Is it too late to start a YouTube channel? Not at all. Today, I'm going to talk about tactics to grow your channel, cameras to use, and the editing software for beginners. Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Peanut Butter channel! There are many things to discuss today about how to start a YouTube channel. I'll talk about the mindset of making videos, equipments, the style of the video, the editing software, and the thumbnails. All are in this video. Let’s begin with the mindset of making videos. I think that without this factor, the rest can't be done. Basically, to start a YouTube channel, you need to find your preference. You don’t need to specify your audience What is their age? They’d be students, housewives, or health lovers. You don't have to decide it yet. Just focus on your preferences for the kind of video you want to make. I have some tips for those who still don't know. You just think that that video has no views. You make video for no one. What kind of video do you want to make? Ignore the total number of subscribers. Don't think about making videos to get more views. What kind of video do you want to make? And that will be what you really like to do it. The next step is to stop overthinking and upload the video. I really understand. I've been through it before. When you first start the channel and post a video, you'll be very nervous. Will anyone watch it? It's poorly edited. The video's lighting isn't very good. I was speaking confusingly. You're worried about everything, right? It's very normal to feel worried because it’s really new to you. Therefore, I want you to stop worrying and post it. It’s okay. Your video is not smooth or well-edited, but that’s okay. Your video will improve with time. Uploading videos frequently at first is the best strategy. The more videos you upload, the more you improve your skills. There are many mistakes in the first video. In the next video you upload, you'll get better at each skill. Of course, making YouTube videos requires many skills. Like speaking, talking, convincing, summarizing, making thumbnails, editing, finding music, adjusting light, and putting props in the right place. A lot more. There are many skills used in making videos. Every time you make a movie, your skills will definitely get better. So, you need to first post the first video. Each skill will be checked in the next video you make. Don’t worry, just post the video. Your video will surely get better. You can just take a look at my first video. Comparing that video to this video, it's quite different. So just post it and don't worry about it. Perhaps you might find your identity by posting videos often. For example, people like the way you talk. It is easy to understand. So keep it as your identity. Or they might want you to go outside instead of staying at home. So, you'll go outside frequently. You’ll find out your identity and the style of your channel. So, just do it! Another step is very important. It is consistency. Try to answer this question, everyone. Do you do it for fun or are you serious about it? Answer If you just do it for fun, that’s okay. You can just make videos for your diary or whatever. If you're serious about making this your career and making money from it, you'll need to be disciplined. When I started my YouTube channel, I was studying advertising. My teacher always told me that being consistent is a key part of building an identity and growing a channel. I keep it in mind and promise myself that I will upload one video per week. That's why, even if I have a ton of tasks or projects, I'll force myself to upload the video on Saturday. So, I keep doing it until now. You have to focus and push yourself to do it. It’s quite impossible if you post one video every two or three months, but it becomes popular or goes viral. Your consistency makes the YouTube algorithm detect that Oh, this girl uploads videos about iPads every week. Let's put her video on the feed. People will see her video when they search for iPads. That's it for the mindset when starting a YouTube channel, which is very important. Next, let's talk about production tools. For starters, it’s not necessary to use expensive tools or buy new ones. You can use your phone to record videos. And the most beautiful and free studio light is the sun. You can get a video by using a smartphone to record footage during the day. If you want to try using the camera, I recommend the Sony ZV1 or ZV1-F because it's compact and has a reasonable price. I’ll leave the link to the video that I shot with this camera. It give you a high-quality video. You can watch it. For this video, I use a Sony ZVE10 camera. I also use a Sony lens. It’s F1.4 GM. I didn’t use any studio lights. It’s natural light and the light at the back. For the tripod, according to the many brands and shapes I have tried, I found a brand that I would like to recommend to beginners. It is this one. It’s extendable stand. It's easy to adjust and easy to use. This is the most recommended one. Another tip for choosing the tripod is to choose the one with a ballhead. The ballhead helps you adjust angles easily and quickly. Your shooting will go well. You don't need to keep adjusting and fixing it because it can turn 360 degrees. Next is about the video style. Many people might feel awkward on camera. You do not know what to say on camera and it’s so awkward. it’s so awkward. I get it. Not everyone can talk this comfortably on camera. You might find that most YouTube videos show the YouTuber's face, but we don't really have to show our faces on camera. Your content could be animation. You can only show your body. It’s not necessary to show your face, though. You just shoot your body doing an activity. So do whatever makes you feel comfortable. It can be anything. In the future, when you get used to being in front of the camera, you may choose to either display your face on camera or wear a mask while recording videos. The way to talk casually on camera is to take your time. No one can be perfect the first time they talk on camera. Some people may be able to do that. But I have to practice talking with the camera. We have to think of the camera as a friend with whom you want to share something. So how do you tell them, like, what I’m talking to you right now? Well, behind the scene is… like this As you can see, this is what I’m talking with. If your camera has flip screen, try not to look at the screen to see yourself. You have to look at the lens. This is because your eyes will be looking at the audience. So, you'll make eye contact with them. Sometimes I look at the screen, though. Moreover, having the script will allow you to speak more fluently. Don’t make it hard. It can be written in any style you desire. You can write down what you’re going to say today in numbers. Aside from that, you can talk freely. For me, I write out a script for each video about what I will say which somehow looks a bit messy. Next is about the editing program and how to create thumbnails. Video editing worries a lot of people, including me. Do you know that when I first started the channel, my editing skills were at zero? It’s zero percent. I don’t know how to edit at all. That’s fine. No one can edit video for the first time. And it’s not necessary to edit videos like a pro. Each person's video style is different. Many apps and editing tools are easy to use these days. There are many elements, like stickers, that make our video more beautiful. If you have enough money, you could hire an editor. I had zero editing skills, so I learned it from YouTube. You just type in what you want to know. "How to add videos to the program." “How to add text.” I search for everything. I started learning it on YouTube, Until I get improve about editing video like today. I want to tell everybody. Don't ever think that you can't edit videos because you can learn. You'll find that cutting down on the cost of video editing will help you find your skill. A hidden skill you didn’t know before. So, let’s talk about the program. I edit video on my MacBook. The program is FinalCut Pro. There is a cost. I bought it for 10 baht. You could also use iMovie, which is a free app. If you like editing on iPad or iPhone. There are Capcut, VLLO, Vita, Inshot, and many more. There are many apps on the iPad and iPhone, and they're also cute. To choose an app, you need to know what features you like about each one. In Capcut, there are vintage stickers and frame. If you like vintage and aesthetic video styles, Captcut is a good choice. You can use their free trials to see which app you like the most. However, Capcut is free. About the sound, I got the sound from Epidemic Sound. It’s a monthly subscription to get royalty-free music. Another website is Thematic. You can use their songs for free, but you need to link to the license in the video description. It’s another good website. For thumbnails, It is very important because it’s the first thing viewers see and decide whether or not to watch your video. I make a thumbnail on my iPad by using Procreate. There are many tools. You can use another app, though. Like Canva, Keynote, or PowerPoint. The presentation apps. It depends on how you use them. Tools for making YouTube videos don't fix Video editing software has to be this app. You have to use this app for making thumbnail. You must use this camera. It doesn’t fix. You should choose the tool that works best for you. I believe you can choose the right one after doing it multiple times. Awaken your ability This is How To Video for the beginners. I hope it could help. I’ll leave the sources about apps, sound websites, tripods, and so on in the description below in case you want to see. See you again in the next video. If you want to see more videos for beginners, leave a comment below. Bye bye!
