to the boat so number one is make sure you don't put a short in the boat make sure it doesn't have eggs make sure you don't go over your legal limit now it's legal for you to help your kids you can help your kids as long as they're participating but you can't throw a little kid in there like Luke it's a yup he caught his limit because he did it now Jake and Abram did so that's why we came in with 18 always practice boater safety you know be respectful to other divers now that doesn't mean if there's a boat right over there 70 80 yards in your spot is here that you can't get in you can I do it all the time hey the oceans big but sometimes it's not big enough be respectful you know try to always debate you abide by your laws fish rules apps help big-time common sense common sense is a huge factor always keep track of your divers most importantly have fun if you ain't havin fun you ain't doing nothing so I'm gonna show you all how to clean these lobsters hull and buff back to the house I'm going to edit this video and get it up as quick as I can this afternoon that way maybe even if any of y'all struggle today my video will help you tomorrow so let me get over here and get these I'll see you all in a minute all right so the lobsters have expired you're freezing cold they're no longer with us I'm gonna show you all how to clean them I like to take a knife see right here around their torso take that knife stick it in there just like that it's done one good lobster tail now I take the antenna break it off put it in here backwards and then as intestine whatever you want to call that comes hell it's done so you can either all right so I just showed you one way to do it now I'm going to show you another way to do it grab his put us put his tail fan down like that and just twist that's done come over here all right Jake let's show you all how to do this no you gotta lean over your rings there you go all right Jake wants to show you how to do a second one so what you do is you get this thickest part of a lobster antenna stick it up there and as deep as you can and pull it out don't die doing are you guys I hope this video helps you I hope you can learn from it awesome footage I mean
